Helias falls to Washington in Class 4 title game

SPRINGFIELD — It was a pitchers’ duel for the first six innings between the Helias Lady Crusaders and the Washington Blue Jays.

Something had to happen offensively, whether it was getting the big hit or choosing to bunt.

Washington opted to go small ball, and it won the Blue Jays a state title.
