Indiana Woman Kept Her Mom's Corpse, Says She Did Not Want to Be Alone

An Indiana woman kept her mom's corpse. Investigators said that she did not want to be alone, so she did not report her mother's death.
Authorities from Logansport Police discovered the rotting corpse after conducting a welfare check and a house search last January.
Besides the fact that Indiana woman kept her mom's corpse, she also admitted that she took $3000 from her mother's checking account.

Last January 29, police did a welfare check at a house where Cynthia Newman was living. No one opened the door, so authorities had to return with a search warrant.
