A dead body found in a burning car in daylight is being treated as 'suspicious'.
Emergency crews discovered the body when they were alerted to a car on fire on Hume Road in Smithfield, Sydney's western suburbs, at about 6pm on Saturday.
Shocking video from the scene showed black smoke billow, as the flames engulfed the car.
A fire engine was also seen reversing away from the blazing car to keep a safe distance.
