Far over there, israel stance. So lots to get through. We start so lots to get through. We start with this. Well done, everyone. With this. Well done, everyone. On the telegraph report that the erstwhile french president , Emmanuel Macron is stealing britains millionaires with the uks super rich dwindling in number as they make their way across the channel. Mel out where once britain was a world leader in attracting the super rich to our shores, punishing tax changes have sent them running for the hills more millionaires are now emigrating from the uk than arriving , from the uk than arriving, according to analysis by migration consultancy henley and partners as the country you wont believe this figure. Britain has lost 12,000 wealthy individuals since 2017. That is, those with assets and cash of more than 800 grand. 1500 rich people left in 2022. This mass exodus has not been helped by the watering down of tax benefits for people who have so called non dom status. British residents who have a permanent home abroad tax collected from these rich individuals is over £1 billion less annually than it was in 20 1718. Weve lost half a billion in National Insurance contributions from these people and 70 odd million from Capital Gains tax. We are making ourselves poorer. Meanwhile, macron is a canny politician for whom my respect grows is hoovering up these High Net Worth individuals and france are now number three in the world for having the most millionaire heirs behind china and the us. So how have they done it . Well, tax breaks for the rich left leaning politicians in france were furious with macron when he introduced radical tax reforms , introduced radical tax reforms, scrapping the contentious wealth tax on everything except property assets. He also property assets. He also introduced a 30 flat rate tax on Capital Gains dividends and interests. He has effectively halved the tax paid by the very wealthy. So it seems that these wealthy. So it seems that these rich people are not only moving to france for the croissant, its a safe place for their money. Now, why does this matter to you and me . Isnt it right to you and me . Isnt it right that the wealthiest should pay the most . Well, of course, im very sad that our world is so unequal. But i live in the real unequal. But i live in the real world too. The reality is that if you clobber wealthy people, they just go somewhere else. If they just go somewhere else. If you want to have a successful economy , its got to have economy, its got to have successful people in it. Its a simple choice. Successful people in it. Its a simple choice. You can go after simple choice. You can go after the rich, but they take their cash elsewhere. How much of a cash elsewhere. How much of a victory is it for the british people if millionaires are investing their money in singapore or dubai rather than here . For how much of a victory is it for the british people . If rich people are buying their rolls royces in paris or luxembourg rather than london or. Manchester in the end, the tax receipts that wealthy people in this country deliver and they cough up disproportionately more than the rest of us pay for the nhs. They pay for policing , they nhs. They pay for policing, they pay nhs. They pay for policing, they pay for schools and defence and all of the Public Services that we value so much. But with these punitive taxes for the wealthy, were sending a message that they are not welcome in the United Kingdom. Taxing the rich might make an attractive headline, but in the end its an act of self harm and a race to the bottom, which is why labours plans to scrap the tax breaks for non doms altogether here means more of the super wealthy jumping on eurostar wealthy jumping on the eurostar as fast as their legs can carry them. Their frogs legs. Emmanuel macron is not stupid. He understands that an economy is based on Wealth Creators and he understands the huge value that millionaire foreigners bnng that millionaire foreigners bring to his country. That millionaire foreigners bring to his country. At exactly bring to his country. At exactly the same time that were telling them to off. Its time to end them to off. Its time to end the war on the wealthy. We need their money. Were losing our way , folks, for a country that way, folks, for a country that calls itself the home of enterprise and the home of aspiration, an all of this is a bit rich. Bit rich. I must say. I do get my daily exercise dashing across that studio like that, almost like the wembley pitch. Okay, lets get reaction from yourselves. Mark at gb news dot com. What do you think . I would argue that we should absolutely look after rich people. We want them to be here because we need their cash, we need their investment and we want them spending money in london, manchester, belfast, cardiff and edinburgh, not dubai and singapore. Of course, labour would argue that the lower taxes for non doms is deeply unfair and will raise billions. So look, its all about opinions. Whats yours . Lets now get the whats yours . Lets now get the reaction of my top pundits. Tonight we have political commentator lin mei, writer Benedict Spence and academic lisa mckenzie. Lynn, what do you lisa mckenzie. Lynn, what do you think about this . I agree with everything you said, and this is what happens when you have a country that is seeming to be anti growth. You seeming to be anti growth. You know, its not ambitious. Its know, its not ambitious. Its non aspirational. You and i non aspirational. You and i wouldnt blame these people for going abroad if you think about 20 years ago, 39. 6 of taxes were paid by the 5 top 5. Now its 50. So all these people that continuously hate the rich or tax the rich more , theyre or tax the rich more, theyre paying or tax the rich more, theyre paying the majority of the taxes already. And without them, like you said, they dont have to stay here. If we continue to hate them, we drive them away. And whos pay the and whos going to pay the majority the taxes . Majority of the taxes . Thats right. Mean, well, thats right. I mean, clobbering the super rich benedict make a good benedict might make a good headline. It might make all of us better, just us feel better, but it just makes us poorer. Id be curious to know what the democrats graphics are, though. Group are these though. What age group are these super wealthy people . Because this the things that this is one of the things that we need bear in mind is as we do need to bear in mind is as wonderful britain and as wonderful as britain is and as wonderful as britain is and as wonderful london is, wonderful as london is, it is not really a place that is conducive, conducive to rather, a of lifestyle. A certain type of lifestyle. A lot of people who make a lot of money life, they decide money in later life, they decide to britain, which is its to swap britain, which is its a nice place, but it not nice place, but it is not as nice place, but it is not as nice as, say, the south of france they decide to move. France and they decide to move. Oh, wait a minute. Hold fire a second. Hold fire for a second. Hold fire for a second. They dont have full they dont have the full engush they dont have the full english breakfast. Dont english breakfast. They dont have. When youve got that kind of money, get anything on money, you can get anything on the riviera. It is not a the french riviera. It is not a problem. And actually, hate problem. And actually, i hate to say the say it, but some of the ingredients, croissant, they ingredients, the croissant, they are, better. Are, theyre obviously better. The is obviously the orange juice is obviously better south of france. Better on the south of france. But rich people to italy, rich people motivated by money. People are motivated by money. If it was cheaper to live and if it was cheaper to live in britain, they would likely stay people, i think, stay a lot more people, i think, would their would certainly keep their tax affairs uk. Affairs in the uk. But i think if youre somebody who has decided youre going the golden of going to the golden years of your you like, and you your life, if you like, and you dont spending much dont plan on spending that much time uk, actually it time in the uk, actually it makes lot of sense to just makes a lot of sense to just wrap up, it up, make it wrap it up, tie it up, make it all nice and easy youre all nice and easy if youre moving to say the moving your life to say the south france italy, south of france or italy, i dont know. France has always well, france has always been there, like this there, though. Why . I like this 1200 last year, mark, id just like sort of know more about like to sort of know more about these figures you said these figures because you said were a billion were going to lose a billion pounds tax. Weve far pounds in tax. Weve so far since 2017, weve lost a billion. Almost billion. Okay. Well, we almost lost billion last week lost half a billion last week when ecclestone didnt when Bernie Ecclestone an didnt sort got, of sort of say what hed got, of course. Thing is, is course. So the thing is, is lets be lets not be sort lets not be lets not be sort of kind about these rich people. Of kind about these rich people. They they hide. They hide their money. The wealth inequality at the top is getting larger and larger. The inequality between the sort of nought point, nought 1 and then the rest is getting larger and larger. They are hiding money, they are removing money away from countries. So money away from countries. So therefore theyre not actually theyre not. I hear you about Bernie Ecclestone. Yeah. Ecclestone. Yeah. And that was last week my mother. Would that was last week. Mother would say that the billionaires are billionaires for a reason, and theyre probably pretty because they probably. But but because their dads were millionaires. Thats why were millionaires. Thats why theyre billionaires. Theyre billionaires. Lisa, i share your sadness that live in unequal that we live in an unequal world. Its dreadful world. I think its dreadful that people driving that there are people driving around that be around in cars that would be a gold to. Yeah, that you could buy five houses, but how does it benefit britain . How does it benefit britain . How does it benefit britain . How does it benefit my viewers and listeners if these people are living if these rich people are living in instead . In france instead . Well ill tell you, well well, ill tell you, ill tell you what. Lets start to think about whats happened in live in in london. People who live in london happened to london know whats happened to property london over the last property in london over the last 20 property has gone out 20 years. Property has gone out of ordinary people of control. Ordinary people cant afford to live in london and then thats had a and that is mainly because of overseas investors using property in london as money. Boxs rather than homes. Now that i think thats different well thats had a thats had a major effect on the rest of the country i think normally youre straight normally youre very straight talking, but i think youre talking, lisa but i think youre dodging question. Talking, lisa but i think youre docim] question. Talking, lisa but i think youre docim not question. Talking, lisa but i think youre docim not youveion. Talking, lisa but i think youre docim not youve not told me. Im not youve not told me. Lets imagine that theres a rich person who has one property in and they their in london and they buy their rolls royces here. Does it rolls royces here. How does it benefit them to to benefit us for them to move to another their another country and spend their money their money elsewhere . Does it not . I mean, well, does it not . I mean, you know, one person. I mean. Okay, well, let me give you an example. Whats vat on a rolls whats the vat on a rolls royce . Probably £50,000. Yeah. They in london or they buy a roller in london or manchester. Yeah. The exchequer. The get that cash. But the treasury get that cash. But if in france or if if theyre in france or if theyre in singapore, they dont. And then also what youve got as well is if they and when as well is if, if they and when do have house . Mean do they have one house . I mean when does that happen. Theyve got its houses by theyve got if its houses by the when theyve got stamp duty. Its thing why i was its one thing why i was saying that i was interested in the demographics this is the demographics of this is if you central you go through central london, actually, mentioned actually, because you mentioned rather tellingly, the gold cars that very often they that you see very often they have number plates that have either uae or they have either the uae or they have saudi they have saudi arabia or they have something before the something similar on before the war in ukraine, you saw a lot of Young Russians there. Young russians in there. Of people come from a lot of people come from overseas, people overseas, younger people to london london is a supra london because london is a supra city. Its something were talking that just talking about people that just have 800,000. Yeah , yeah. Yeah, yeah. Yeah, yeah. Well, im not talking about those were too focussed. We might be on older we might be losing on older millionaires, older billionaires, people , billionaires, but young people, they come here and this is the other great banking other thing, the great banking exodus were told they exodus that we were told they were going to move in were going to move to paris in frankfurt happened. They were going to move to paris in franihere happened. They were going to move to paris in franihere becauserppened. They were going to move to paris in franihere because london. They stay here because london is a city for young dynamic city for young and dynamic people, not for old. Not talking about but were not talking about the that is the demographic that is reflective you reflective of the uber rich. You know, saudi sheiks, were talking about people that just have 800,000. I know to a lot of people, thats a lot of money. But that could be from someone who had properties and who had two properties and theyve it and thought it theyve sold it and thought it doesnt to stay in doesnt benefit me to stay in this country. And if we as i said previously, only 5 pay the majority of the tax. So we can all three of us hate the rich and continue to say lets tax them more. But they pay the briefly, if you can, briefly, if you can. Well, all all im saying is that the super rich that we have in this country, as has not benefited as a as a country benefited us as a as a country or as a nation or as a society. Receipts that they. Receipts that they. But again, what about the but what about the amount of tax that they dont pay . I mean, a few years , tax they do few years, the tax that they do pay . Few years, the tax that they do pay . Know they wont pay pay . Well, i know they wont pay that anyway, even if they are crooked. If even if they crooked, if even if they are crooked, if they £1 million a year, if they pay £1 million a year, ill is ill take that. £1 million is more than nothing. Ecclestones been held to and ecclestones been held to account. Now to pay out lot. Okay. Okay. 500 grand. What is hiding . 500 grand. What is he hiding . 500 grand. What is he hiding . Listen, going to get in listen, im going to get in trouble greg. Let me tell trouble with greg. Let me tell you that i want your. I want your i think you your views. I think if you clobber the rich, feel clobber the rich, you feel better. Country is better. But the country is poorer. Me know your poorer. But let me know your thoughts. Gb news. Com thoughts. Margaret gb news. Com coming up next in the big story, were respected were joined by the respected rabbi from the rabbi who has resigned from the fa their refusal to shine fa over their refusal to shine the of israeli flag the colours of the israeli flag on the wembley arch. That is unmissable and thats. Radio. It turns out that Emmanuel Macron is stealing our millionaires. I think we should millionaires. I think we should bnng millionaires. I think we should bring down the taxes on rich people because we need their money. Well, big reaction on email market gbnews. Com. Alan says mark, if the non doms leave labours nhs or is it dentist or schools plan or whatever else the non dom tax is paying for will be dead in the water. What is starmers plan b tax tax and tax. Again, kevin says mark, youre missing one of the main reasons why wealthy people leave the uk. The weather. There you the uk. The weather. There you go. Cant argue with that one and cant change it either. Can we keep those emails coming . Its time now for the big story. And a rabbi who has worked with the decade has the fa for over a decade has resigned in protest of their refusal to light up the wembley arch in the colours of the israeli flag. Rabbi alex israeli flag. Rabbi alex goldberg, the university of surreys dean of religious life and belief and campus. Rabbi sent a letter to Mark Bullingham , the ceo of the fa , expressing , the ceo of the fa, expressing his disappointment in the letter, rabbi goldberg said tonight i want to formally break the link between our Advisory Group and the Football Association. In doing so, i feel i can better express my profound disappointment in the fas decision not to have a specific tribute during the upcoming matches against australia and italy at Wembley Stadium to the victims of the worst single atrocity committed against jewish targets since the shoah. Jewish targets since the shoah. This comes especially in the light of the global soledar charity shown in response to the tragic murder of a thousand civilians in israel , civilians in israel, encompassing all ages and walks of life, including 17 british citizens that saw downing street, the eiffel tower , and street, the eiffel tower, and the Empire State Building lit up in white and blue. Well, im privileged to say that rabbi goldberg joins us now. And rabbi , welcome to mark dolan tonight. Why do you think the fa have failed to carry out this gesture . Thank you, mark. Im im not sure why the fa have failed to carry out this gesture , and i carry out this gesture, and i think that they have lost the idea of morality, really. Theyre trying to make moral equivalence. Let me be very clear that , um , this tragedy , clear that, um, this tragedy, the atrocious nature youve just read out in my statement of last saturdays actions, what happened a week ago was a pre meditated planned action against men, women, children and babies, and in several years ago, mark, i brought an Interfaith Group and intercultural group. Thats what i work in. I bring together communities both in the uk and in the middle east. I am very involved in israeli , involved in israeli, palestinian, egyptian, jordanian, dialogue as jordanian, lebanese dialogue as well. I dont usually make statements like this, but the tragedy was so enormous that i thought we had to mark it and i brought an Interfaith Group, a number of years ago after the massacres in paris, where i think youll recall the arch was up in the tricolour and the crowd sang the marseillaise as israel is a ally of the United Kingdom , this is an attack on kingdom, this is an attack on its civilians, which has led directly to the conflict. And the pictures were seeing today of war. And as von clausewitz says, all war is hell and hell is happening now in the middle east. I pray as a rabbi who has friends in lebanon in in the palestinian areas , in israel, palestinian areas, in israel, jordan, whatever this just stops and this madness stops. But in some way. And we can curtail the violence. But i thought that a specific tribute needed to be made to those victims. Mark, im a university chaplain, as you pointed out , a university chaplain, as you pointed out, and ive spoken to 40 to 50 students and staff this week. And one of them told me week. And one of them told me the first call i got was from a student who lost his best friend on saturday. He told me two days later that he found out his younger brother had lost another friend. Some of names are friend. Some of the names are coming out slowly. The next student i spoke to has been attacked twice guildford. She attacked twice in guildford. She is a shes a training to be a midwife in the nhs and has a five. Shes a single mom with a five. Shes a single mom with a five year old autistic child and she has a mezuzah on her door. What the stick that jews have on their door. A gang surrounds her door trying to smash it in or knock on it or make loud noises and eventually through a rotten chicken, with chicken, through her window with with. They came back. Two with sauce. They came back. Two days later, her autistic child is living in fear as as anti semitic attacks on our people go up threefold. I then people go up threefold. I then met people in our community who spent time on kibbutz , vary in spent time on kibbutz, vary in their life and have lost many, many friends coming on air. Coming on air tonight , another coming on air tonight, another friend again, somebody like me who is very well known in interfaith , has just found out interfaith, has just found out her friend survived the attack on that kibbutz. But most of her friends, friends have passed away for them. And so i could away for them. And so i could look them in the face last night when i did friday night dinner, i had to make a stand. Thats why, mark and youve made quite a sacrifice because youve been with the fa for ten years now. Im sure that you did it and im sure that you did it with heavy heart. Now weve with a heavy heart. Now weve reached to the fa for reached out to the fa for comment. Yet to comment. They have yet to respond and they have acknowledged the tragedy. The players wore armbands for that. England, australia game and a minutes silence was observed. Minutes silence was observed. Are you persuaded by the idea that the Football Association simply didnt want to take sides . Does that wash with you . . Does that wash with you . Its not about taking sides. This is a question of humanity. Hamas targeted people in that area that included bedouin arab muslims. It included many jews. Muslims. It included many jews. Obviously the vast majority of victims were it included International Community and who are raving, who are partying in are raving, who are partying in a secular way on a jewish festival. There are just, you know, young people. And this was know, young people. And this was planned. Theres more and more coming out about this and more and more verified documents. And and more verified documents. And i believe in verified news that, you know , the hamas , they are you know, the hamas, they are terrorists, the Hamas Terrorists were captured with maps trying looking to see schools and youth clubs potentially to kidnap, potentially to kill. What sort potentially to kill. What sort of person does this . This is this is an atrocious act. And its this act that i wanted to be marked in in a significant way. Any statement put out there are good statements out this week, mark. There are statements out this week that say that they condemn this atrocious act and they single it out and they have concerns about the loss of life , concerns about the loss of life, palestinian loss of life , jewish palestinian loss of life, jewish loss of life. But and that is occurring in this conflict right now thats resulted direct from hamass actions. Im not a politician. Im not a im not a spokesman of the israeli government. And it would be very odd if i was. Thats not my usual place. But i am a rabbi and i feel that i need to speak up for my community because many, many feel they are unable. Well, there are many jewish. There are many jewish people working for who feel working in the for who feel unable speak and i need unable to speak up. And i need to a voice. To give them a voice. The is against rabbi, the clock is against us. Rabbi goldberg. The clock is against us. But there has been widespread disappoint about the world football, how theyve world of football, how theyve responded this. Had the responded to this. We had the premier tweeting a premier league tweeting a statement about an escalating crisis , but no focus on a terror crisis, but no focus on a terror attack on innocent civilians. The bbc arent using the word terrorist , but the king the bbc arent using the word terrorist, but the king is and so is the prince of wales and the duke of sussex. So its good the duke of sussex. So its good enough for the king, but not good enough for the national broadcaster. And now the fa will broadcaster. And now the fa will not shine the colours of the israeli flag onto the famous wembley arch. Briefly, if you can, what kind of message does that send to the jewish People Living in this country . Who are facing an escalation of abuse and jewish people around the world . And i think the message it sendsis and i think the message it sends is that is that they dont care. They dont care on the on on thursday , on the day they on thursday, on the day they made the decision, they also wrote to me to say they wanted to downsize the hanukkah party. I mean, i dont care why, but timing is everything, isnt it, mark, this we need to care and we need to make a moral stance and thats what im doing. And of course, i will make a moral stance next week or the week after. And i if there are other tragedies around the world, i believe in humanitarian law. I believe in humanitarian law. I believe in human rights and i believe in human rights and i believe in human rights and i believe in peace in the middle east. But right now, i wanted a statement made. And statement to be made. And tomorrow i will rebuild relations between communities and the hope that we will achieve peace both here and the middle east. But we need for the Jewish Community to be rest assured that they are safe. I assured that they are safe. I know that. Can i finish up with just one story . I mean, i was sitting outside a kosher super market in north west london, a heavily armoured police, heavily armed police for theyre not armed police for theyre not armed protection. Theyre protection to 80 year old women had their bags searched and as they went into their local supermarket and then they turned around to me and apologised for delaying them, thats thats thats britain in 2023. We need to reassurance to our Jewish Community and we need to give reassurance to those who have lost people in this atrocity. Last weekend. Most people i know last weekend. Most people i know either know somebody or know somebody that knows somebody. Somebody that knows somebody. There are there are many most british jews in israel , british jews in israel, children, cousins , nephews, children, cousins, nephews, aunts. You know, there are aunts. You know, there are 50,000 british passport holders living in israel today. There are 300,000 jews living in britain. You can do the maths. This is not about politics. This is about ties of kinship. And i think we need reassurance. Think we need reassurance. As rabbi alex gold berg, thank you so much for your time and all of our wishes. Thank you. At this awful moment for jewish people in the uk and around the world, thank you very much. Coming up with tonights newsmaker and its a slightly different story because it is saturday night. So a bit of a gear change, but it turns out itv is in the full throes of a civil war over the departure of Holly Willoughby. So can this morning survive . Ill be asking a former regular on the show tv star kim woodburn. Plus, weve star kim woodburn. Plus, weve been asking in an exclusive mark dolan tonight peoples poll should those waving the flag of Hamas Terrorists face criminal prosecution . Well, the results are in, and i shall bring them to you after radio. Now. In the course of today, weve been conducting a mark dolan tonight peoples poll. Ive been asking, should those waving the flag of hamas face criminal prosecution . Well, the criminal prosecution . Well, the results are in and its 84 say, yes, they should be prosecuted and 16 say no. Well debate that with the pundits later. A couple of emails. Do we tax rich people too much . It turns out that many are now going to france. I that many are now going to france. I think that many are now going to france. I think its that many are now going to france. I think its bad that many are now going to france. I think its bad news. France. I think its bad news. I think its a race to the bottom , think its a race to the bottom, as elizabeth says. Why cant the left understand that we to left understand that we have to persuade the stay and persuade the rich to stay and pay . Persuade the rich to stay and pay . We cant force them to also pay . We cant force them to also go. If you lower and flatten the taxes, more money comes in. Mark says, surely im appalled at the apparent lack of support for israelis considering how much support has been shown to blm. The wembley arch should have been lit up in blue and white. Why have those protesting against israel not been arrested for their support of hamas . For their support of hamas . Susan finally says these hypocrites at the fa are happy to have people take the knee for a corrupt organisation. But a corrupt organisation. But money is more important than showing support for those executed. The fa are disgusting executed. The fa are disgusting and really should be boycotted, says susan n. Now folks, after a horrible few days, shall we have a bit of light relief and talk about itv in crisis . The editor of this morning who is presenter Holly Willoughbys former rock , Holly Willoughbys former rock, was left out of her sudden exit conversation. According to reports, martin frizell, who has produced the show since 2016, was sent who was said to have supported holly throughout the Phillip Schofield scandal. However, despite their close bond, its been alleged that martin, who is the husband of tv presenter fiona phillips, reportedly found out that holly had decided to leave this morning, just 20 minutes before she went public with it. A source told the mail online martin always spoke so highly of holly, he adored her and he was extremely loyal. Its the talk of itv that he was told so late on the insider continues. It doesnt exactly seem overly respectful. What a way to treat respectful. What a way to treat an editor. Well, there you go, folks. Theres trouble in paradise. Lets get reaction to this bombshell story with a major tv star in her own right, channel 4 presenter and the queen of clean, kim woodburn. Queen of clean, kim woodburn. Kim, great to have you back on the show. If this is true, do you think the producer has a right to be offended . Right to be offended . Not at all. Look, she showed no respect for Phillip Schofield 14 years. She worked with him. She went she worked with him. She went behind his back and threw him under the bus. Why would frizell presume that shes going to show respect to him . The only person shed respect is herself. I mean, lets say look, i said it and im going to say it again. Sorry, listeners, shes a. Shes a now, look, she turned up at the Television Awards. She meant the Television Awards. She meant how she had the nerve. I mean, how she had the nerve. I mean, honestly, i wouldnt like her nerve in my tooth. Dear she turned up in her gown sitting there. Can i stop you in your tracks . I dont like to interrupt you because, of course, its all about opinions on this show. Mark dolan tonight is the home of diverse opinion. But you calling her but dont you think calling her a is a little harsh . A is a little harsh . No, i dont think. I think no, i dont think. I think any person that works with a partner for 14 years and throws him under the bus and expect to have the same influence she had look , philip and her went look, philip and her went together. I look, philip and her went together. I dont think look, philip and her went together. I dont think shes together. I dont think shes a good presenter. Shes not a presenter. Shes a oh , yes. No, presenter. Shes a oh, yes. No, he was the presenter. And if it hadnt been philips, i dont like Phillip Schofield and im not going to say i do , but lets not going to say i do, but lets face it, he kept her in work, my love. He was the harsh one that although he thought he was rude, entertaining, she was the one that took 14 years of top salary just now saying, oh, philip , oh just now saying, oh, philip, oh philip never once said philip, i dont agree with a word youre saying. She you know, or she would say clear. Ive got no time. She thought shed got rid of philip. She was going to turn up at the awards. She was going to be the top cat, the look on her face when that show was mentioned at the Television Awards. And, you know, this is awards. And, you know, this is true. A good third. A good third, perhaps more of the audience at the Television Awards are own colleagues booed, horrendous. Boo. Now, now. So yeah. And on kim kim, i hear you. But i mean, lets go through some of what youve said. So you say that she threw philip under the well, i mean, stood the bus. Well, i mean, she stood loyally to next him and by him the bus. Well, i mean, she stood loy14y to next him and by him the bus. Well, i mean, she stood loy 14 years. Xt him and by him the bus. Well, i mean, she stood loy 14 years. Andm and by him the bus. Well, i mean, she stood loy 14 years. And secondly him the bus. Well, i mean, she stood loy 14 years. And secondly ,1im the bus. Well, i mean, she stood loy 14 years. And secondly , you for 14 years. And secondly, you say she good money. Okay. Say that she good money. Okay. Well, she was obviously paid well for it. You also said that shes a bad tv presenter or not talented. Well, shes done just about every show you can think of. Shes got millions of viewers. And i just wonder about that language youve used. I mean, i dont you think she would be quite upset . I mean, im tempted to apologise to my viewers for the language youve used. Why do you think you would used. Why do you think you would go that far to use such an expletive about a very popular star . But shes not popular. Its ridiculous to say that you speak to people and you hear them talk and they say to you , well, i and they say to you, well, i dont like im glad shes gone. This popularity is built up by the channel she works for her. It went philip went for whatever reason, holly was finished. Phil and holly went together. He was the rude one. She was the passive one. We couldnt do without the rude one. When she got rid of him, she got rid of herself. She is not that popular. She sneaked into the queens Memorial Service and shes the only one. He admitted he was lying. She still says to this day, oh no, i was working. This day, oh no, i was working. Shes a i am sorry. And i will say it. I say, what i think and ispeak say it. I say, what i think and i speak to a lot of people that say to me, kim, you know something . Youre absolutely right. Is a. Something . Youre absolutely right. Is a. And ill tell you something i do not understand. Something i do not understand. Kim. Kim, let me let me let me just say that i disassociate myself from that language. This myself from that language. This show is , you know, were show is, you know, were post watershed , so you can use post watershed, so you can use fruity language if you want. But i think i just think. Fruity language if you want. But i think i just think. Kim, kim, i think i just think. Kim, kim, ill come back to you in a moment. I think that hollys been through a lot in the last few months. Okay. Kim let me come back to you. Is not a sin. Many a man has an affair providing he has an affair for the person of age. Why should that . Kim . Kim, why why should that . Kim . Kim, why should just throw him off a ship . Okay now, kim, look, i know why kim, speak. Know why kim, let me speak. Me see now. Understand let me see now. I understand your running high your feelings are running high and no gets and listen, no one gets cancelled. Not on my watch. But ijust cancelled. Not on my watch. But i just think that kind of very aggressive, almost violent language, it language, i dont think it becomes you, kim. Dont think becomes you, kim. I dont think its appropriate for a talented young broadcaster who has had a very tough few months. I mean, shes basically seen her career hanging by a thread after all that happened with Phillip Schofield. Mean, she wasnt schofield. I mean, she wasnt responsible phillip did responsible for what phillip did whilst working. For itv. Whilst working. For itv. Meanwhile, shes had some serious issues in terms of her personal safety as well. And i just think that, you know, i think youve gone too far there, kim and ijust, think youve gone too far there, kim and i just, you know, think youve gone too far there, kim and ijust, you know, id like to apologise for my viewers for what youve said using the b word about Holly Willoughby. You can be a fan of hers or not, but i dont think that language is right. I theyve me right. I think theyve cut me off to be true. Off if you want me to be true. Okay okay. Kim, kim, listen, listen. Lets regroup and we will on another occasion. Will speak on another occasion. This all opinions. This show is all about opinions. Whats yours, mark . At gb news. Com. Listen, you know that news. Com. Listen, you know that anything goes on this show. Have you ever seen me censor somebody . I cant stand that gb news is the home of free speech, but i just think kim went too far there. I think it was abusive language. Its a swear word. And. And what is holly word. And. And what is Holly Willoughbys great crime . You know, shes shes a tv host. She does what i do. She reads an autocue. I mean , i write my own autocue. I mean, i write my own material. But listen , you know, material. But listen, you know, the bottom line is that she entertains millions of people. Entertains millions of people. Shes got a successful business, a lifestyle business that she runs, and shes got a partnership with m s, the woman is popular and im quite shocked that on my show shes been described in that way with with the b word. And im im not the b word. And im im not having it. However, kim will return because nobody gets cancelled not on my watch. But i will ask her not to abuse people in a gratuitous way next time shes on. But we will kiss and make up because kim and i have a special relationship now coming up in mark meets the extraordinary story of the woman who suffers from a rare condition that turns her into a statue. An affliction also suffered by pop singer celine dion. Its an extraordinary story. And thats theres help for households. Are you over state pension age . If your weekly income is below £201. 05, or £306. 85 if you live with a partner, you could be eligible for pension credit, even if you own your home or have savings. Its worth, on average, £3,500 a year, and you could get help with heating bills and more, plus cost of living payments. N ext next coming up in my take at ten. A lloyds bank boss has condemned the Prime Minister for pointing out theres a difference between a man and a woman. Britains corporations are now institutionally woke. Well deal with that at 10 00. But first, mark meets. Can we get through mark meets. Can we get through the next ten minutes without fruity language . It is time for fruity language . It is time for mark meets. And this evening, a very courageous woman who suffers from a rare condition that has in common the that she has in common with the singer celine dion. Karen long suffers from stiff person syndrome or sps , and has lived syndrome or sps, and has lived with the symptoms for the past 12 years. She can no longer cross the road over fears that she could quite literally turn into a human statue as her excruciating spasms cause her muscles to lock into place, causing her to fall over. She has demonstrated , demonstrated has demonstrated, demonstrated extraordinary courage in speaking out about this and im delighted to say that she joins me now. Karen, thank you so much for coming on. Mark dolan tonight. Power to you for tonight. More power to you for sharing your story. Im so sorry to hear of what youve been going through. What were your first symptoms at start of first symptoms at the start of this . When did you notice that something was wrong. Something was wrong. Good evening, mark. I think at first it was i started to fall. I was a little bit unsteady on my feet. It was told unsteady on my feet. It was told that it was anxiety. Its all in that it was anxiety. Its all in my head. And id had mri scans. My head. And id had mri scans. I had back scans , but nothing i had back scans, but nothing ever came up. And what ever came up. And what activities that most of us take for granted. Are you now unable able to do . Karen put a sock. On the do . Karen put a sock. On the basics . Basics . Yeah, the basics. People people dont realise its very difficult at that. I can close difficult at that. I can close my eyes and walk around my home without. Knowing where im my eyes and walk around my home without. Knowing where im going because i have to understand where im going. Because youre not. Be away from a sign from , not. Be away from a sign from, um. A door or a sign or anything like that. Like that. If your body does freeze. Karen how long before you get movement again . Movement again . It really depends on if i fall , then when i fall , its fall, then when i fall, its quite its normally a trip to any. If not, i have to wait a good 30 40 minutes for the body to say actually, karen, thats okay. You can take another step and you literally sort of freeze like a statue. Thats language that you youve used yourself to describe it 100. Ive had one today. I was ive got a new assistant pup and ive got a new assistant pup and i was walking today with my walker and i just had a moment. And you just literally when you stop , there is nothing you can stop, there is nothing you can do. Your body freezes completely i karen, do we know what triggers this disease or how it works . Works . Its a neurological disease , its a neurological disease, so it causes progressive muscle stiffness , painful spasms. There stiffness, painful spasms. There are triggers like traffic noise. So if someone beeped a horn whilst i was walking past, i would fall because i dont. Yeah so sorry. Sorry to interrupt you. Apologies. Karen the lines not the best. But how. How many people do you think have this condition in the uk or around the world . How rare is it . I mean, weve mentioned celine dion, celine dion suffers from it. But. But how common is this illness . Its 1 in 1,000,000. Illness . Its 1 in 1,000,000. And ive. Ive now been having treatment now for eight years. So i go into hospital every four weeks an and i get flooded with somebody elses antibodies , which means they antibodies, which means they fight mine because my antibodies fight mine because my antibodies fight my neurological system. So it means that all my antibodies is have Something Else to fight rather than me. Rather than me. Karen, do you have much support . Do you have a partner . Support . Do you have a partner . Yeah, i do have a partner. I have a we dont live together, but i do have a partner and we have a carer and ive now just got an assistants dog, which is great. Well ish because its a pup great. Well ish because its a pup. Hence i probably look a bit pup. Hence i probably look a bit tired just saying. Um but no, ive got my friends. Its very ive got my friends. Its very difficult because when you look normal , difficult because when you look normal, people assume youre well. But there are things well. But there are things i cant do. There are things i dont want to do. I dont want to cross the road. I dont want to cross the road. I dont want to cross the road. I dont want to cross an open space. And when it comes to celine , when it it comes to celine, when it comes to the spasms in body comes to the spasms in your body , they they are horrific. Yeah. , they they are horrific. Yeah. And you do look well. You look absolutely fabulous on a saturday night. And im delighted that youve got your partner for support. And also this dog as well. Whats whats the pup called . The pup called . Orla. Orla. Orla. Right. Orla. Right. Lovely orla. Right. Lovely irish name. I approve. And whats the idea of having orla . How is she going to help you . Once she once she grows up a bit . Number one, its companion ship because its quite an isolated disease because people will go. Its very difficult because i would love to go and see all my friends every saturday night or every friday night. But if saturday night or every friday night. But if you make plans , night. But if you make plans, you cant do it. So having her and then i can help her train to help me do things like empty the washing machine, open the fridge freezer because there are things i cant do which i want to do, and i will try to do , but i and i will try to do, but i cant. Cant. And karen, what has this done to your Mental Health . How do you get through every day. You get through every day. Meds . Meds . Meds . Its really so you need you need that you need that medication in. I have to have medication every day. Um my friends , my every day. Um my friends, my true friends are really understanding that when i say they try to plan something, ill 9 they try to plan something, ill go, yeah , ill come. Yeah, yeah, go, yeah, ill come. Yeah, yeah, im up for it. Yeah yeah. Great no, i know. I wont. Because by no, i know. I wont. Because by the time it happens, im never going to do it. So listen, karen, i know you dont want to be seen as a victim. You dont want this illness to define you, and it absolutely shouldnt. But what can my viewers and listeners do to help . The biggest thing anyone could possibly do, and i recently went to the reading re opening of the Plasma Centre and it was absolutely amazing to see normal people just going, donating blood, donating plasma, because for me, every four weeks i go in and have of all of this treatment without these selfless people , i would exist and people, i would exist and wouldnt have a life. Well im delighted you do exist. Youre an amazing lady and privileged to have you on the show. I know that my viewers and listeners will be wishing you well, i do hope we speak well, and i do hope we speak again soon. Mark. Take care. Thank you, mark. Take care. Thank you. Karen long well, there you go. Give blood. Give blood. Go. Give blood. I give blood. Did its really healthy did you know its really healthy to give blood . Its actually good apparently. To give blood . Its actually goo a apparently. To give blood . Its actually gooa doctor. Apparently. To give blood . Its actually gooa doctor. I \pparently. To give blood . Its actually gooa doctor. I mean, ltly. To give blood . Its actually gooa doctor. I mean, im not a doctor. I mean, im wearing a doctors jacket, but it quite healthy it is apparently quite healthy and to do. And a great thing to do. Fascinating look, fascinating stuff. Look, lots more come in the 10 00 hour. More to come in the 10 00 hour. Tomorrows papers hot off the press, plus my take at 10 00, which, let me away. Its 10 00 away. Its10 00 on away. Its 10 00 on television, away. Its 10 00 on television, on radio and online in the United Kingdom and across the world. This is mark dolan tonight, where, as you might have discovered in the last few minutes, we dont do boring. In my take, a ten lloyds bank boss has condemned the Prime Minister for pointing out theres a difference between and difference between a man and a woman. Britains corporate actions are institutionally actions are now institutionally woke what utter bankers is the king and Princes William and harry call Hamas Terrorists . Why cant the bbc . And is joe biden fit to handle this International Crisis . So ill be asking the crisis . So ill be asking the queen of us royal showbiz and political reporting , kinsey political reporting, Kinsey Schofield. Plus, tomorrows schofield. Plus, tomorrows papers live from the studio with reaction from my pundits this evening. So a packed show, lots evening. So a packed show, lots to get through. But first, here to get through. But first, here is the news with Aaron Armstrong i hi there. Very good evening to you. Its at 10 00. Im Aaron Armstrong in the newsroom. Israels Prime Minister has warned the next stage in their warned the next stage in their war against hamas is coming. War against hamas is coming. Benjamin netanyahu visited troops stationed on the frontline near the gaza strip. Earlier, hundreds of thousands of reservists have been mobilised. Israels military says its preparing to attack by land , sea and air in what they land, sea and air in what they say will be a comprehensive, coordinated offensive. Forces have been deployed throughout the country as israel prepares for significant ground operations. Mr netanyahu has previously pledged to wipe hamas from the face of the earth. His from the face of the earth. His administration has also warned hezbollah, the armed group based in lebanon, not to intervene , in lebanon, not to intervene, and that doing so would risk the destruction of lebanon. A destruction of lebanon. A deadune destruction of lebanon. A deadline given for the evacuation of civilians from northern gaza has now expired. Thousands of people have been fleeing south towards the rafah Border Crossing with egypt, the only route out of gaza not under israeli control has been closed because of airstrikes. Although because of airstrikes. Although the us has been trying to negotiate a five hour window to allow civilians out of the blockaded enclave and humanitarian aid. In a young british girl whos trapped in gaza says she fears for her life i im like, really in fear. Im like, really in fear. And im like, really in fear. And like every every time i just have to have the thought of me dying in a bomb in gaza like its not a good thing. And like its not a good thing. And like every place i go , i go run away every place i go, i go run away and i just find bombs and i find dead people and, like , maybe one dead people and, like, maybe one day ill end up like them. But day ill end up like them. But its a really scary thing for me i well, tens of thousands of people gathered for pro palestinian demonstrations across the uk today as the conflict in gaza escalates. More conflict in gaza escalates. More than 1000 officers were deployed in london. Police saying anyone showing support for hamas may face arrest in the end. Seven people were detained. People were detained. Demonstrators carried flags and flares and chanted pro palestinian slogans urging World Leaders to condemn israels actions. Israels actions. You know whats happened in israel is tragic. But whats israel is tragic. But whats happening in gaza now is beyond description. I think it shows the depth of feeling of the british public. There are people from absolutely every every type of skin colour or creed. You know, political persuasion. Its know, political persuasion. Its amazing. Amazing. And qatari banker Sheikh Yassin has withdrawn from the process to buy Manchester United the billionaires offer of around £5 billion was for 100 of the club and hed pledged to further fund Infrastructure Projects and also to clear debt. It leaves the british businessman , sirJim Ratcliffe, businessman, sir Jim Ratcliffe, as the only other declared bidder, and hes understood to be working on a 25 stake, which would see the american glazer family retain majority control of the club. Well have across of the club. Well have across the uk on tv, on digital radio. And if you want us on your smart speaken and if you want us on your smart speaker, just say play gb news. Thats it for the moment. Now back to. Mark back to. Mark great to have you with us tonight, aaron. Aaron armstrong returns at 11 00. Its mark dolan tonight. Political commentator lin mei, writer Benedict Spence and academic lisa mckenzie. And academic lisa mckenzie. Plus, theyll be nominating their headline heroes and back page zeroes of the day. Let me just before we do the take at ten, just pause for a moment and say that a few minutes ago i had one of the most extraordinary on air of career air experiences of my career with the channel 4 star from how clean is your house . Kim woodburn. We were discussing Holly Willoughbys departure from morning. Kims been on from this morning. Kims been on the show many times. Shes a fiery character. Shes fiery character. Shes unpredictable, and shes entitled to her view. However she used an expletive about about Holly Willoughby. It was the b word, a female dog. If you want to know the detail. And at first i was shocked, she repeated the word several times and i thought she crossed a line. I believe in free speech. And this is the home of diverse opinion on mark dolan tonight. Right. But i just feel she went too far and i will allow you to be judge and jury and thats via your email. So just before the take at 10 00, here is the response from the Great British pubuc response from the Great British public to what have seen public to what you may have seen or heard. Letitia lovely italian or heard. Letitia lovely italian name. Hi, letitia. Letitia says, mark, get this woman off your show. Shes embarrassing. She makes my toes curl. How can she sit there and use such dreadful language about Holly Willoughby , language about Holly Willoughby, or anyone for that matter . Linda or anyone for that matter . Linda says, mark, you say that you agree with free speech manifest. Agree with free speech manifest. Sally you dont. If kim wants to describe someone as a bad b word, she can. Youre becoming a wet, says linda. Elizabeth says wet, says linda. Elizabeth says mark, good on you for asking kim woodburn to go for using rude language. Probably not a good idea to have her on if she cant discuss a subject in a calm and rational way. Im not keen on holly, but abusing her is wrong. And just two more before the take at ten. Hi mark says andrew. Andrews not happy with me. Youve just given in to the me. Youve just given in to the woke. Kim was absolutely right woke. Kim was absolutely right to willie horribly to call willie horribly a complete b word. And last but complete b word. And last but not least, john says , look, i not least, john says, look, i dont like Holly Willoughby , but dont like Holly Willoughby, but i think kim went too far. We need to remember her Mental Health with everything which has come to light over the past few weeks. And we all need to beware of what we say. Well, look, thank for your opinions. Thank you for your opinions. Thatis thank you for your opinions. That is all that to me. Thank you for your opinions. That them that to me. Thank you for your opinions. That them coming. To me. Thank you for your opinions. That them coming. Mark me. Keep them coming. Mark gbnews. Com. We dont do boring. Gbnews. Com. We dont do boring. Not on my watch. I just wont have it. So a busy hour to come. Lets start with my take. At lets start with my take. At ten. What a time to be alive. We live in an era where facts , the live in an era where facts, the truth, reality are controversial and will get you cancel old enter stage left the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom whos got himself in trouble with lloyds bank. Clearly the black horse of the banking family. Why is he in trouble for saying this . Saying this . A man is a man and a woman is a woman. Thats just common sense. Its absolute heresy. May the angels of the lord strike him down. But there was worse to come. Strap yourselves in for more dangerous facts. A trade dangerous facts. A trade minister, Kemi Badenoch , said minister, Kemi Badenoch, said she would not apologise for fighting for a society that knows what a woman is. Outrageous. Outrageous. Outrageous. Send her to the gulag now. Send her to the gulag now. And what about that outrageous bigot . Health secretary Steve Barclay , who has pledged to keep barclay, who has pledged to keep biological men out of single sex female wards on the grounds of womens safety . What a heathen. 50 lashes for this non believer. 50 lashes for this non believer. For now, the excellent guido fawkes political website have unearthed correspondence from the Human Resources director at lloyds bank who declares her pronouns. Of course she does. In pronouns. Of course she does. In an email sent to 30,000 members of staff. And heres what she said. Dear role. Like many of you, i was appalled to hear the rhetoric coming from the conservative Party Conference this week targeting the trans and non binary. This week targeting the trans and non binary. Community and non binary. Community outrageous. The Prime Minister targeting delegates with information about human beings , information about human beings, information about human beings, information that we learned dunng information that we learned during gcse biology. In the email she goes on hearing language that fuels hate and division. Is shocking. There you division. Is shocking. There you go. Shes played the hate card. This is woke bingo. No hate. This is woke bingo. No hate. Sounds bad , doesnt it . But all sounds bad, doesnt it . But all too often these days, its shorthand for people saying things often truthful or factual, that the woke cult do not want to hear. Its often not hate. They just hate the message. She goes on. Im aware of the brilliant work undertaken in the last few days by our Trans Working Group and their allies to mobilise support offering safe spaces for colleagues. Shes absolutely right. Weve got to be safe from reality of human biology. Facts kill folks and what are these safe spaces exactly . Do they have tennis tables, table tennis tables, i should say . Do they have beanbags . Have they got nespresso machines . No. Safe spaces are ideological bubbles divorced from reality where this nonsense goes unchallenged. None nonsense goes unchallenged. None of this woke rubbish stands up to scrutiny. Now, look, if you transition and ive got friends that have good luck to you, dignity, respect and support are paramount. Dignity, respect and support are paramount. But why all of this politics from the Senior Management of a bank whose job it is to provide mortgages and bank loans, be clear, this stuff isnt just misguided bank loans, be clear, this stuff isntjust misguided. It can be isnt just misguided. It can be dangerous because it sells the fiction that a biological man is now a woman and vice versa. The real world consequence is, is that women, you know , the old that women, you know, the old school ones with wombs losing their hard fought sex based rights, female only changing rooms, bathrooms, Domestic Abuse and rape crisis centres. And is and rape crisis centres. And is it too much to ask for female only prisons and then theres the small matter of the integrity of womens sport. The small matter of the integrity of womens sport. And this week, two trans gender cyclists who biological males identifying as female have taken the top spots on the podium at the top spots on the podium at the chicago cyclo cross cup after triumphing in a womens race. And this is progress. Is it biological men usually still rocking the full meat and two veg breaking every record in womens competition. Thats why ipush womens competition. Thats why i push back on this nonsense. The realities of human biology. The realities of human biology. We are the last hill to die on. If you accept that women can have penises and testicles, you can only imagine what theyll ask us to believe next. The last word goes to rishi sunak. Word goes to rishi sunak. Patients should know when hospitals are talking about men or women, and we shouldnt get bullied into believing that people can be any sex they want to be. They cant. To be. They cant. And that is what this is all about. It. He got it. Bullying wokeism is a cult and you must follow the rules. The religious follow the rules. Now its worth pointing out that trans people are some of the most marginalised and abused in our society. Lloyds bank could argue society. Lloyds bank could argue that what theyre trying to do is be inclusive to their workforce in an ever changing world. Weve reached out to lloyds bank and we are yet to receive a reply. Im sure theyve got their reasons for doing this, but im just worried about the can of worms that it opens. But let me know your thoughts by email. Reaction now thoughts by email. Reaction now from my top pundits. Political commentator lin mei, writer Benedict Spence and academic lisa mckenzie. Lisa, can i start lisa mckenzie. Lisa, can i start with you . What do you make of this email to 30,000 staff . I am extremely cynical about this sort of constant flag waving, constant sort of agreeing with one thing or all this sort of hate stuff. Hate stuff. And the reason im really, really cynical, its probably different from, you because when youve got banks and sort of multinational corporates , you multinational corporates, you know, the sort of measures of capitalism , im using this idea capitalism, im using this idea of diversity, it means they dont ever have to think about equality. So what they can do is equality. So what they can do is say, look what great people we are. Were auntie, you know, we believe in black lives matter. We believe in trans lives matter. We believe in, you know , matter. We believe in, you know, any thing in any other amount of thing in fact, they can believe in everything. But that makes them a good were god. Were the good guys. When actually what theyre not doing is dealing with any sort of inequality at all. So anything thing that does this , i anything thing that does this, i am highly, highly cynical of it. Okay. What do you make of this development, benedict . I think its characteristic of the corporate world now, which is institutionally woke. I think we need to remember that banks exist to make money and this is the same for all of these industries. You see it these industries. You see it with the football a lot as well. And i think that thats partly actually why weve had this furore over lighting up wembley or or holding up the israeli flag because its not a decision thats based on morality. Its based on which will make us the most why most money. Its also why i think rather cynically, all of the clubs waited until the football clubs waited until palestinians being palestinians started being killed by the israelis then killed by the israelis to then put out statements saying its bad that people are dying in general. Just it general. They didnt just do it when israeli when it happened to israeli civilians. Very cynically civilians. They very cynically waited. Yes, i, i waited. And again, yes, i, i agree. This is actually its cynical. Its about appealing to a set of the population to say were good people. You can trust us. You can work with us. Its not actually about making peoples lives better. Its about enticing in customers. If there was no to money made there was no to money be made from at some point from this, and at some point there not be money be there will not be money to be made from this, i suspect that pubuc made from this, i suspect that Public Opinion will change. At which stop seeing Public Opinion will change. At which saying stop seeing Public Opinion will change. At which saying slike, eeing Public Opinion will change. At which saying slike, were them saying things like, were inclusive were lgbtq. Inclusive and were were lgbtq. Plus friendly because it will no longer be profitable. And thats always how you have to look at this. Well, its about money. Mei im sure the lin mei im sure that the director hr at lloyds bank is director of hr at lloyds bank is a this shouldnt, a decent person. This shouldnt, shouldnt be a case of, you know, playing the man or woman rather than ball. Perhaps rather than the ball. Perhaps all individual is trying to all this individual is trying to do is make members of staff who have changed their gender identity, feel comfortable and safe. Whats wrong with that . No , i pretty much echo the no, i pretty much echo the other two with regards to i think this is just a load of pr guff and if they were genuine with with these sorts of narratives, then they would be consistent with regards to some of their. Well wealthier clients who are from the middle east, who are from the middle east, who have publicly stated on numerous occasions they do not support lgbtq, they do not support lgbtq, they do not support transgender , they dont support transgender, they dont support transgender, they dont support any of these things. Are they going to close their accounts . No they wont. Are they going to say, no, we do not accept money you because accept money from you because you yourself with you do not align yourself with the no. Its for okay the lgbt . No. So its for okay them and its the same with corporations that make vast amounts of money when they go to the middle east. Like when we saw football in qatar, there were no flags then. How convenient. So im just a bit convenient. So im just a bit and im just so happy. Im not happy with the conservative party for a number of things. However, theyve got this right. A man is a man and a woman is a woman. Want to go and woman. A 35 year old veteran male. Im sure youre a male. I dont need to see the proof. Listen, lots of other stories to get through. Can i just talk to you for a moment about what weve seen in london . Oh, great news. Well, i was going to come to that. We will come to that dunng to that. We will come to that during the papers. I wanted to discuss with you whether or not its right that people waving the hamas a the hamas flag, hamas being a Terror Organisation , should face Terror Organisation, should face criminal prosecution. Well get to shortly with the papers. To that shortly with the papers. But time now for us news but its time now for us news with queen of american with the queen of american showbiz and political showbiz royal and political reporter and, reporter Kinsey Schofield. And, kinsey, we had a kinsey, im so sorry we had a bit trouble with line bit of trouble with the line there. It will be a shorter chat than usual, which is terribly cruel. About the cruel. But lets talk about the royal familys response to what has happened in israel and they sound very united. Yeah i mean, i think when it comes to the royal family terrorism hits close to home for the king he experienced the grief of losing his mentor to terrorism after the bombing that took earl mountbatten , the ira claimed mountbatten, the ira claimed responsibility that in 1979. Responsibility for that in 1979. That devastated the king. His grandmother on his fathers side is buried in israel and was celebrated for hiding a jewish family in her home in athens dunng family in her home in athens during the occupation. So i do believe that the king has always cared deeply for the Jewish Community, and this is the worst act of anti semitic violence since since the holocaust. And then with the prince and princess of wales, a statement that seemed especially courageous , the line, the courageous, the line, the horrors inflicted by hamas as terrorist attack upon israel are appalling. They utterly condemn them. Those are there clearly drawing the line in the sand there and potentially creating enemies in the process. And i applaud their bravery. Applaud their bravery. I agree. I really think that the prince and princess of wales have been particularly courageous , particularly courageous, particularly principled. The king has been brilliant. And let me also congratulate harry and meghan brilliant. And let me also conan tulate harry and meghan brilliant. And let me also conan unarmed rry and meghan brilliant. And let me also conan unarmed ,y and meghan brilliant. And let me also conan unarmed , ambiguousian brilliant. And let me also conan unarmed , ambiguous email for an unarmed, ambiguous email in support of innocent Israeli Citizens. Well done, harry. Well citizens. Well done, harry. Well done, meghan. Lets have more of done, meghan. Lets have more of that. Done, meghan. Lets have more of that. Can we done, meghan. Lets have more of that. Can we talk about the commander in chief, the most powerful man in the world, the president of the United States, joe biden. And whats his reaction been to the horror and the tragedy of whats happened in israel . Is, the tragedy of whats happened in israel . Is, is the tragedy of whats happened in israel . Is, is america in israel . Is, is america reeling from this attack . Reeling from this attack . I just i feel like we there is some guilt, if im being honest with you, associated with all of this , mark, because we all of this, mark, because we have seen this recent poll come out by jl partners that asked a thousand americans for their views on whats happening 43 of those individuals said that it was a mistake for to us unfreeze that 6 billion of iranian funds. And so i do think that it was only 29 that agreed that it was only 29 that agreed that that money should have been exchanged. 28 said that they didnt know. But for the most didnt know. But for the most part, i think that americans feel a sense of guilt because it does feel like hamas is sponsored by iran. And, you sponsored by iran. And, you know, you were talking about the bbc, you know, and how they refuse to call these guys terrorists. We do have a cable terrorists. We do have a cable news outlet here, msnbc , that news outlet here, msnbc, that has shown some sympathy towards palestine and hamas. There numbers have declined 33, 33 mark, 33 in comparison with fox news has been, you know, explicitly clear on the brutalities of hamas, up 42 in total viewership. So you do see people punishing some of these these outlets, these news outlets that are refusing to acknowledge how hateful this experience is. Well, listen , this program well, listen, this program has no trouble saying that hamas are a terror group. What happened to innocent Israeli Citizens on the 7th of october was appalling and reprehensible. And israel has a full right to defend herself there. It wasnt that hard, was it . Listen, the clock is against us, kinsey. But lets talk about one of the most famous world. The famous men in the world. The actor will smith. Whats going on . Well, his his wife or his what is she now . Because shes just admitted Jada Pinkett Smith has admitted that theyve been secretly separated for seven years. Mark, she , of course, years. Mark, she, of course, trying to hawk a book. You and i covered, will smith , the covered, will smith, the infamous lap at the oscars. We couldnt believe it. This was a man that has fallen from grace all, you know, an attempt at chivalry. And we find out, chivalry. And we find out, thanks to jadas media tour, that theyve been separated for seven years. Theyve both seen other people, she says, to your was her soul mate. Were literally watching the unravelling of a dynasty before our eyes. And a lot of us feel lied to you. Indeed. So very complicated. Its more complicated than my love life. Last but not least briefly, if you can, kinsey , briefly, if you can, kinsey, king charles. Yeah, he looks like hes seen a ghost. Like hes seen a ghost. Yeah. Now, this is coming from paranormal historian richard felix. He said that the king was once haunted in the sandringham library. Him in a footman were falling , followed footman were falling, followed around by a ghost. This is an a new hello podcast episode. He also says that there is a there there is a i believe its a monk that haunts Buckingham Palace. He that Buckingham Palace was built on a site that belonged to the monks of Westminster Abbey and you know, that very well might be why the refuses to might be why the king refuses to live there. Mark listen, ill tell you well, listen, ill tell you something. Its a scary story to finish on kinsey , youll know finish on kinsey, youll know ghost. Well catch up next week. My thanks to the brilliant Kinsey Schofield and she returns. Do check out her brilliant podcast and websites to die for daily. Coming up, weve got the papers , so dont weve got the papers, so dont go anywhere radio. Okay. Its 1030 on time. Producer greg will be happy. Great to have greg back. By the great to have greg back. By the way, hes been away for a few weeks, but he returns our brilliant producer and look a lot to get through. And ive got to say, im deeply shocked by the front page story of the mail. Its a shocking splash. Its relation to those its in relation to those pro palestinian demonstrations in london today with a number of individuals brandishing an image of the paraglider who entered Israeli Space in order to kill all 260 people at a Music Festival in cold blood. These people are in london, in our country, in our capital city, celebrating an act of terror, an act of carnage. Take a look at this. You see ghouls is the this. You see ghouls is the headune. This. You see ghouls is the headline. Hatred on britains headline. Hatred on britains streets. Two women are among the streets. Two women are among the thousands on yesterdays pro palestine march in london, brazenly revelling in the massacre of dozens of young israelis by paragliding Hamas Terrorists. So why didnt the police stop them now, of course, it says yesterday thats tomorrows papers. That was earlier today. So its two women who are on this march wearing an image of someone paragliding to conduct murder. Absolutely conduct murder. Absolutely shocking story in the mail. We need to debate whether or not people who celebrate terrorism should be dealt with by the law. Should be dealt with by the law. The sunday express now bad day to be prince of wales as rugby dream ends. Also, holly dream ends. Also, Holly Willoughby linked to hit show for quick tv comeback. A bit of light and shade, think light and shade, which i think we saturday night. We need on a saturday night. Lets from my lets get reaction now from my brilliant political brilliant pundits, political commentator writer commentator lin mei, writer Benedict Spence and academic Lisa Mackenzie and benedict, just a very , very appropriate just a very, very appropriate headune just a very, very appropriate headline in the mail, you ghouls to individuals at this pro palestinian march. Bring brandishing an image of a paraglider who murdered 260 people. Yeah. I mean its two people among potentially 100,000. But these are not the only examples of people behaving in an appalling way throughout the protests that we saw in london. And of course, there were also protests elsewhere. And i mean, its a particular plea, particularly grotesque thing given given , of course, the given given, of course, the nature of what happened. But also in terms of, you know, if you were to try and do an alternative, say, on the right, if you had a right wing group of people making jokes about, i dont know, pinochet throwing people making jokes about, i dont k out, pinochet throwing people making jokes about, i dont k out, pihelicopters, ving people out of helicopters, people out of helicopters, people be furious people would rightly be furious and would be no tolerance people would rightly be furious anthis would be no tolerance people would rightly be furious anthis sort ould be no tolerance people would rightly be furious anthis sort of ld be no tolerance people would rightly be furious anthis sort of thing no tolerance of this sort of thing whatsoever. But perhaps is whatsoever. But perhaps this is just the radar whatsoever. But perhaps this is just its the radar whatsoever. But perhaps this is just its so the radar whatsoever. But perhaps this is just its so recent. Radar whatsoever. But perhaps this is just its so recent. But|r whatsoever. But perhaps this is just its so recent. But to because its so recent. But to see the scale of how what was ostensibly meant to be a pro palestine march, which, you know, you can debate the sensitivity of that, given the timing all you want, the fact that that descended in great swathes into antisemitisme anti semitic chants, people shouting out about zionists posters of missing jewish children that were plastered all across london, being ripped down by people. It happened again on the march today. It by people. It happened again on the march today. It is disgraceful that in a country that bases so much of its modern identity around the aftermath of the second world war, the horrors of the holocaust and the lessons that we were supposed to learn from that never again specifically about the jewish people that actually this can be tolerated from even a small minority. And, you know, i think minority. And, you know, i think a people have been trying minority. And, you know, i think a push people have been trying minority. And, you know, i think a push the ple have been trying minority. And, you know, i think a push the ideaiave been trying minority. And, you know, i think a push the idea this been trying minority. And, you know, i think a push the idea this weektrying minority. And, you know, i think a push the idea this week that; to push the idea this week that this is an example of this backlash is an example of how has failed how multiculturalism has failed in thats in britain. And actually, thats not the best example of not true. The best example of how multiculturalism has worked in places can is in some places and can work is britains community. We britains Jewish Community. We have how well have seen actually how well ingratiated well ingratiated and how well embedded it is british embedded it is into british society. Are the example of society. They are the example of how it is that different ethnic groups that come over and try to live their lives should be embraced and do manage to embraced and do manage to embrace themselves. So why it is that targeted above all that they are targeted above all else the manner that they else in the manner that they have. Disgraceful. Else in the manner that they hav now, disgraceful. Else in the manner that they hav now, two graceful. Else in the manner that they hav now, two weeks l. Else in the manner that they hav now, two weeks ago, ive got now, two weeks ago, ive got no problem with this pro palestinian march. Lisa, too. Months from now, no problem either. And i think that either. And i think that benedicts right to use that word. Timing. Yeah i know that those on the march today predominantly peaceful , those on the march today predominantly peaceful, probably would like to see a two state solution. And there probably worried as am i about palestine and civilians. But i dont think that seven days after what happenedin that seven days after what happened in israel , they should happened in israel, they should have been marching. Mean, i think that they i mean, i think that they should march. I think people should march. I think people should march. I think people should march if they feel strongly about something, then you do the streets. I you do go on the streets. I think right place to think thats the right place to be. My problem with it was the sort of mass flying of thousands and thousands of palestine flags. I am not a nationalist. I dont think nationalist does anybody any good. I dont think nationalism has ever been a cause to sort of release the working class from their chains. So therefore, for me, the flying of the flag was i thought was insensitive of batus it happened on the day of the atrocities. Yeah because just seven days ago, those flags were being fly. Today was being flown today, were flown last week as a terrorist group was killing people. Innocent people. I just people. Innocent people. I just think you can show your support for palestine. You can show your support for oppressed people. Support for oppressed people. You dont really need to take it to this level. Indeed. Lynn, whats your indeed. Lynn, whats your view of and that is the front page of the mail, if youre just joining us, you ghouls, two individuals brandishing an image of the paraglider who murdered 260 people. All should should those people have a right to free speech or ought they to be dealt with by the law . I think its horrific that theyre almost celebrating what happened to the civilians in israel , but i happened to the civilians in israel, but i think its equally disgusting for, you know, people who support israel that says, you know, there are going to be casualties, irrespective of whether thousands are going to die in gaza. They have a right die in gaza. They have a right to defend themselves. I think its kind of one sided with regards to a lot of the press at the moment. I regards to a lot of the press at the moment. I think need to the moment. I think we need to look at the civilians on both sides because as we know, even with our own government, governments just do what they want. Ignore want. Sometimes they ignore their electorate, they ignore people. Can see that with people. We can see that with covid. We can see that with multiple and were multiple things and were fearful. Even with fearful of that. Even with going, joining, rejoining the eu. I think we need people power. People power is under threat, isnt . Isnt it . Exactly. Need to separate exactly. We need to separate the civilians , the the palestinian civilians, the israeli civilians from the governments that just want to power grab. And thats my frustration with this conversation. I think its okay for people to go out and peacefully march and show solidarity with the flag. A lot of ignorant people are conflating hamas and the hamas flag with the palestinian flag. Theyre completely different. And sadly, people on both sides , and sadly, people on both sides, innocent women, children , the innocent women, children, the disabled, the elderly are to going die because of these governments. Yes. Governments. Yes. So if you are brandishing this image, this illustration of the paraglide , who murdered 250 the paraglide, who murdered 250 people at a peace festival in israel on the border with gaza, would you arrest those people . Benedict yeah, no question. I mean, the law, the law would be on their side if they did, wouldnt okay, well, change the law. I think its disgraceful. I dont think you can celebrate terrorist actions. This is not the solidarity with the the same as solidarity with the palestinian. If you wave the same as solidarity with the p. Palestinian. If you wave the same as solidarity with the p. Palestinian flag,. If you wave the same as solidarity with the p. Palestinian flag, thatsnu wave the same as solidarity with the p. Palestinian flag, thats fine. Ve a palestinian flag, thats fine. Youre supporting the palestinian cause , but actually palestinian cause, but actually actively the actively celebrating the anti semitic terrorist murder of women and children. The rape, the hostage taking. Yeah i have no problem with arresting people for that because you are effectively endorsing terrorism. Effectively endorsing terrorism. Who do we decide . Who . Terrorists are . Im not going to terrorists. I no, i agree. I so you agree . I so you agree . I so you agree . I so you agree . I agree. I let me finish. I agree that theyre terrorists. However however, im not going to sit here and say the United States of america is terrorists or britains terrorists. Or britains terrorists. However, the United States of america have dropped the most bonds bombs in recent years, killing civilians. And the killing civilians. And the labour party endorsed the iraq war, killing hundreds of thousands of you know. But if i were to wear the labour party badge, should i be arrested because they killed a few people . Thats internationally recognised, wasnt legitimate. Recognised, wasnt legitimate. Its an internationally recognised government and hamas palestine. It is. It is. But hamas is not. But hamas is not. Im not supporting them in any way. Palestinian liberation the palestinian liberation organisation. There are lots of different who different groups that people who support palestine can nail there, the hands of there, but at the hands of picking, the one that is picking, picking the one that is effectively it is offshoot of effectively it is an offshoot of the muslim brotherhood. Is effectively it is an offshoot of the aiuslim brotherhood. Is effectively it is an offshoot of the a standalone erhood. Is effectively it is an offshoot of the a standalone group. Is effectively it is an offshoot of the a standalone group. It is; not a standalone group. It is internationally recognised as a military Wing Military provisional wing government. The editor of the jewish illegitimate one, the editor of the illegal terrorist is saying . Yes, is what youre saying . Oh, yes, thats the world the thats the way the world the editor of the jewish chronicle, unless mistaken , described unless im mistaken, described hamas worse than isis. Hamas as worse than isis. Well , i definitely hamas as worse than isis. Well, i definitely i hope and i agree that hamas needs to be rooted out. Rooted out. If you speak to palestinians on the ground, they dont even want them there. The last vote that they could even have election was 2006. They are an oppressed people. When people say, why havent they say, well, why havent they revolted, revolt revolted, you try and revolt when you live on aid, correct . Know, i, i for us, you know, i, i think for us, i think need to ask, you i think we need to ask, you know, why why would somebody do this . Know, is it is it the this . You know, is it is it the sort of have we completely dehumanised . Dehumanised people . When you say do this, you mean. Yes where the image of the paraglider. Yeah, i dont know why. I dont know. What is that even saying . Why would you even do know, unless you do that . You know, unless you know think . Know what i think . I think its i think its horrific. I think horrific horrific. I think its horrific and with it. But and i dont agree with it. But when speaking to a lot of Palestinian People , all Palestinian People, all thousands more have died. Aid in thousands more have died. Aid in palestine, i still dont know why israelis, but i still dont know why you would do this, though i still dont know why you do. You would do. Yes, yes. Yes, yes. Im sorry. Ive got no time for this. This is endorsing a terrorist their raison terrorist group. Their raison detre is not the liberation of palestine. Hamas as i said, theyre not the palestinian liberation organisation. They exist to kill jewish people. Thatis exist to kill jewish people. That is what is in their charter. That is what they say on their broadcast networks. Thatis on their broadcast networks. That is what this is. Know, leave. And here. You know, leave. And hundreds thousands people hundreds of thousands of people were to were forced at gunpoint to leave. Nobody anything. Leave. And nobody said anything. And want to through and if you want to go through the different across the different groups across the middle theyre all the. Middle east, theyre all the. Benedict, finish your point. Benedict, finish your point. Across the middle east, if you want to be the kurds, if you want it to be the kurds, if you want it to be the kurds, if you want be the armenians, you want it to be the armenians, you want it to be the armenians, you want to further. You want to want to go further. You want to talk uyghurs talk about the uyghurs or the rohingya yazidis. You rohingya or the yazidis. If you said isis worse than hamas, isis put those people and put those people in cages and set theyre all set fire to them. Theyre all going to the same circle of hell. The its hell. By the way, its irrelevant worse irrelevant to say who is worse than but the point is, than the west. But the point is, actually, is only issue. Actually, it is only this issue. It is the palestinian issue it is only the palestinian issue that none that gets raised. Its none of those other groups that ever gets do. Gets raised. They do. No, do not. Ive and no, they do not. Ive raised do not. Raised them. Do not. Tell you what, when was the i tell you what, when was the last it right . Does it make it right . Does it make it right . Matter. It doesnt matter. It doesnt matter. Thing. No, it thats the thing. No, it doesnt it it doesnt matter. Does it make it right international circles . Right in international circles . Matter now. It doesnt matter right now. The turkish government, the turkish ones turkish government are the ones that go and that are going to go out and theyre condemn whats theyre going to condemn whats happening raise happening in gaza. Do they raise objections . Does raise objections . Does anybody raise objections when it is the kurds still wrong . Wrong. Its still wrong. Its still wrong. Said that what is russia has said that what is going on in gaza is wrong, but they are bombing the ukrainians right is a right now. Every body is a hypocrite and it is only people in the west who see it through this oh, going, but what this lens of oh, going, but what about International Law . International about International Law . Inyou ational about International Law . Inyou go nal about International Law . Inyou go inl about International Law . Inyou go in and you arrest the if you go in and you arrest the people. Okay. Ordered these attacks. It doesnt matter. My thought on final are on this, my final thoughts are with many these with regards to many of these countries in the middle east, like have had sanctions. Israel has never had sanctions for breaking international explain. International law. Explain. Blockaded by israel is blockaded by countries are opposed to israel is blockaded by cohttries are opposed to israel is blockaded by cont has are opposed to israel is blockaded by cont has been are opposed to israel is blockaded by cont has been invaded sed to israel is blockaded by cont has been invaded three it. It has been invaded three times since its formation and its still had three its still never had three countries. Three, the three countries. The three, the three times been invaded every times it has been invaded every times it has been invaded every time hit back the time israel has hit back the countries that invaded it, at which point those countries have then want to then gone, oh, but we want to revert international revert to the international agreed borders that we had before because before we invaded because theyre encroaching on more land. Theres always encroaching on internationally recognised theres always encroaching on internatthat ly recognised theres always encroaching on internatthat israelygnised theres always encroaching on internatthat israel agreed borders that israel agreed to. The agreed to the only the west agreed to the only people that said were the people that said no were the palestinians. They keep losing, they because they they capitulate because they keep because they keep losing. I tell you what were going to do, greg, can we just keep this going . Lets take a quick break and well return to this conversation. Is break and well return to this contimingnn. Is break and well return to this contiming wrong is break and well return to this contiming wrong to is break and well return to this contiming wrong to have is the timing wrong to have a pro palestinian march 7th days after israel . Let after the carnage in israel . Let me your thoughts. Mark me know your thoughts. Mark gbnews. Com up next, weve gbnews. Com coming up next, weve got the newspaper and got the Sun Newspaper and a headune got the Sun Newspaper and a headline that one particular premier league star may not want to wake up to. Thats. N ext next okay. Amy has got the sun for us. Do you . Lets have a look. Us. Do you . Lets have a look. Here it comes. And its the front page. The sun on sunday, front page. The sun on sunday, girls told to sign order. Premier league ace secret sex party legal gag. A premier League Footballer hosted a secret sex party with models forced to sign legal gagging orders. Leaked video. Um, so orders. Leaked video. Um, so i was just very hard to read this because its a little bit fuzzy. They were told that they had to sign a document even though they were outrageous sex were part of this outrageous sex party. But these premier league stars dont just have a high libido. They have powerful lawyers as well. Madonna at the oh two, madge takes it neezy. There you go. The amazing madonna performing in a leg brace as we wish her a speedy recovery. There you go. Its one recovery. There you go. Its one of her less provocative outfits. Listen weve been debating at length this march, this pro palestinian march in the capital and also manchester and elsewhere. A week after elsewhere. A week after atrocities in israel , linda atrocities in israel, linda says, how is one side treated differently . One side is receiving more attention as the victims. Theyre all people who deserve a Peaceful Place to live. Everyone needs to swot up on history. And raymond says, i dont care if the israelis are army and hamas wipe each other out. Frankly, its innocent people who dont even want war, who end up getting killed. Thats what i hate about war because nobody wants war. It is politicians who make war. We cant disagree with that. Listen these two had a ding dong. Are you Team Benedict or you are you Team Benedict or team may . Team may . Im team people on im team people and i agree and i agree with her. I agree with what people are saying. I think when people are saying. I think when youre young, you get very fired up youre young, you get very fired p by youre young, you get very fired up by different issues and you can get very engaged in it. And i think when you get older and you have families and you start to understand that thin lifeline between life and death , i think between life and death, i think things take on a different look. What really worries me is all of this hate and all of this anger , this hate and all of this anger, where is it going . Theres nothing good going to come out of this. Correct indeed. So wise words. Indeed. So wise words. Listen, lets get to your headune listen, lets get to your headline here and back page zeros. Whos your hero of the day, lynn . My hero is conservative mp Crispin Blunt for reminding everyone that if we continuously only support israel in the way that weve been doing, they absolutely have a right to defend themselves. But im so happy that he brought out the fact of breaking international he the civilians. He that the prime he said that the Prime Minister, sunak, risks minister, rishi sunak, risks being , rooted for his being prosecuted, rooted for his support israel. The moment support of israel. At the moment , whats happening , yeah, because whats happening is away from this. Is were moving away from this. They have a right to defend themselves, which israel absolutely. But when the absolutely do. But when the politicians, especially like rishi and the defence secretary, are asked questions, okay, what about usage of like about the usage of like phosphorus . About you phosphorus . Or what about you know, no water, no electricity to gaza . Theyre kind of to the gaza . Theyre kind of skirting around it. They should absolutely any form of absolutely condemn any form of international breakage of law, but at the same time they can support and should support israel able to defend israel being able to defend themselves even though hamas are using weapon. Using civilians as a weapon. Yeah. How do they defend themselves if that happens . Yeah. How do they defend the well, es if that happens . Yeah. How do they defend the well, the that happens . Yeah. How do they defend the well, the thing happens . Yeah. How do they defend the well, the thing is, pens . Yeah. How do they defend the well, the thing is, the s . Well, the thing is, the headquarters of hamas, im told, is in the basement of hospital. But this this is my thing. But this this is my thing. Israel have so much support in terms of military , mossad and in terms of military, mossad and their intelligence are really, really some of the best in the world. They should be able to be able to pinpoint hamas. Okay. Instead of having thousands die and forcing people out, lets hope they die. I dont think war happens like that. Im not yet there. I would love to have more time, but were going to power through the day, through your hero of the day, benedict. My is benedict. I mean, my hero is somebody would normally somebody who i would normally not be very side with, and not be very on side with, and thats Scottish First minster. W minster. Yes, think humza yousaf yes, i think very moving. Has been i dont very moving. He has been i dont think of his politics. Think much of his politics. I dont really think much of him as a politician, but i think hes been really dignified hes been really quite dignified in handled in the way that hes handled both family being both members of his family being trapped with no way out. Trapped in gaza with no way out. But also the way he has, i but also the way that he has, i think attended the memorial think he attended the memorial of one people who was of one of the people who was murdered hamas , who an murdered by hamas, who was an israeli, person , and he israeli, a jewish person, and he went the Memorial Service and went to the Memorial Service and he embraced the family. And he said, your pain is my pain. And i hes been very at i think hes been very good at actually down rhetoric, actually toning down rhetoric, being measured and not being very measured and not letting his own conciliatory. Yes. I think bringing people together. Together. Think that he has i do think that he has handled very well. Handled everything very well. Must be. It must be. It must be. Lisa, briefly, youre hearing it must be. Movingefly, youre hearing it must be. Moving rightroure hearing it must be. Moving right away hearing it must be. Moving right away from ng it must be.
