First Nationwide Test of The Emergency Alert System on Nov. 9
On November 9, 2011 at 11 a.m. Pacific Time and 2 p.m. Eastern Standard Time, the federal government will conduct the first nationwide test of the Emergency Alert System (EAS). The test will last up to three and a half minutes.
