With in-class learning set to resume in Regina on Monday, it has been revealed that the Regina Public School division is not regularly provided with the data that prompted the decision to return to class.
That is something NDP Education Critic Carla Beck pressed the government on during Question Period this morning,
Beck wanted to know why schools are being forced to make decisions with no information to go on.
Education Minister Dustin Duncan said that is not the case.
“Boards of directors meet with their local public health officers and people like (Provincial Chief Medical Health Officer) Dr. Saqib Shahab  on a regular basis.” Duncan said. ” These decisions are not made in a vacuum.  They are provided with the advice that is based on the information they have from local public health officers and the province,”
