The Fresh Produce Association of the Americas worked via Zoom April 21-23 with panel discussions to address topics normally reserved for its spring conference.
FPAA, which is in Nogales, AZ, describes itself as “a powerful voice for improvement and sustainability, serving the needs of more than 100 North American companies involved in the growth, harvest, marketing, import, and distribution of Mexican produce.”
On April 21, the discussion focused on current government policies for Mexico and the U.S. and their relationship. On Earth Day, April 22, FPAA addressed Fair Trade and sustainability trends in transportation.
The Friday topic for FPAA was Trade Barriers; trade cases/actions reviewal. Lance Jungmeyer, FPAA president, who moderated all the sessions, said in advance that the trade barrier panel would be a produce industry nuts and bolts session.
