Residents in Homer Township voted to save and renovate their town hall in a split decision of 139 to 84 at their annual meeting. The town hall had been in limbo since the board initially approved the demolition of the building, but residents expressed their sentimentality and emotions about preserving the historic building. The town will spend $395,000 to renovate the existing town hall, preserving its historic structure, as opposed to $235,000 to demolish and rebuild it.
