Flagler County closes on sale of utilities to FGUA

The county has transferred to the FGUA utilities that serve Beverly Beach, Eagle Lakes, and Plantation Bay.

The sale and transfer of Flagler County utilities to the Florida Governmental Utility Authority (FGUA) was successfully completed Thursday, Dec. 10.
“We’ve been working toward this end for quite a while, and was the most complicated transaction I’ve ever been involved in,” said County Administrator Jerry Cameron. “This is a big day both for us and the customers of the utility systems as FGUA can better serve them because of their industry-specific expertise.”
