PRINCE GEORGE, B.C. – The British Columbia Wildfire Service reported the first wildfire of the season in the Prince George Fire Centre on Sunday.
A wildfire was reported at Farrell Creek Junction just northeast of Hudson’s Hope. Officials determined the fire to be human-caused as a result of a campfire that spread from high winds.
The affected area covers 4.5 hectares, and officials have the fire under control. A crew is on scene, and no other resources will be needed at this time.
