As the president makes his case, we see the rise of an antiisrael sentiment, especially in urban areas across the United States, more protests tonight in american cities. Meanwhile, as americans feel more unsafe at home, americans abroad are being warned by the State Department to exercise increased caution. Americans in lebanon have been told to leave as soon as possible as violent clashes erupt across the region. Would also like to take you live to the ground there later in the show, which well do, and in iraq, of course, drones and rockets are, again, targeting an air base that houses u. S. Troops. In syria, another base housing u. S. Troops was targeted by two drones. One was taken out but the other caused some minor injuries. And off the coast of yemen, a u. S. Navy destroyer shot down three missiles and several drones in the red sea. One official telling fox news that they were fired from Iranianbacked Houthi militants. Now as tensions show no sign of easing, the Israeli Defense minister made clear to his soldiers that their mission is imminent. Get organized, be ready. The order will come. Whoever sees gaza from afar now, we will see it from the inside. I promise you, thats a promise. Laura and israel is where we begin tonights coverage. Joining us live from jerusalem is john roberts, cohost of america reports. John, are israelis, any that you have talked to concerned that hamas has had too much time to hide or escape . Well, i think the concern is that hamas has been able to meticulously hide the hostages and thats the big concern here. Some 203 people are being held by hamas and, as far as we know, nobody really knows where they are. Now, in terms of hamas infrastructure and ability to fight every day that israel continues to bomb hamas, it degrades its capabilities. And this really has been an exercise in softening up the battlefield before those troops go in. There is a sense tonight, laura, after what feels like a long pause because the Ground Operation was believed was going to begin a week ago, that something is about to move. The fact that you have gallant the Defense Minister was there on the front lines with the troops saying you will soon see the inside of gaza. The fact that Benjamin Netanyahu was also out with the troops today gives a sense maybe in the hours ahead something may be moving. And then there is the other potential front which is up in the north part of the country where lebanon has been skirmishing with the idf with deadly results. You have a lot of tanks and troops and selfpropelled artillery and it may be that the idf may launch some sort of preemptive operation up there as well. And they go in to friday now with the full support of the u. K. Prime minister rishi sunak who was here yesterday saying that the u. K. Stands fully behind israel. He even went so far as to say we want you to win. All of this as the region really looks like a tinder box with all of those protests outside the u. S. Embassy, outside of beirut, and other countries. And all of that, laura, really predicated on what even Chuck Schumer said was a bald faced lie with hamas claiming that israel launched an airstrike against that hospital in gaza city, with all of the evidence that has been gathered by u. S. Intelligence would suggest that israel had nothing to do with it, that it was simply a Malfunctioning Rocket that had been fired by militants inside gaza. So, if the region does erupt, it may be predicated on a lie. Laura . Laura john, thank you so much. And as john just mentioned, some on the left were quick to jump on hamas claims that israel would be stupid enough to launch an airstrike against a hospital in gaza. Of course killing hundreds. We now know, according to u. S. And israeli intel that that is not the case. But that the media and the radical lawmakers continue to seize on the story to inflame tensions here at home and abroad, well, what many arent talking about are that the hospitals in israel are dealing with the attacks. Specifically being targeted by hamas to try to get them out of action because not only did they treat civilians but they do treat soldiers of the idf because they are so close to the front lines. So its absolutely inif you areiating to see the initial reports being parroted, you know, by their sympathizers and now we still have people like Rashida Tlaib idf this hospital when we know for a fact that didnt happen at all. Laura she know what is she is doing. Julio, i want to touch on what you witnessed rocket fair into gaza when that Hospital Attack happened you were treating about it. The first one i saw at the time what did you see and does it confirm perhaps in your eyes what the u. S. And israeli intel is saying . M. , local time, we had to we started to see the reports of this idf airstrike hitting the hospital that didnt sound right because we had just come out rocket barrage. Rockets still being fired for up to 30 minutes after that. And so when the so then when the other reports came out saying that was actually probably a misfire, it, in my eyes it confirmed just based on what i had just experienced an hour before. So, because but because people ran with what hamas said people believe what they want to believe. Preconceived notions about the other side. Julio, thank you. It is definitely at least over 1,000 people here packed in times square calling for the Immediate Release of the over 200 hostages according to the idf right now being held in gaza by hamas. One of them, i will ask my recover from, neil to zoom in on this. 4yearold roz. People here are handing out pictures of those who have been kidnapped and are being held hostage right now. Up near the stage there is also a Hole Gram Machine where Family Members are identifying themselves and identifying loved ones being taken and being held right now. Mayor adams just had a virtual speech that was played here before the crowd. Senate majority leader Chuck Schumer is here in person this morning. He made a speech leading a chant bring them home now. Multiple people were yelling at schumer for his recent support for an iran nuclear deal. There has also been criticism of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu here tonight. But i do want to show exactly how many people are here. I will ask my recover from to pan around. Again, it looks like, by my count, 2,000 people. Multiple city blocks packed. Laura, as have you mentioned, we have also seen a lot of propalestinian rallies with a whole lot of people. Take a look at this video from today. Multiple palestinian rallies happened across america at College Campuses, again, including harvard, duke, and the City University of new york law school. These protests happened after a massive rally last night in queens with an estimated 2,000 propalestinian protesters. Now, back out here live, laura, just about a block from where i am right now, there was another propalestinian rally just south of times square with, again, roughly 2,000 people. From speaking to the people there, not all of them support hamas, but there were some people that believe that its misinformation what happened on october 7th. And they told me that they dont necessarily believe the stories that are coming o out of southen israel 1400 people murdered and 200 people taken hostage. And there is nothing that we really see to indicate that his visit to israel was a success. But, thats not stopping bidens biggest fans from declaring it historic. There is no great leader in the history that i know of that does not have this kind of empathy. I say all in all it was a hell of a great trip for biden. The question is what is the president even seeking to accomplish here . I know there is a serious interest for western powers in europe and United States to try and make sure that the Palestinian Refugees dont end up in germany or illustration or somewhere else like that. Maybe to try to make some room in egypt. He was unable to actually meet with arab leaders there a concern from the department of state that israel may not even go into gaza in the first place. They are not sure where this would go. They are afraid of the repercussions it could have with the region. A possible war with iran. It looks like from the comments you heard earlier in the show that israel is still determined and joe biden came across as a little bit out of it as usual. And it was particularly embarrassing on his flight back on Air Force One talking live to reporters instead of talking live on channels to try to hide his frail age, he made no sense at all. We understand, we respect, and we appreciate different people working in this department have different political beliefs, have different personal beliefs, have different beliefs about what United States policy should be. Now, the department of state ought to go abroad and represent the just interest of the United States. Second, he ought to be honest about irans role in all of this. The biden enrich the iranian dictatorship made it more possible to support terrorism everywhere. And you confirm. He ought to confront qatar about the fact that they have the hamas leaders who are still sitting right there in very comfortable places with no thretion. He should say openly we support israel and the total destruction of hamas. When he said on the plane on the way back about the other team, it was sickening. Embassy is basically telling americans make plans to get out. Its not clear how long flights are going to be operating. Other countries going even further. Saudi arabia telling its citizens get out of lebanon now. The shelling between the two sides, between hezbollah, a terrorist organization, according to the u. S. , backed by iran and Israeli Forces over israels northern border has gotten more intense each day for the past 12 days. And its clear that israel is planning to try and harden its northern border. They are pulling civilians back, creating a one mile buffer zone, send sending in tanks, sending in Armored Personnel Carriers to try to h harden that border for what might be ahead.
