PROTESTERS FORCED THEIR WAY INSIDE. CHRIS: WE TALKED TO CONGRESSWOMAN CINDY ASKED ME AS WELL AS CONGRESSWOMAN MARION AT MILLER MEEKS, JUST THREE WEEKS INTO HER TERM. NE SAID THE CHAOS HAPPEN IN A MATTER OF MINUTES. SHE SAID SHE WAS ON HER WAY OVER TO THE CAPITAL WHEN IT HAPPENE AND EVERYTHING BROKE LOOSE. SHE THEN WENT BACK TO HER RESIDENCE WHICH IS IN THE CAPITOL HILL COMPLEX. BOTH ARE SAFE TONIGHT AND BOTH AXNE AND MILLER MEEKS ARE CONDEMNING ALL THE VIOLENCE. MILLER MEEKS POINTED TO HER TIME IN THE MILITARY IN CONDEMNING WHAT HAPPEN. SHE DESCRIBED HOW SHE THINKS THE MOVE WILL BE ON CAPITOL HILL. AXNE TELL ME -- AXNE TOLD ME WHAT HAPPENED IS A COUP. >> THEY ARE HERE TO OVERTURN AN ELECTION. THEY ARE HERE TO OVERTURN THE PEOPLE’S VOTE. SO YES, THAT IS. >> I THINK THE MOOD IS GOING TO BE VERY SOMBER. I THINK MANY OF US SEE THIS AS A SAD DAY IN OUR DEMOCRACY. SO I THINK THE MOOD WILL BE SOMBER CHRIS: BOTH ARE CALLING FOR UNITY FROM BOTH DEMOCRATS AND REPUBLICANS. AXNE ALSO EXPRESSED SERIOUS DOUBTS OVER HOW THEY WERE ABLE TO STORM THE CAPITAL IN THE FIRST PLACE AND CONTRASTED IT TO BLACK LIVES MATTER PROTESTS EARLIER THIS -- LAST SUMMER. SHE SAID THERE WERE CLEARLY FAILURES IN ALL OF THIS AND SHE IS CALLING FOR CONGRESS TO INVESTIGATE THE RESPONSE, ESPECIALLY AS LAWMAKERS LOOK TO ENSURE THE SECURITY OF THE INAUGURATION COMING UP HERE IN JUST TWO WEEKS.
