failing and trump on the rise. >> ainsley: poll showing trump beating biden. >> lawrence: 51% saying no way in hell i will vote for president biden. >> washington national zoo, fluffiest chinese ambassadors and now going home. >> does not need candid diplomacy anymore. how dicey it's become. >> steve: it is 8 closuring in new york city, start with a fox news alert. democrats secured full control of the virginia state legislature. >> brian: party maintaining their grip on state senate and flipping the house of delegates also. we have eye on the races in kentucky and mississippi. >> ainsley: that was a shock, they did have the house and lost both. peter doocy has the latest. virginia pretty shocking. >> peter: virginia governor glenn youngkin had been saying they could have 15-week abortion ban. voters did not flip the senate and lost the house of delegates, this is potentially lethal to the theory glenn youngkin could ride a wave as dark horse trump alternative inure 22. abortion was a big motivator in another state that has trended red, ohio. voters turned out to protect abortion and voted to legalize recreational pot. he was a backer of daniel cameron and according to chris christie, that is big part of the reason why he lost to andy beshear. >> look what we were up against, five super packs, my opponent's super pack, mr. mcconnell's super pack, rand paul super pack. the republican congress association, full of hate and division and you know what, we beat them all the same time. >> peter: one bright spot on the national map, mississippi governor tate reeves held off his democratic challenger. >> we all now know what it means in a state like mississippi when you stand up to the national liberals and stand up to joe biden. they threw everything they had at mississippi. 13 million dollars they threw at mississippi. mississippi did not behind. mississippi is not for sale. >> peter: the polls have been terrible, terrible for president biden. motivating for democrats to get out, including and maybe especially abortion. back to you. >> steve: reelection referendum like that are about the incumbent president, the democrats at dny and white house want to make 2024 not about joe biden, but about donald trump and about the republican party's embrace of abortion ban out of step with majority of americans, as we saw yesterday. >> peter: yes and democratic position on abortion is well established and yesterday it was more popular. republicans have to figure out if there is something to put forward specifically regarding abortion that has people upset and people have not voted their feelings on overturning of roe v. wade. that will continue happening, we've seen it basically in every election like this since the supreme court did it. >> brian: and the midterm last year. >> ainsley: when you live in a purple state like you do, every commercial on tv is about the abortion issue. >> peter: yeah and democrats spent a ton of money to get on the air. every commercial for the last couple weeks and republican candidate want to take away your right to an abortion. that is not exactly the position is, or glenn youngkin was, he was pushing a 15-week ban. this is worse than glenn youngkin and his team are making it sound like was possible. they were saying, we'll keep the house and we need to flip the senate. neither happen. it went the wrong way. >> brian: they were outspent everywhere. >> steve: and in talking to glenn youngkin and his team yesterday, they wanted to make it about the economy. obviously, about the economy. democrats were making it, to peter's point, all about abortion. >> ainsley: a lot depends on your age. we hear at diners, i only eat out or do errands one day. i was surprised. i thought 15 weeks were fair. some don't want you to mess with a woman's reproductive rights, other says after 15 weeks, the baby can feel pain. you had both arguments there. >> steve: people wanted no restrictions. >> brian: running an ad with 12-year-old girl saying i got pregnant from incest and daniel cameron would make me have the baby. another swaying, nine year old, daniel cameron would make me go through with it and no answer. >> ainsley: depends on your age. if you are married and you want to have babies. if your nine year old is pregnant, sorry, i'm not putting my daughter through that. >> brian: they have no answer in kentucky. >> ainsley: yeah. >> steve: look at numbers and everything else, lawrence jones joins us at the big wall and talking about the white house, clearly this could be harshen ger of what happens next year. >> lawrence: a lot of people upset about the verdict last night, there is some good news for republicans. on the map, people don't want rematch between donald trump and joe biden, looks like we are heading that way. 51% of voters say no way i would vote for joe biden. look at former president donald trump, 48% say they wouldn't vote for him. when it comes to a head to hadded match up, look who they are going for, 45% for president biden and 49% say they will vote for the former president. you have another 2% that say we will not vote at all, why does this matter? landscape of thing things, looks like the former president, it was about emotion and where we stand on the national stage. >> steve: if you just look at the candidates, it is like that. the question was about the candidate. if you put abortion into the issue and the economy and etcetera, you get different results. >> ainsley: what do you think republicans need to do with abortion messaging. >> lawrence: talk to the people, give and take on issues, majority of americans don't like the rape and incest thing. donald trump got pushback from the republican base that he wasn't strong enough and helped overturn roe v. wade with appointment of judges. looks like he's in the majority when it comes to majority of voters and not getting a ding with the poll. >> brian: cbs poll and cnn poll same. >> lawrence: "washington post." >> brian: we have a message problem, policy problem or a biden problem? i think there is a policy problem, number one thing is abortion. on the border, anyone think it is going well? glad crime rates are going up. fantastic, you will take our economy and green it to the point we can't do anything and pay more for oil and gas doesn't work. foreign policy, can you point to a success anywhere? if republicans have a lot going for them, they can solve one issue on the roe v. wade, i would think on pure policy, they could be really knocked out for the count in a year. see if it gets there. >> lawrence: what matters is the independent vote, talk about the split divide but everybody going for the independent vote. president biden will get 41% of independent voters, 45% of independent voters would vote for donald trump. that is new, he struggled with that in the past election. folks didn't like his tone or tenor, but it is going back to the issues right now. >> ainsley: it is. you hear from younger people worried about joe biden's age, is he going to be able to last for four years on the stage without continuing to fall and to be strong on policies. when he gives a speech, what is the word to describe it? he goes off. >> steve: word salad, he walks away, people are ready for a change and who is the alternative? donald trump. they see what is happening to donald trump in the courtroom and don't feel it is two-tiered justice. >> brian: especially the civil trial. i watch the channel sometimes to see what legal analysts say, they cannot pretend this is fair. younger voters and political independents, black voters 73-23, only eight for trump last time. latino vote, trump within four now and women divide, 34 plus 30 for biden. >> steve: talk about the younger voters. >> lawrence: i guess as you watch, you think it could not get worse for the president, it looks bad for him amongst other groups. younger voters, my generation and people 35 and younger. 47% is for the president and 48% say they would vote for donald trump. this is huge. i think ainsley, a lot of us, i'm 30 and just bought my first house, people are ready to do that and interest rates went up, on basic level of economics, it looks like my generation is being hit hard. >> ainsley: you will have to pay student loans, too, biden promised he would pay those off and couldn't get that through. >> brian: he stills thinks hooem do it. >> steve: so many young people struggling, are living home with parents or have a bunch of roommates and stuff like that. >> ainsley: if you own a house, like in texas and move to new york, you don't want to put your house on the market because interest rates are so high, you might get more if you wait. >> lawrence: that is advice ainsley gave me. >> ainsley: that is just hypothetical. >> steve: number one issue when you ask people, is the economy, when it comes to what we learned yesterday, number one issue, motivated democrats to vote was abortion issue and number one motivating factor to get republicans to vote for the democrats in some cases. going forward, the messaging democrats have been very effective at saying if you elect that republican, they will take away your reproductive rights. what the republican party need to do is figure way to present themselves as party of the mob. we are the all-family party, the party of the mob looking out for you. >> ainsley: great line. the party of the mom. >> steve: they do that, they can win. >> brian: arizona, nevada, colorado, putting it on the ballot and hope the candidate comes with ballot issue. >> lawrence: looks like the party has a big objective, deal with early voting, they have not figured out how to mobilize folks there and don't have a ground game we've been able to see. you see interest amongst black voters, hispanic voters, how do you get people to the poll. ronald mcdonald has a big challenge ahead of her. >> steve: you are our ground game and covered a lot of ground with the polls. >> ainsley: thank you, lawrence. >> brian: you didn't tear your akill ease, you can come back. >> ainsley: ivanka trump is set to take the stand in the civil fraud trial against her father. >> steve: griff jenkins has details. >> griff: day 25 about to get underway, attorney general leticia james will seeification take the stand around 10 a.m. her father is not happy about it. yesterday writing on social media, this. tomorrow my wonderful and beautiful daughter ivanka is going to lower manhattan courthouse at the request of leticia james who allowed murder and violent crime in new york to flourish. this follows the former president's testimony where he clashed with judge. >> mr. trump can engage in distractions and that is exactly what he did and committed on the stand today, engaging in distractions and name calling. i will not be bullied, i will not be harassed. this case will go on. >> griff: trump attorney attacked james for forcing the former president's children to testify. >> she has not been here for days, you know when she will come, when the main event is here, trump. these children are being brought in away from their families for doing nothing wrong. >> griff: what is worth noting as we watch testimony or hear today, ivanka distanced herself from the family business years ago after dismissing claims against her. >> brian: is she there to get her to turn on her dad to put maximum pain on the family. unbelievable. >> griff: we'll see what they say at the microphone afterward, been active there. >> steve: former president is effective at putting his point of view out before and after everything. >> brian: leticia james has nothing on her to-do list, no crime in new york city to follow-up on? >> steve: good news. >> brian: good to know. >> steve: 8:16. >> ainsley: hand it over to carley. >> carley: fox news alert, israeli forces are launching more attacks on hamas targets. the idf announced arrest of 10 people associated with the terrorist group and announcing it killed head of weapons and industries for hamas. there is secretary of state antony blinken speaking out on talks at the g-7 in japan. no attempt to block aid ade and no reduction in territory of gaza and ensure no terrorist threats emanate from the west bank. >> carley: blinken saying only way the war will end is set condition for a peace process. overnight, police involved in a high-speed chase speeds through a los angeles highway. officials say the motorcyclist hitting speedup to 100 mile per hour. helicopters in the sky helped keep track of the suspect who police arrested at a traffic light. moments ago, the smithsonian national giant pandas leave for china. the two pandas came in the year 2000 as part of agreement with the wildlife and conation program. za atlanta is only zo to have panda, but they will return to china next year, this is part of u.s./china aggression toward each other, affecting the panda population. >> brian: we had a lease, we didn't own them. >> ainsley: one guy is going back to the zoo, to see the pandas before they leave. australia is trying to the edinburgh has two. >> brian: the panda created on our property. >> steve: they are the property of china, that happened in the past. in olden days in washington, i covered panda-moanium aboutling-ling and shing-shing. >> ainsley: they had a baby. >> steve: during the nixon years. >> ainsley: is that panda diplomacy. >> brian: one reporter fell into the bear pit -- no, i'm thinking of "anchorman." that was crazy, it made me worry. >> steve: they do have a zoo. >> ainsley: what does that mean? >> brian: not saying a word. >> ainsley: just say diego. >> steve: veteran day is saturday and fox news is partnering with u.s. vets in the fame camel for a cause campaign. fox news branded camo stuff, shirt, mug, hat, necktie, get it all. >> brian: aunt kathie is trying to find out if my uncle invented camo and nothing yet. 20% of proceeds donated to local veterans. >> ainsley: it says frenchman and others, maybe your uncle is others. go to the qr code on the screen or honor.usvets.org/foxforward. >> brian: lawrence found kathie quite credible. >> steve: if your uncle did create it, would he have named it camouflage? >> brian: doesn't sound like him, view people were alive, remember we had red coats walking through the woods issue easy to shoot and we linked to blnd in with the wudes. >> ainsley: maybe he helped bring it to america. or maybe he wasn't involved at all. >> steve: there is that possibility. >> ainsley: coming up, house lawmakers including number of democrats voting to censor progressive fire brand rashida tlaib after comments on israel. >> brian: congressman andy biggs why is this more then and there symbolism? >> when you have a member of united states house of representative advocating for genocide of the israeli state, everybody in that state not only is she advo indicating crime against humanity, violation of law, violation of just basic human rights. for her to stand and say that it is excusable, she is not meaning that, she is using a well-known phrase that advocates for genocide and facilitating and providing comfort and aid to enemy of the israeli people who are our ally. >> brian: can we point out, she is saying vile things about the president from her own party? can we point out no contrition there at all, ilhan omar was screaming. congressman bowman, mr. i pulled the fire alarm, accusing everyone for being racist. at the end of this, are you worried you are giving fuel to her fire? >> no, i don't think so, i think the american people are very smart and understand what is going on. i think like me, they are stunned we actually have pro-hamas, pro-genocidal terrorist organization supported by small minority of american people that are vociferous, but american people understand what is going on and repelled by it as much as i am. >> brian: 100,000 washington, others going to defense contractor headquarters today, it is disturbing. i want to talk about other important things, special counsel david weiss from delaware behind closed doors to talk before the judiciary committee. what could you tell us he relayed to you? either he is lying or whistleblowers are lying about what ability he had to investigate something that should have been easy but taken over five years on hunter biden's hijinx. >> the whistleblowers are not lying, from david weiss, we was dodging, ducking and weaving, he only talked about his authority and he was trying to feather that out. he felt he had the authority, we never got to -- i ask him who gave you the authority and it neverreally materialized. every question of substance, ongoing investigation, that was some kind of prerogative we couldn't talk about. he did not want to answer questions, but actually in so doing, confirms what we suspect, and that is his relationship with biden family. he got special treatment from the delaware senate to get reappointed, he was the only one not dismissed by biden, why was that? conflict of interest, in my opinion. he doesn't want to tell the truth and get to the bottom of it. when will the report be out? >> brian: after the election, 40 fbi investigations stunted reported that were not followed through, accusations they were told not to investigate the father. thanks so much. meanwhile, straight ahead, with less than a year to go to election day donald trump is surging big time in the polls, beating president biden in several battleground states and making endroad with minority voters. the panel will tell us why. which hotel? >> i think better because -- thanks for having me, doing better in swing states not because they like trump, because they are so unhappy with biden right now. look at the president and think about the relationships we have with people, we're in a bad relationship with the presidency, but most people don't go back to their ex-boyfriend, i feel we would move forward with someone else. >> ainsley: i see you smiling, moses, good analogy, right? how will they vote in the next election and why do you think trump is doing better? >> it is more anti-biden thing, democrats are focused on identity politics and pronouns and forgotten hard-working americans are concerned about price of gas, groceries, public safety. inflation erased all gains of the previous administration. at 20 or 23, dealing with higher prices and interest rates double what they were three years ago. >> ainsley: my dad was so excited when he got interest rate for 11%. then our lifetime, they went down and now creeped back up. janelle, you told producers in 2020, you had blue hair, marching for black lives matter, that changed, why did that change and how do you feel now? >> it changed because i realized even in 2020, my family and i didn't vote for trump. we didn't have to talk about politics. my mother bought two refrigerators and kept them full. then she realized she was having trouble keeping the refrigerators full and she said the gas station around the co corner, gas is $4. something changed during the biden presidency and it is creating atmosphere of stress and it is only for so long we can back the party, just be democrats and vote for whoever they tell us to when our wallets, our streets, our family condition is speaking louder to ourselves. >> ainsley: you are right, all that stress when you are in debt or can't pay your bills and have a family to feed, really difficult. >> ainsley: the cnn poll, chance of voting for biden or trump, 51% said no chance i'll vote for biden. 48% said no to trump. why? >> i don't believe at this point they're saying no to them, they're saying no to the past. they are saying no to the present and the division, no to the fighting and saying we want another option. there is going to be a lot of people who sit this one out if someone doesn't step up to the plate and someone you don't want in office is going to win. i'm hoping things will change over 12 months, even with the debate coming up, someone will step up to the plate. republican party has to consolidate so a real option will come forward. >> ainsley: who do you like if you want different options?
