Gibsonburg's 'Gauntlet Run' raising money for Brandan's Brigade fund

GIBSONBURG - For members of the Fremont Elite Runners Club, Brandan Biggert became a familiar face over the years as a volunteer at 5k and 10k races.
"Anyone who ran in a local race, everybody knew Brandan," said Marc Glotzbecker, Gibsonburg's village administrator, calling Biggert one of the "most genuine and positive people you'll ever meet."
Following Biggert's death in 2016, Glotzbecker said the runner's club formed Brandan's Brigade the next year to honor Biggert's dedication and help provide quality running shoes to economically disadvantaged area middle and high school track and cross country athletes.
Glotzbecker said the Fremont Elite Runners Club holds three fundraising runs a year to raise money for the Brandan's Brigade fund.
