I think you nailed it there is not a strategy on many in the race and it vacillates sometimes between one and two different shape themselves which involves attack against a former president and they probably lean more on attacking the other six or seven then laying out their vision and theres a mistake that the longer you talk are the more you talk the more effective you dont need to talk to be the most effective if you have a strategy and a frame for how the country should address the toughest issues. Over the next few months another 30 days and i think we make it ours and fox a month or two but what they need to focus on what are the two or three things they want to make a safer and make it so we can afford the things that we need to invest Going Forward and make the country healthier and our kids smarter these are basics that you and i tried to understand and express what we were one politics. Have this children been reported missing by parents were missing from a shelter, how do you classify them as missing. Thank you for having me this is a really important topic and i appreciate the attention being given to it. The number sounds alarming but we want to be careful because some other news outlets are using words like vanishing and disappearing in schoolchildren and things like that. We want to be careful but before we go into that one kid missing is one too many and all of her books. What we see a lot of these are runaways and habitual runaways. So when you see the number of Missing Persons report that a kid leaves on friday and comes home on sunday and does it the next three weeks in a row that can equate to three or four different reports of a missing child when is the same one missing three different times but at the same token we want to be careful because they are young and juveniles they are naive and they could be subject to certain predators out there a wolf in sheeps clothing subject to drugs, prosecution under prostitution, or perhaps gang violence. This is why these cases are so important. The police have enough on them without Keeping Track of children in Law Enforcement react. That is what you do you react. Is there a better way of Keeping Track of minors, children, kids then someone calling in or absconded from a shelter or not being on the school rule. Theres a better way of Keeping Track of it. I think this starts with the parents at home in this generation here has multisocial Media Platforms online in the majority of the kids have smart phones starting at a very young age. Periods need to stay keen to this because they want to make sure who they know their kids are talking to online and where theyre at and put a Location Service on the device of their child so they know where they are at. I will give you the last word what can people that are not the parents of these children do to help you. The most important thing is for people to realize they are our biggest asset theres more people in the public then there are Enforcement Officers so we encourage people to take a couple extra minutes looking for social media were in line at the Grocery Store or standing at a bus stop or a new story about a missing person, take a quick look at this you might have the one key to solve the Missing Persons case and bring this person home safe. We saw this with her Health Captain ten years of life and her family never give up hope. Officers also have unique hours the power to arrest, search and seize impact reputation, jobs and freedom the right to use force including deadly force. Most Police Officers are good stewards and they dont abuse the public trust. There officers who do not deserve the uniform and the badge and their actions have lethal consequences for innocent people, some of these incidents shaken the bonds of trust between police and some communities when the american family. That puts all of us at risk. Police need the public and witnesses and information and that depends on trust and people need to know when they called 911 the person who responds is worthy of trust. The key is a relationship knowing one another, listening and humanizing one another is not just a patrol car a father, mother, spouse not just a motorist or is prospect if the person, trust can be built when leaders bring different perspectives together and faith can and should play a role in bridging whatever divides us in our country. What happened to tyre nichols is one of the worst things ive ever seen my men in uniform representing Law Adjustments do beating a motorist to death. How can bridges be built in the aftermath of something as horrific as what happened to tyre nichols. What weve seen over the last several years whether tyre nichols or george floyd or any other incident happened uses a lot of incidents to drive wedges between Law Enforcement communities. The truth of the matter is, the vast majority of the American People despite our ideological or political differences overwhelmingly support our Law Enforcement professionals, what we have about what doctor king called the Vocal Minority to monopolize the conversation with the majority of people in the africanamerican, hispanic, latino and White Communities want the same or more from Law Enforcement we have to turn to each other enter into our faith in one another and the divide to begin to reset Congress Enter conversations around Police Community engagement. The truth what happened to tyre nichols should never have happened but it was not unexplainable. Its inexcusable but not unexplainable. The crime, violence and carnage that people see in memphis drove those Police Officers to a place where they no longer had a sense of him and 80 about the people they are policing. Its incumbent upon all of us despite whatever differences we might have to come to tables of reconciliation and healing and build bridges and get communities involved with Public Safety in the local communities. Trey you put your finger on something, used to be a prosecutor and i say this all the time if its all you see you think its all exist. Some Police Officers and prosecutors if all they see is terrible stuff they began to view everyone like that. What is the key to make sure we dont do that and keep the proportions in mind that 95 of her fellow citizens are really good people. Absolutely. Unfortunately far too often the only engagement that our Law Enforcement professionals and some extent are prosecutors have with people and communities are with those that they are prosecuting that of committed some sort of crime and often times of violent heinous crimes really rob Law Enforcement professionals of their sense of empathy and humidity in the real sense about who they really are protecting and serving. If your Law Enforcement officer and all you see on a daytoday basis and the only people that you have an opportunity to interact in a Given Community with are those that are committing crimes. You will develop a psychological even emotional ineptitude with regard to how you treat people. What we decided ive been on the forefront of civil and human rights my entire adult life ive lived protest, marches and demonstrations and i believe in civil rights and social justice. What weve seen over the last several years with some of the emissive protest the demonstrations out of turn rioting, those are not in the spirit of nonviolent social change. We never progressed when we turned on each other. We only progressed when we turn to each other. Our idea now that the marching and protesting has not done a lot to deal with some of the social injustices. We have to find a more excellent way, we have created the largest Police Community outreach project in American History that allows Law Enforcement professionals at every level to sit together in reason together and experience and express humidity for the people that they are policing. I think you are absolutely right. Follow Law Enforcement officers see other criminals and they never have an opportunity to engage with the 95 of the people there communities they will begin to treat people unjustly and unfairly and i think thats what we see far too much of. Through the National Week initiative we created an apparatus where faithbased organizations of every kind can collaborate with Law Enforcement not for religious purposes but we give access to the Community Residents that these officers are sworn to protect and serve. The reason why im running, i served, over 10 plus years in the military as a green beret, deployed in iraq and afghanistan. I want to serve my nation in a new capacity. I want to serve the people that raised my. I am from heart of the 7 Congressional District. I was fortunate enough to have a great mother who got my working early in life. And earned an rotc scholarship. And deployed to iraq for many months. I earned my green beret, deployed 5 times, including afghanistan, the thing that got me motivated was watching the botched withdrawal in afghanistan, which lies at the feet of president biden. I lost several of my guys in afghanistan, it tugged at my heartstrings, i was tired of screaming at the tv, i decided ipt to serve i wanted to sev in a new capacity. What is ther argument that we which have left a presence in afghanistan, or the decision correct or manner in which we did it was feckless . I think the ladder. How we did it, there was planni, some of my green beret friends were on the ground that day, giving me information, there were highers that were confused, they did not know what was going on. I have been of a proponent when green berets and special ops went into afghanistan in the beginning, they destroyed the taliban and put them back in caves. One thing that you will run into if you are successful, you come from a background where the uniform means something and you protect people that have that same uniform, you dont shoot at people that have your same uniform, politics is different, some of the heaviest incoming you will take will be from people who call themselves republicans, how do you navigate that . How do you be independent in congress if you get there . I have been put under some of the most strenuous situations in the world. I have been shot at, i had deployed several times overseas. This is no different. I think that goes back to leadership to representing the people. We the people. And you know one thing that makes me different from a lot of other candidates is that i am the homegrown guy. Im not one of those guys that will make a vote in congress or a decision in congress and hide in my basement. I have to be held accountable, my mom, my grangrangrandma, Awng Aunts And Uncles will come to my door and beat it down.
