Grand jury report: Humboldt County paying millions in rent, suggests owning office space instead

In its second report of the year, the Humboldt County Civil Grand Jury found office space costs the county about $500,000 in rent every month, or nearly $6 million per year. The report recommended the county look into acquiring buildings and consolidating operations to save money in the long-term.
