GlobalFoundries to get $1.5B for second fab in Malta

Semiconductor manufacturer GlobalFoundries will receive $1.5 billion in federal funding over the next 10 years to expand its operations in Malta and support projects in Vermont, creating thousands of jobs, according to an announcement by several federal officials.
