Indianapolis traffic: North Split closures affect city streets, too

In addition to the North Split closure, INDOT announced shorter-term closures on city streets to make room for bridge demolitions. 
Starting on or after Monday, Vermont Street will close between Davidson and Pine streets.
The bridges over Vermont will be demolished, and construction is estimated to finish around June 7. Detours will take eastbound drivers on Vermont to New York Street and westbound drivers to Michigan Street.
Starting May 21, Central Avenue is slated for similar closures between 11th and 12th streets. The closure will affect drivers and IndyGo routes. The bridge is set for demolition, estimated to finish around June 3.
