Government needs to stop treating violence against women as "political problems"

Shadow Minister for Women and Education Tanya Plibersek was at yesterday's Canberra March 4 Justice rally, where she received a petition from tens of thousands of women demanding a range of actions including sexual harassment training for all MPs and their staff.
Plibersek says Scott Morrison "continues to profoundly miss the point", after he commented that March 4 Justice protesters are lucky to not be "met with bullets" as they might be in other countries.
She's calling for an end to violence against women, and says the Government needs to stop treating violence against women as a political problems.
