PLANNING chiefs have rejected a proposal to enlarge a house in the New Forest National Park.
The Lymington-based National Park Authority (NPA) has refused an application relating to a semi-detached property at Pollards Moor Road, Copythorne.
Copythorne Parish Council had objected to the application.
It said the proposed development would increase the property's floorspace by more than the 30% allowed and would have a harmful impact on neighbours.
A report to NPA members added: "Consent is sought to add a first floor extension over an existing flat-roofed extension.
"The proposed extension would have an oppressive and overbearing impact towards the occupants of the neighbouring property.
