Hospitalizations from COVID-19 cases increase in Asheville area over last 10 days

The number of hospitalizations related to COVID-19 have greatly increased in Western North Carolina in the last 10 days, hospital officials said.
A spokesperson for HCA Healthcare said there were seven COVID-19 patients on July 11. By Tuesday, July 20, those numbers had more than tripled, with 24 cases across Mission and Angel Medical Center.
That's about a 242 percent increase.
