TRIBUTES have been paid to a woman whose laugh could fill a room.
Mandi Harris was known to hundreds of people in Deeside as "Mandi from the Hare" after working behind the bar of the Hare and Hounds in Connah's Quay for years.
The 48-year-old died suddenly at home on Wednesday evening.
Her partner of 32 years Steven Prestidge said Mandi was a much-loved character in Deeside where she knew everybody and everybody knew her.
But he added that, although she was much-loved, she would take no nonsense when she was behind the bar.
Steve said: "She was known as Mandi from the Hare. Everyone knew her. She was one of those bubbly people. She was brought up in Mancot and I've lived in the Quay all my life. I'm 51 now, and Mandi knew ten times more people than me in the Quay. If we walked to Iceland in Shotton we'd have to stop every 20 yards to talk to someone.
