Humane Society of Greater Savannah provides 'Bark Rangers' at Wormsloe

On an overcast Tuesday morning, the staff of Wormsloe Historic Site welcomed their newest teammate, Kim, a five-year-old Sheppard mix. Kim, on loan from the Humane Society as part of “Dogs with Jobs,” will work for the day as a Bark Ranger.
Her task? To get adopted.
The Humane Society for Greater Savannah launched a new adoption program “Bark Rangers," which happens every other Tuesday at Wormsloe Historic Site. The next Bark Ranger reports for duty on Tuesday, Feb. 9.
“You can’t get a much better partnership,” said Wormsloe site manager, Gretchen Greminger. “The dog gets to spend a day in the woods, and we get to hang out with a fun, four-legged friend. The dog socializes outside of the kennel and gets to release some pent up energy.”
