Green Lantern Show on HBO Max Casts Its Guy Gardner
American Horror Story‘s Finn Wittrock is set to dive into the brightest day and darkest night, as he has been tapped to play the lead role of Green Lantern Guy Gardner in HBO Max’s upcoming Green Lantern TV show. The series is coming from Greg Berlanti, who produces the Arrowverse shows, and is looking to finally, finally, finally get one of DC’s biggest heroes right on the screen after Ryan Reynolds’
Green Lantern film basically left the character untouchable for a decade.
Variety reports that Gardner will be true to his comic book character, describing him “as a hulking mass of masculinity” and “an embodiment of 1980s hyper-patriotism.” If that has you worried about the series being some sort of parody, since that was basically what Gardner was in the Justice League comics he appeared in, don’t be. The show is set to focus on a plethora of Earth Green Lanterns and the Green Lantern Corps itself.
