Brian march 13th you mentioned they have not it seen school yet. Can you imagine that your senior year you dont even get into the harv . Ninth great dont even get into high school . And there is no light at the end of the tunnel . What are they telling you . They go today ironically. Our school board has a meeting today on the most recent school plan get kids back in the classroom in a hybrid fashion two days a week. Unfortunately, we dont have a lot of trust left in Fairfax County. We have had a lot of plans approved for our kids to return to school and every single time the rug has been pulled right out from underneath of us and our kids have not been allowed to go back. Brian totally unacceptable. Lee, what about your situation . You have an 11th grader and ninth grader, right . 11th grader, ninth grader and seventh grader all boys. The 11th grader and seventh grader in the Public School system and ninth grader in Private School in connecticut in school in person. Its a different experience athlete between. Brian have you see longterm effect of your two older kids not going to school . Are you starting to see it. It definitely wears. I would say we are fortunate because they do have Internet Access and options for support. I think of all the kids and you talk about chicago that even if the teachers dont show up they dont have in school and think they can work remotely. A lot of kid in our environment and im sure in chicago and other places dont have access constantly to internet and others. I think we are fortunate in that regard. Things could be worse. I will put it that way. Steve you see the Private School have television they know if they dont perform get the kids back. Recruit open house day and they want retain them and get them. Joel, tell me your situation. Have you in school learning. You think its become a political issue. Well, we have hybrid learning right now. I have a freshman and a senior as well. Again, senior has not seen the halls of the school right now. Brian, heres the issue that is so frustrating. The cdc, centers for disease control, the organization Whose Mission it is to provide this information about getting Back To School is quoted as saying its critical for schools to open as safely and as quickly as possible for in Person Learning. Schools play an Important Role in the childrens educational achievement, health and wellbeing. Schools can also play an Important Role in slowing the spread of covid19 while ensuring that children have a safe and Healthy Learning environment. Our governor has just ignored that its turned into a political issue. He has left the decision to up to our 600 plus School Districts to decide on their own. Meanwhile, bars, restaurants, retail stores, films are all open. Yet, the schools are close or hybrid. Makes no sense. This afternoon, President Biden will sign at least three new Executive Orders that create a task force to renew five families, develop a strategies. Term create a it will Humane Asylum System and three part plan for safe, lawful and orderly migration. These actions follow a series of orders that roll back some of the key many Were Roll Back policies halting wall construction. Travel bans. Todays orders tackle the fallout of president trumps Zero Tolerance policy that resulted in families being separated at the border. Perhaps the most significant move we will see today, guys, of the ones taking steps to remain mexico policy. Known as the migrant protection protocols. Established in january of 2019. And it requires of the Asylum Seekers to wait in mexico while their claims play out. The white house calling this a, quote, system that is full of chaos, cruelty and confusion. You get to keep that and spend it however you want on your family and buy a nice house and have all the restaurants open and all the churches open.
