German economy minister returns home after farmers block island ferry

Robert Habeck, Germany's vice chancellor and economy minister, finally made it to the German mainland early Friday, hours after angry farmers prevented him from exiting a passenger ferry travelling from a North Sea island. "Mr Habeck arrived home safely," said a police spokesman in the northern city of Flensburg. Habeck took a later ferry from Hallig Hooge island to the mainland and arrived home at around 2:30 am (0130 GMT). He was not met with protesters upon the ferry's docking, police said. O
