THREE friends all diagnosed with leukaemia have set up a support group for those battling the disease.
Kim Hannah, Ben Peters and Sarah Burkitt met because of cancer. Their Facebook group, called Our Journey & Awareness, was launched this month.
Kim, from Old Walcot, was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukaemia back in September 2019 after feeling unwell for a few weeks.
The 25-year-old mum said: “I kept going back and forth from doctors for them to say ‘you’re fine’. I had red pin-prick rashes all over my legs, to the point they were covered.
“I also had black or blue bruises appearing everywhere.”
