Havelock Lions spread the love with fundraiser for hospital playscape

It stars Peter Meikle and Rae McGregor.
Cameron said Havelock Lions was hoping to raise $1500 from the performance, to add to the $650 already raised from an earlier market.
The Havelock club, together with several other Lions clubs, have pledged a total of $500,000 for the construction of the specially designed therapeutic playscape at the Wellington Children’s Hospital, still under construction.

The Havelock Lions are putting on Love Letters at the Canvastown Hall on January 23.
Playscapes, with special sensory surfaces, had been used for some time by hospitals overseas for various therapies, and had proven to aid rehabilitation, and increase emotional states, social participation and well-being.
