Jackie & The Racket’s single is the latest installment from the reliably great Dutch Records single series. Jackie and company recently moved to Nashville, and hopefully soon the good folks of Tennessee will get a chance to see their live show, which they are known for. On their latest release Jackie & The Racket combine country, southern rock and added a dash of psychedelia. It’s under the surface, but it’s not your average country bar band….not at all. “June 16th” and “Swamp Queen” share a familiar sense of that Americana vibe with an undercurrent of something a tad different. The appearance of Dillon Groves from Colter Wall's band adds a nice depth to the track.
