Helmsdale pupils send messages of support to elderly and isolated in their community

It is a Rotakids pledge that pupils at Helmsdale Primary School are determined to honour.
Senior pupils have committed to endeavouring to be fair to all, serve their community and show respect to others.
And as part of that, youngsters in primary six and seven recently wrote festive letters of reassurance to elderly and isolated residents in the area.

Teacher Shelly Taylor said: “The pupils are very aware that many people don’t have access to social media and that Christmas cards are not as common as they once were.
