Freeport Mayor Jodi Miller reelected, promises to keep working on '20-year plan'

FREEPORT — Mayor Jodi Miller staved off a challenge in Tuesday's election by defeating Ronnie Bush.
Miller unofficially collected 1,819 votes accounting for 53% of the vote compared to 1,621 votes for Bush.
Reached late in the evening, Miller said:
"I am so grateful for the support that I received today and actually for the last four years. I've got a really great group of people who surround me, and I'm grateful for that.
"Freeport has had it challenges over the last four years, but I'm very proud of our accomplishments, and I look forward to being able to continue the long-term plans that the city has adopted."
