Dimapur, Nov. 19 (EMN): The Bookhome, a library for children, was formally inaugurated near ETE Coffee at Billy Graham Road in Kohima by the advisor to Nagaland Chief Minister, Abu Metha, on November 19. Speaking on the occasion, Metha congratulated the proprietor and lauded her for releasing her long-felt dream into reality by opening a library, which he said would be helpful not only for children but also to those who have inculcated the habit of reading. “Reading makes us grow, learn, broaden our view and induce us to do well in life,” Metha said. He described himself an avid reader and recalled how he spent his time and energy on reading books during his school days. He shared how reading has been part and parcel of his life and how reading is helping him to keep himself abreast with the latest happenings around the world, stated a DIPR report. He also mentioned that devices and films do help but nothing could be substituted to reading. He, therefore, emphasised the importance of reading and urged children to strongly inculcate the habit of reading.
