An election for two Mesquite ISD school board seats is approaching. Four candidates, including two incumbents, have filed to run for the seats.
Here’s what you can expect to see on your ballot for the May 1 election. Early voting starts April 19.
Mesquite ISD Board of Trustees election
Place 6: Incumbent Elaine Hornsby Whitlock will run against Devan Minyard. Whitlock was elected to the seat in 2015. Minyard is a first-time candidate who has served on the district’s School Health Advisory Committee and on a decision-making committee at Berry Middle School.
