Roadworks are set to cause disruption for Southend motorists in the coming days.
Vehicles will be unable to travel to Scarborough Drive from its junction with the busy London Road and Manchester Drive due to new gas connection works taking place.
Southend Council has confirmed the temporary closure is scheduled to be put into action from 8am on February 8, with the works expected to take until February 12.
Alternative routes will be put in place, although the improvements could result in a build-up of traffic.
New gas connections works will also take place in the same time period on Lord Roberts Avenue, Leigh.
