In the audience was Naima Kradjian, CEO of Goodwill Theater Inc. and longtime supporter of the arts in the Southern Tier.
"I wanted to experience what it felt like to be socially distanced from the art and from each other," recalled Kradjian. "Will I still feel like I'm in an audience? What will it be like?"
Kradjian recalls feeling 'shocked' at the back and forth energy between the performers and patrons, even with a socially distant audience, in the 100-seat tent in a parking lot next door to the Berkshire Theatre Group’s 780-seat Colonial Theatre.
"The first time the actors came on and started to sing, I was not alone in crying," said Kradjian. "Almost everybody in the audience had that reaction of oh my gosh, we can feel this again."
