From volkswagen today. The auto company, vw, just unveiling its new electric suv. It will be assembled right here in tennessee, usa. Volkswagen of America President and ceo, scott keough will give us all the details a very busy hour coming up. Johnson johnson is beginning a latestage trial of the oneshot coronavirus vaccine. Jackie deangelis with all the details. Hi, jackie. Reporter good afternoon to you, david, that is really important. Latestage testing will get to us the vaccine this is phase three for Johnson Johnson. Administration operation warp speed has four candidates now, this is the fourth one to get the latestage testing phase. Phase three for Johnson Johnson will be 60,000 people across the country and abroad. Moderna, pfizer, astrazeneca, they are the other ones right now in the latestages this is coming as the department of health and Human Services Just Announced 200 million as well to try to get certain jurisdictions ready to administer the vaccine. It will help them to distribute it and put infrastructure in place. But it is important to take a step back here, david, to realize what has been accomplished in the last six months. The administration pushed the drugmakers and the fda to Work Together in a new way here, to maximize speed and efficiency to and other wise very cumbersome process. I spoke to the former fda associate commissioner peter pitts yesterday, he told me this is an Inflection Point of private enterprise coming together with a government entity, agency, in a way that we have never seen before. It will elicit profound change. Listen. Health care ecosystem working together to defeat covid19 informs us as how change agents, for example, inside of the fda can take those learnings apply them to noncovid19 issues. How can we bring drugs and biological devices to the market faster, use new type of statistics, science and real world evidence and that is going to happen. Reporter with covid19 yesterday surpassing that 200,000 mark this is all so important. All the trials, all the work that has been done, even the negative outcomes been out there, david, they have helped us get closer to combating the disease and create a new Gold Standard for research and development as we move forward. I think that is really going to be important when we look back on this in history. David it is. Although only 13 of people will immediately get a vaccine once it is available . That is kind of a low stat. Im quite surprised at that one. Jackie, thank you very much. Will the vaccines speed our economic recovery . To the cow guy ag optimist, scott shellady, Potomac Wealth Advisors president mark avaloen. Scott i know the answer, you think a comeback will rely a lot more than on the vaccine, right . Yeah i do. We have the antivacsers. Do you have to get it every year . There is a lot of questions out there. Were not going to have that trust a lot of people, not me per se, you know how it is. People have their masks on. Can see visibly wearing the immune system on your face. Even though youre outside, they stay six feet apart and do half mon around you Walking Around them. The level of distrust will be tough because they have been beaten up by the media last five or six months. When is the last time you will see 105,000 people in ann arbor for football game. The answer was a vaccine. There are too many questions. So yes, it will be part of the solution but it will be two, three, four years off, rather than back to normal day one. David mark, lets switch to the markets if we can because there is great concern among investors what is happening in europe right now. We had the spikes in infections. Not a necessarily spike in deaths yet. That is good news. Some people say that might be coming. It may be a lagging indicator. It is affecting one commodity in particular. I want to focus on that a second. Gold is down big time today, down almost 40 per ounce. A lot of people are saying because of the spike in the dollar. Look at that, now it is down 40. 90, well below that 1900 mark. The dollar meanwhile is surging because europe is in worse shape, not only with regard to spike in innexts but also in terms of their economic recovery. The question is whether theyre going in a tight lockdown again. The people in the uk say no, despite the spike in infections were not going into a deep lockdown. We may tweak the comeback but were not going to go in a deep lockdown again. How much of all of this is tied together, what is happening with gold, the economic progress and the spike in infections . Well i think economies have learned that a total shutdown which may have been merited when we didnt have a handle on this isnt really going to happen if we get round two. We have better treatments. There is lower fatality rates. We know the highrisk groups. So that should allow economies to stay open. On the gold issue gold traditionally had been a hedge against inflation. A stronger dollar subdues inflation and this slower, or lower Economic Growth doesnt bode well for future inflation. Look you have the fed pumping out enormous amounts of money just to keep the economy afloat. While there are pockets of price increases because of the dislocations of covid the reality is across the board inflation is not happening. David right. Energy is down. Other commodity costs are rising like lumber but it is not universal. So this disjointed recovery were have something subduing growth, subduing inflation and david gold goes down when the dollar goes up. That is also what is happening. That is affecting things for the reasons i mentioned. Scott, you have a lot of connection with the brits you lived there for many years actually. They have been through so much. What surprises me about the brits, how much they can take. They went through the blitzkrieg during world war ii. They went through a disasterous era of socialism almost killed the economy which only Maggie Thatcher could bring it back. They have gone through deadly smog in britain. They are telling me, the brits that i talk to were learning to live with covid. We may have a spike in infections but were learning to live with covid just as we lived with all the other disasters in our history. What do you think about their comeback . Dont forget they also lived with the plague a long time ago. David long time ago. Yeah. Theyre selling me the same thing as well. You know what . It breaks down very similarly to what we have here, right . They have a conservative party and liberal party like we have conservatives and democrats. A lot of exact things were seeing there were seeing here. One thing the viewers should take note of, last election they had, johnson, Boris Johnson is very much like trump. Jeremy corbin is very much like biden and bernie. It was a landslide to johnson. David right. Because the average, the decency of the average everyday brit came out. Theyre commonsensical. Stiff upper lip. We have to learn to live with this well carry on. Well not have socialism take over to ruin our lives t was a really good vote from the heart how they want to take this Going Forward and how they will handle the pandemic. I think they have been doing a great job. David you think the same is going to happen here in our election, right . 100 . That is why i brought it up. Thats right. David very quickly, one thing if scott is wrong, mark, one thing we may see from the democrats this wealth tax. It is really wealth confiscation tax, not based on income, how much you earned, how much you have, they would take a piece of that. Jamie dimons arguing against that, he doesnt mind a slight uptick in income tax or Corporate Tax but does mind the wealth tax. It has been tried dozens of times before and failed. Do you think the democrats woo go through with that . Jamie is right. Way too cumbersome, too many assets are not priced daily like publiclytraded stocks are. There is no mechanism in place to tax real estate, privatelyheld investments, privatelyowned businesses. What is ironic to me, we have a system that taxes assets. It is called the estate tax. David thats true. If they were serious about doing this, im not suggesting they should, simply use the mechanism, regulatory scheme in place called the estate tax as opposed to instituting something that would increase Regulatory Oversight costs immensely, slow the economy down. So estate taxes may be in vogue again. I think this is conversation is going to go. The other way theyre talking about is a nonstarter. David theyre talking about starting it, some of the leftwing is. The question whether biden can resist the leftwing. Mark, scott, i know i leave you with these depressing thoughts. I see you shaking your head. Be optimistic my friend. Cant believe it. David thank you, guys. Tensions between the u. S. And china flaring at the virtual version of this years u. N. General assembly. With President Trump and president xi trading virtual barbs. To the china learning curve author dan joseph. We rely a quite a bit here at fox business because of his expertise in the country. Dan, President Trump claiming china closed wuhan internally when still open to international travel. In other words they knew how dangerous the virus was. How transmissible it was. They closed it down to other sections of china. They kept it open to the rest of the world, they didnt want to suffer alone. They wanted to share the suffering with the rest of the world and they are responsible to a large degree spreading this virus. Other people like general jack keane who say the same thing. What do you say . Im not sure i would go that far. There is no question that china mishandled the virus in the early stages, frankly so did europe and we havent done that great of a job. It is cheer globally how you manage a pandemic is not something we mastered and chinas lack of transparency doesnt help the reputation. Im sure they did issue statements that were misleading however, i think it is an extra step to say that they intended to spread this. I dont think they had their hands on how impactful it would be either. Did they mishandle it is it yes. Was theyre lack of transparency and misleading david dan, it goes far beyond lack of transparency. Lets be straight about this they are jailing people. They threw into jail 18 years of hard labor a businessman who dared criticize president xi and their response to the coronavirus. There is a huge coverup going on. This is not just lack of transparency. This is a coverup of their role in keeping information quite evident and now jailing and possibly even killing people who speak otherwise. Thats more than just lack of transparency, isnt it . Yes. That is consistent what china has been doing, rolling back the little bit of Political Freedom they had six or eight years ago under the current administration, the xi administration. It is more of the same thing. I dont deny that. Theyre taking that to an an extreme frankly wasnt anticipated a few years ago. I think it will backfire on them. Yes, if you want to use more severe terminology, i dont disagree with that. The rollback in Political Freedoms is ugly in china. Im simply suggesting i dont think they intentionally let the virus get overseas. I think it was more combination of bad management and their desire to protect their reputation over everything else. That is all im saying. David pen again it look the like closing internally, opening externally. Nobody explained to me why that happened other than trying to spread it intentionally. Dan joseph, thank you very much. Great to see you again. Appreciate you coming on. Thank you. David restaurants like fat brands are still making deals despite the pandemic. The companys ceo is here. He is coming next. Still your best friend. And now your copilot. Still a father. But now a friend. Still an electric car. Just more electrifying. Still a night out. But everything fits in. Still hard work. Just a little easier. Still a legend. Just more legendary. Chevrolet. Making lifes journey, just better. Im a delivery Operations Manager in san diego, california. Weve had a ton of obstacles in finding ways to be more sustainable for a big company. We were one of the first stations to pilot a fleet of zero emissions electric vehicles. The amazon vans have a decal that says, shipment zero. Were striving to deliver a package with zero emissions in to the air. I feel really proud of the impact that has on the environment. But were always striving to be better. I love being outdoors, running in nature. We have two daughters. I want to do everything i can to protect the environment to make sure they see the same beauty ive seen in nature. My goal is to lead projects that affect the world. I know that to be great requires hard work. My glookentertainmentourcts experience xfinity x1. Its the easiest way to watch live tv and all your favorite streaming apps. Plus, x1 also includes peacock premium at no extra cost. This baby is the total package. It streams exclusive originals, the full peacock movie library, complete collections of iconic tv shows, and more. Yup, the best really did get better. Magnificent. Xfinity x1 just got even better, with peacock premium included at no additional cost. No strings attached. Six months, so the city is taking submissions from people who have ideas that might extend that Outdoor Dining season. Here are a few examples. You see shipping containers that people can stay with their own party in. Or iglooses, things of that nature, but problem is as michelle the owner here will tell you, you just dont have that kind of money right now. Exactly. We appreciate the ingenuity and ideas but at same time the financial feasibility of it is really not a reality for us. Reporter couple weeks ago we had some crummy weather in chicago. It wasnt really cold. You texted me in that time. Even during that week you were having trouble making payroll just because people were not eating outside. That could be a sign of things to come unfortunately. Absolutely. For us weve been able to sustain as you mentioned through the summer with these nine tables that we have outside. When we lose this, with people not being comfortable inside yet, the capacity being so limited for those who are it is just hard, 100 expenses on 25 occupancy is not a reality. Reporter im glad you mentioned that. Outdoor dining, capacity here is just under 40 tables or 40 seats i should say. Inside if they expand that to 50 it would make a big difference. Almost room for almost 140 on almost 150 seats. There is a lot more room if they just expand that Indoor Dining but as of right now, david, there are no plans to do that. That is really starting to concern Business Owners who at this point are essentially relying on things like this, these outdoor heaters. But in a chicago winter this is only going to do so much, david. David with all the cold, wet wind comes in off of the lake. An outdoor heater aint going to cut it. Best of luck. My heart goes out to them. Grady, thank you very much. Fat brands just completing its acquisition of restaurant chain Johnny Rockets for approximately 25 million despite the coronaviruss impact on the restaurant industry. Fat brand ceo Andy Weiderhorn joins us now. Good to see you, andy. Im wondering if there was a discount built into the Acquisition Price because of the pandemic . 25 million, clearly if it was before the pandemic you probably would have paid more, no . Thats right. Weve been trying to buy Johnny Rockets for three years. We had a long negotiation. The price was higher, a little lower. It was a little banged up. Were making investment for the long term. Were very excited about the brand. David involves franchises. These are franchises. If im a potential franchisee, thinking about this for years, saving up my dollars and cents, regular salary wage, business of my own, i would think now if i have the cash, now would be the perfect time to buy into a franchise. It will not get any cheaper, right . Youre absolutely right. Our phones are ringing off the hook for our different brands, fatburger, johnny rocket, hurricane, all these brands, customers are calling i want to be franchisee, start my own business. Work from home. That kind of stuff. It will be a liftoff period for franchises. David how many are available . How many franchise eyes given up because of the pang pan, because they bought in before the pandemic and taking a loss . How many franchises are available . Were not seeing too many closures across our brands, maybe one or two dozen out of 700. It is not a crazy closure rate given how bad things have become for the restaurant industry, but people opening new locations with brands that proven to work well. Brands resilient throughout the pandemic. Were fortunate were not in the fine dining category. Those poor guys are getting killed with dining room close sure. David a lot of the franchises have focused on takeouts and it is easier to take out a hamburger than obviously a steak dinner why the luxury people are suffering. I want to ask you, the pandemic is not over as we know unfortunately. Many people said once there is a vaccine it may be months, even longer before we go back to our regular dining habits, Outdoor Dining habits, how involved are you going to be the main company designing protocols for dealing with dining during the pandemic . Weve been all over it since the beginning. Look as you said just a minute ago on the other segment winter is coming right . David yeah. We are fortunate we have a lot of Outdoor Dining space up and down the east coast and west coast with our restaurants having out door patios, screen porches, things like that. Coaching franchisees, get heaters now. Dont wait until the fall starts or winter. Get plastic walls, try to warm them up. It will not work in every market but in most places. Delivery goes from 10 to 35 , up to 70 . That made a huge difference. Huge difference. That helped us get through it. You have to get ready for it. David i do. Theyre giving me a wrap, i have to ask, give you a platform, talk to governors and mayors not ready to open up talking about 25 indoor which is not enough . Right. You have got to grant outdoor permits. Got to get rent relief for franchisees, Restaurant Operators. That is problem no one talking about builtup rent owners owe. Has to be some solution. Ppe was a huge help. Restaurant owners need another round. David Andy Weiderhorn, thanks for coming in. Our hearts are really with these franchiseees. There is no Better Business in america than a franchise. Thank you. David some democrats push packing the Supreme Court some republicans are pushing back. Details right after this what do you look for when you trade . I want free access to research. Yep, td ameritrades got that. Free access to every platform. Mhm, yeah, that too. I dont want any trade minimums. Yeah, i totally agree, they dont have any of those. I want to know what im paying upfront. Yes, absolutely. Do you just say yes to everything . Hm. Well i say no to kale. Mm. Yeah, they say if you blanch it its better, but that seems like a lot of work. Now offering zero commissions on online trades. We charge you less so you have more to invest. How did you come up withd opened all these backstories . Tudio. I got help from a pro. My financial professional explained to me all the ways nationwide can help protect Financial Futures in peytonville. Nationwide can help the greens get Lifetime Income because their son kyle is moving back home and could help set up a Financial Plan for mrs. Garcia. And he explained how nationwide can help mr. Paisley retire early and spend more time with his pal, peyton. And their new band. Exactly yeah. Dont forget the band. I havent. groans hmph. food grunting menacingly when the food you love doesnt love you back, stay smooth and fight heartburn fast with tums smoothies. Tum tumtum tum tums. David Justice Ruth Bader ginsburg lying in repose at the Supreme Court today as republican senators look to have a floor vote on a potential nominee before the election. Chad pergram is live from capitol hill with more. I dont think we ever had it this close to an election, have we . Reporter no, youre absolutely right. Youre right the fight will move across the street from the Supreme Court to the United States capitol here very soon especially since republicans have indicated they have 51 votes. They have the support on their side of the aisle to advance this nominee whoever it may be. Heres Senate Majority leader mitch mcconnell. The sky is falling when a democratic president does not get to confirm every last judge he or she wants and the sky is falling when a republican president gets to confirm any, any judges. Reporter but history is not on the side of senate republicans. Listen. We look at history, this is going to be precedent setting. This is a tough situation. We should be waiting. If i use the words of all my colleagues, republican colleagues with merrick garland, let the people decide. Reporter senate last confirmed a nominee in 1940. That was Justice Frank murphy. You have to go back to Benjamin Cardozo in 1932. Before that, Louis Brandeis in 1916. All election years, each time way before the president ial election this is why democrats are so upset. You have to go back for a lame duck confirmation to 1880, 1880, you had the confirmmation of William Woods confirmed just before christmas. He was nominated and confirmed in six days by rutherford b. Hayes. They never had any sort of confirmmation this late in year, close to election. Senate Majority Leader Mitch Mcconnell asked that question this morning of the Senate Parliamentarian and there is no such precedent in the senate. David we would say democrats would be so upset replacing a liberal with a conservative, but this is precedentsetting no doubt. Chad, appreciate it. Republican ohio congressman jim jordan, blasting democrats pushing a resolution to prevent any party from packing the Supreme Court calling for a limit to nine justices keeping it at that number. Real clear politics cofounder tom bevin where all this goes. I have to gush a little bit about markets, real clear politics, at a time nonpartisan reporting almost disappeared from the landscape in america, real clear politics, real clear markets, all the real clear products provide with nonpartisan reporting. It may be a kiss of death for applauding it but i had to applaud it before i get the to the questions, tom. Democrats let the cat out of the bag they want to pack the Supreme Court by changing rules. Some rules have not been laid out in the constitution. Were free to do this as a nation. Others would require an amendment to the constitution but, letting that out, that they are for packing the court, is that a smart political move on the democrats part . Well look, i dont know. Were going to have to wait to see how the public is adjusting to all of this. Rbgs death has injected even more intensity and uncertainty into a race that was already, you know, very, very intense. Democrats have obviously raised a ton of money on this, but this is issue republicans care deeply about. So i think both sides will be energized about it, i do think however all of the discussion right now, i dont think democrats want to be talking about blowing things up and burning things down. David yeah. You know just six weeks before the election. Im not sure that is language that will play well with the undecided, middle of the road voters they need to win in the swing states. David it is incendiary rhetoric. Nobody wants to hear more of that. Hope they put a lid on it. Hope springs eternal. Hearings coming up, as chad explained, there has never been a nomination hearing this close to the election. How wild are they likely to get in terms of the rhetoric . We actually have a piece on that this morning from phil wegmann at real clear politics. He talked about democrats, republicans, how they anticipate the hearings playing out. Republicans based on what happened with bret kaveladze hearings, they think if the democrats overreact turn this into a circus it will benefit them. Voters do not want to see particularly a woman, especially if democrats question her faith, her catholic faith as they did in her last confirmation hearings republicans think that will play very much to their advantage again, particularly in the swing states. You have, one in four voters in pennsylvania catholic, same thing in wisconsin. So two of those critical swing states have a lot of catholic voters that will pay close attention to the nomination if it is in fact amy coney barrett. David it is extraordinary, there is the First Amendment to the constitution which gives us the right to religious liberty no matter what our religious beliefs are, that should not affect what we do politically, making being a catholic being disqualifier for the Supreme Court, is that really on the table . Will they, will they try to couch it differently than that, the democrats who opposed these nominees . Well sure, they will say that it informs her judicial philosophy and thats a philosophy that is radically conservative. Now i think there are plenty of catholics who would take exception to that characterization but again i think democrats will have to be very, very careful the way they treat her if she is the nominee or whoever the nominee is for that matter, given it is so close to the election and again given what happened with Brett Kavanaugh a couple years ago. David amazing all these things are being thrown into the mix. You think you had a limit, the pot is full. Now it is overflowing with political anxiety. Tom, great to see you. Again, if you want the real story go to real clear politics. Thanks for being here. Appreciate it. Dont forget to watch fox businesss coverage of the first president ial debate starting tuesday at 8 00 p. M. Eastern time. It is going, this really could be a seminal moment in this, in this campaign. Meanwhile volkswagens new all electric suv coming with unlimited free charging for three years three years of free charging, no cost at all, save fuel cost. That is stuff that tesla made in china and brings to the United States face tariffs and theyre trying to block that from happening. Well keep you updated on it. Teslas stock which of course is a roller coaster daytoday is down significantly. Look at this stock. Talk about a 36 gain on a down day in the market this is Software Company bentley systems. It began trading today after launching their ipo, that is ceo greg bentley. People would expect it. But youre not hurt. 35, 34 gain probably helped your stoke quite a bit . Were gratified to accomplish this milestone. I say what we do is advancing infrastructure where the leader in the world, infrastructure engineering software. So our colleagues are all over the world but they all know that i ipo on the nasdaq, proud to work for an american company. It is not an end to itself but a means to reward our colleagues, they earned a third of the Company Ownership through Stock Options over time. David for those who dont know this, is a very solid company. Its a familyoriented company, if im not mistaken it was formed by a bunch of brothers back in 1984. Five family brothers. David five family brothers. What impressed me about the company, accounts you deal with, revenue comes from accounts, 80 of which are people have been with you for 10 years or more. You have a loyal following of accounts. I wonder over the years, this year, this particular year because of the pandemic how have those accounts been affected by what is happening with the lockdowns . Theyre Infrastructure Engineers. There are several engineers, structural engineers, geotechnical engineers of the world. They have had to virtualize obviously during this period of time. They have been all successful to do that. Have Collaboration Services that help them. We have done the same for our own colleagues, we virtualized rather well because they are globalized if you like. What we provide is software that is Mission Critical for the worlds infrastructure. So weve been able to grow even during this year. David interesting. And good for you for doing that. But i must say the Public Utilities taken a hit. Particularly things like airports. You know, a lot of, a lot of districts around the world are thinking gee, what do we need an airport for during the pandemic. Hasnt that come back on some of your business . Well we need more infrastructure in the world and to improve what we have. It is maintaining its fitness for purpose as that definition changes to reroute differently in airports a digital twin, where you have a evergreen 4d model of the airport is something possible and resilience to risks such as weve seen in 2020 we think will increase demand for that actually. Actually the Infrastructure Engineers of the world, for instance, help those make our climate more, or our infrastructure more, more resilient to Climate Change and adaptation and so forth there is a lot of work to come. David greg i have to go, a Family Company like yours, started with five family brothers working together will change enormously, dont you think, as a result of being a Publiclytraded Company and does that concern you . Well, it wont so much change. We will have a higher profile and that will probably, i think, hopefully, intentionally inspire us to do as well as marketing as we do as engineering. Were looking forward to the challenge of it. David good luck to you. 34 gain aint bad for the first day. We hope it continues. Greg bentley, thank you. Bentley systems is the company. Thanks, david. David looking for a job . Amazon might be hiring near you. You want to Pay Attention to this particularly if you, someone you know is looking for a job right now, millions out there are. Latest on what kinds of people amazon is looking for. Thats next. This selenite grey is so pretty, isnt it . Wow jim, could you pop the hood for us . There she is. Turbocharged, right . Yes it is. Jim, could you, uh, kick the tires . Oh yes. Can you change the color inside the car . Oh sure. How about blue . Thats more cyan, but. Jump in the back seat, jim. Act like my kids. How much longer . Thats exactly how they sound. Its got massaging seats too, right . Oh yeahhhhh. Oh yeahhhhh. Shop from home or inperson to learn more about the mercedesbenz sedan family. Lease the c 300 sedan for just 449 a month at your local mercedesbenz dealer. So youre a small bor a big one. You were thriving, but then. Oh. Ah. Okay. Plan, pivot. How do you bounce back . You dont, you bounce forward, with serious and reliable internet. Powered by the largest gig Speed Network in america. But is it secure . Sure its secure. And even if the power goes down, your connection doesnt. So how do i do this . You dont do this. We do this, together. Bounce forward, with comcast business. David so amazon is vowing to boost its workforce by the thousands due to the growing demand during the pandemic. Jeff flock has more on the tech giants plan. We all want to know where the jobs are, jeff. Reporter you know, they say you can get anything at amazon, david. As maybe you see. Also that includes a job right now. Yes, 100,000 people, that is how many people they need because of the push since covid. I mean it has just gone crazy for them. This is one of 100 new facilities. Youre getting a live look, exclusive live look for the first time today inside of this Fulfillment Center outside of chicago. It is humming already. It is not even fully up to speed. I just met a young lady, you worked in the events i was a lighting technician. Reporter you have been laid off since march . March was my last event. Reporter what possessed you to come to amazon . I wanted a job up on my feet. Ive been at warehouses before. This is honestly very safe warehouse compared to other warehouses i have been at. Reporter interesting. I got to ask you, how is the pay, how is the benefits . The pay starts out 15. 50 for all associates. Reporter 15. 50. It was a actually a raise. It was 15 before. Full benefits. Health, dental. Reporter you need a lot, were talking 100,000 people. You said youre trying to get your friends . I am. There is also referral bonus for 500, when you refer new people. Reporter you could make a little extra on the side. Yeah. Reporter thank you very much. David, it is amazing to be in one of these places. I know you have seen them before. But, ill tell you, just humming. To think they have opened 100 new facilities like this, this year alone . This is where the jobs are. David i love it. Wonderful information there, for people looking for a job. There are a lot of them out there. Jeff, thank you so much. Appreciate it. Medical School Applications are seeing the biggest spike in 10 years. Kristina partsinevelos has details on this. Hi, kristina. Reporter hi, david. We know that the pandemic really just changed the future plans for so many people but it has encouraged aspiring doctors to apply to medical schools across the country, to the point now were seeing record rates. According to the association of american medical colleges, organization that essentially administers the mcat exam, they said about it end of august they saw a 17 bump in applications compared to last year at this time. Here in new york city where i am right now at nyu medical school they are actually at the point now where they are about to surpass the number of applications this year, last year at this time. So overall there is no doubt that the pandemic is driving the surge. Why do i say that . Firstly you have many medical schools are waiving prerequisites like the mcat exam, stanford, university of washington. You have other schools actually saying, you dont need as many prerequisites like internship process and some that are actually delaying the fall deadline, giving students a little bit more time to apply. Then, david, you got to think of the economics of the industry. It is considered recessionproof a steady path where work will be constantly in demand. Of course you have got health care that is in constant spotlight right now due to the pandemic. So many people want to help out which could be seen as a good thing according to a lot of experts are seeing a shortfall of doctors especially in the coming years. According again to the association of american medical colleges. They say that the United States will base a shortage of up to 140,000 physicians by 2033. So, although medical schools across the country are seeing a surge in applications, the admissions cycle though will be just as competitive, if not more than previous years given the number of applicants. Back to you. David we should mention, thanks to our good friend, ken langone, many of those students, if not all of them will be getting tuitionfree education. He stepped in before the pandemic. Reporter thanks for pointing that out. David before he came in here offered a good chunk of money to make sure that would happen. God bless him. We wish them the best. We need doctors, thats for sure. Kristina. Thank you very much. Battery prices are dropping faster than expected, a cheaper all electric cars could be coming sooner. While volkswagen is unveiling its new electric suv today it says can get free unlimited charging. Joining me volkswagen of America President ceo, scott kehoe. That is spectacular looking car. Thank you very much. David the first three years i own that car, i buy it, i dont have to pay a penny for charging it it, right . That is exactly right. There is a lot of myths and complexity about charging. Free charging three years on amazing vehicle. David how do you do that . Do you provide rebates if people charge in the homes or do you have recharging centers around the country . What is the technique of payback. Yeah. It is, we of course have a Company Called Electrify America. It has been building a network throughout the country. All the charging is at Electrify America station. At your home you would still pay, but any supercharging network will recharge the battery, basically 30 minutes is all free, all covered. There is 2200 of them around the country as we speak. In the coming months there will be 3500 of them. Its a large, wellscaled charging Network Across america. David i did a little research. Most americans pay 1000 bucks a year for fueling their cars. This could be a 3 thou dollar bonus for people who buy. Enough of the good news. There is some news, difficulties with regard to electric cars which is we dont know yet what the final battery is going to be. Tesla is working on now tabless batteries to improve range and power. Theyre talking about a new battery that may come down the line that gives twice the mileage you get from current batteries. Dont you make mistake starting an electric car right now when were on the verge of all the breakthroughs in Battery Technology . No, david. Honestly i dont see it that way. Innovation is happening all the time and innovation is a great thing, if you look where we started this project where we are today the cars are Getting Better and better. The technology is Getting Better. Look at the end of the day if you look at teslas announcements, all the announcements, what everyone is trying to do is give the consumer a better value. If you look at the car behind me, after the rebates, this is basically a 30,000dollar car. Youre getting 250 miles, a spaceship of a vehicle that is faster than any ice car in the market, quicker better handling at 30,000. This is the sweet spot of u. S. Market. It is here now. Dont kick the can down the road. There will be more adoption. This is true of phones, computers, all technology. David that is true. This phone is ready to go, this car. David you mentioned all of the rebates. Im wondering if youre including some tax benefits that may go away . Yeah. No that is exactly right. We have the federal rebates as you know. That is 7500. That is good for 200,000 units. I think the smart thing you recognized, rebates give you a good starting point. Of course youre driving costs down all the time. In my mind that is the runaway. Runaway to help get electricification off the ground. Look at volkswagen we have massive scale. This platform behind me is built in five factories across the world, two in china, one in europe, two in america. This is launching the 32,000 car the one behind plea. Localizing in chattanooga, in tennessee, that is massive effort to bring it to america. Im quite proud and quite cool. David how many workers are you employing in tennessee . We have four thousand there right now. Well add 1000 workers to make the magnificent car behind me. It is coming online in that plant in 2022. In fact if i wasnt doing that interview i would be at the white house right now. Were getting recognition from ivanka and secretary ross for the work done in chattanooga. Brings me a lot of pride to do that. David scott, we have only 10 seconds. Are you nervous about competition from tesla . You know what, the beatles needed the Rolling Stones. The Rolling Stones needed the beatles. It made rock and roll good. It will make electrification good. David i love the rock and roll reference. Best of luck to you, scott. Thanks for bringing this to america. Scott kehoe of volkswagen america. Joe biden will look to create a tax code that rewards the middle class. Has his tax record matched his rhetoric . Well dig into the details next hello, im michael youssef. You know, history has shown that when a nation turns to god, broken families are healed, people break free from addictions and alcoholism, crime rates plummet. In the welsh revival last century, all across wales, police and judges had nothing to do. Why . Because there was no crime and it can happen here by gods grace, when you come to him. [narrator] when nations turn to god, they find their societal problems disappear. There is hope for this broken world, if you just know where to look. Wont you consider looking to the one who made you . Visit findingtruepeace. Com to learn more about his plan for your life. Again, thats findingtruepeace. Com. gentle music neil welcome back to cavuto coast to coast im david asman in for neil cavuto, a very busy second hour straight ahead, coast to coast starting in washington, d. C. Unto d. C. Where higher tension over mailin voting could be headed to the highest court in the nation, what republicans are pushing for, that is coming right up. Then to seattle, washington where the city council is slapping down the mayors veto, a Police Budget cut that are going to be severe, we break down the fallout from that. Also to new york where there is new hope for apple restaurant apple ceo is here with new bills being help the big apple get some kind of relief. Former Vice President joe biden looking to raise taxes on the wealthy and corporations an effort to create a tax code that rewards the middleclass, Hillary Vaughn has the details from washington, d. C. Hillary, we have heard that before. Joe biden spent decades in the Senate Voting against tax cuts that he said targeted the wealthy but some people disagree with that saying those tax cuts that he voted against were actually going to benefit the middle class, but he opposed them, but biden into thousand three, 2005 in 2006 lowered against capital gain taxes and he will almost double capital gain taxes to 39. 6 , thats the highest capital gain tax since 1977 but biden argues that that tax would only hit top earning americans that are invested in the stock Market Making over 1 million but back in early 2000, that tax impacted anyone who owns stocks, Manhattan Institute made the case in the mid90s a few years before bidens senate straight to raise capital gains, not just the rich that pay the price, middleclass families who have invested in securities or build Small Businesses must sell a large portion of the peak of their savings, at that time these investors had no choice but to pay tax on their capital gain, biden also voted against the repeal of the death tax, one year before that vote in the senate the c. B. O. Came out with a report that said 8 of farmers owed more in state taxes than they held in liquid assets and they said this about the potential impact of the death tax on farmers and Small Businesses, the state tax affects farmers and Business Owners differently from other people because of the business asked aspect of their wealth accumulation, and one survey they stated the high levels of the estate tax were powerful, this incentive to invest and hire new employees, lasting 2007 biden voted against the appeal of the alternative minimum tax, at the time it did not single out top earning households like it intended but it applied to other people as well. The tax policy says this about the alternative minimum tax before 2017, the individual alternative minimum tax primarily affected well of households but not those with the very highest incomes, it was more likely to hit taxpayers with large families, those who were married and those who lived in high tax states, not just biden past record on taxes that is coming under scrutiny, for different think tanks analyze bidens tax plan that he would institute if he became president and all four of those institutes decided that under his plan, middleclass households would end up getting less in tax income than they do currently by about 260. David we should mention, the biggest capital gain tax cut in my lifetime did not come from a republican, came from a democrat named bill clinton who signed into law, capitals gains tax cut that goes in the opposite direction of where joe biden epperly wants to go, thank you so much for that, i appreciate it. 41 days from the election, democrat nominee joe biden and Kamala Harris are looking to win over latino voters with the latest Washington Post poll shows democratic ticket slipping in a state the party lost in 2016 to Rnc Deputy Communications director cassie, thank you, first of all i want to ask one question about taxes, i dont hear it enough from donald trump or a lot of the republicans talking about what happened with the tax cut in the Trump Administration early on which is that 65 , at least of americans got a tax cut, even the New York Times had to admit, you probably got a tax cut because they found out that 65 of americans did, why do we hear that more from republicans . I think you do weather gets covered by the Mainstream Media is the next trick but the president is in his rallies touting and is messaging in the mail that you receive in your mailbox or inbox, we talk about it a lot because it ties to why before our economy was halted by the coronavirus, why things were going so well, we know with the tax cut and jobs act did you get to keep more of your hard earned money but it played into a 401k from companies and bonuses from companies in creating opportunity zones which speaks to the next topic with a latino support, these were the ripple effects of the tax cut in jobs act, you hear a lot spoke about that from donald trump on the campaign trail. David you want us to move to florida and said why, its one of the keys to winning the election, we saw that in going back to the year 2000 during gore and bush. First of all on judge barbara lagoa, she has a lot of connections with florida, she is perfectly qualified from what weve seen so far to be a nominee to the Supreme Court, she does pull in that audience from florida. She by the way i just noted that she was an attorney working for free for ilion gonzales, if anyone remember that tragic case where the young boy was on a raft with his mother, their raft song, the mother died and he was saved and she help support the family and tragically they had to go back to cuba, she has a lot of support for florida, will that be enough to make her the pick. That will be up to President Trump on saturday. But you make a good note with her cuban ties and that is of interest to particular cubanamericans of community which are so many affordable also when she was confirmed in the senate initially for her position, bipartisan confirmation, a notable confirmation especially in this day and age. But of course thats up to President Trump but we will get to that. I do think when you talk about the latino vote and where they might be likely to go this november, joe biden and Kamala Harris and the Democrat Party have absolutely taken latino americans for granted, they have not shown up, they have not spoken to them, with them other than doing, you saw last week the horrific desperate play where joe biden walked out with the desposito song on his phone, those gimmicks are not going to do it this time around, latino voters have seen the results, felt the results from President Trump starting with the very top of our conversation with a tax cut in job act which help them if they live in opportunity zones or as we know latinos are far more entrepreneurial than most voting blocs and that means a lot when you have a president in the office who is looking out for Small Business and entrepreneurs. David the message to latinos in america in particular in florida is the economic one that you did well up until the pandemic and you will do well once week recover from the pandemic under donald trump. Absolutely and then compound that with socialism and communism, things that are running rampant into the Democrat Party, yosemite latino voters who are firstgeneration for one generation removed from coming to the United States from a communist or socialist country, and to hear the rhetoric from the left in place to close from what youve heard from the communist dictators in the countries from which they fled, that is close to home donald trump fighting so hard against socialism and for democracy and letting democratic nation stand and then have joe biden proceed up to fidel castro in cuba, those are real images of what latino voters but any freedom loving americans should take note of and have an impact on how they go in november. David we should mention judge barbara lagoas parents were refugees from communist cuba. She certainly does fit into that description of the refugees from latin america. Thank you very much for being here, i appreciate it. Good to see you. 2020 voting is underway more than 26 billion votes being counted so far and already casted theyve not been counted yet, there are Court Challenges and issues in states across the country. Fox news correspondent eric shawn with the details. We never had such a flood of mail in both. That is true, we expect a huge surge, one of the major problems with mailing votes, the reasons they are rejected happens to be the voters fault, they dont sign the back of the envelope so they forget to follow the forms and theres a push to try and help change that, and pennsylvania for example when you vote by mail in the keystone state you get two envelopes, one is a secrecy envelope and you put your ballot in that and seal it and then you put the secrecy envelope in the envelope and then send them to the board of elections, wouldnt you know it voters sometimes get the secrecy envelope, now there is a push that those votes count, without the secrecy envelope anyway, philadelphia election commissioner says its a common oversight. We should be in the business of franchising voters, not disenfranchising voters. If there is a simple fix to this then it would be to eliminate the secrecy envelope. In the recent primary in new york city, over 84000 mailin ballots were thrown out because lots of voters failed to sign the back of the envelope as required by law, Brooklyn Assembly woman rodney says over 20 of the ballots in brooklyn did not have the voters sign the back of the envelope so those votes did not count, she has gotten the stake to put a big red x on the back of the envelope to remind voters where to put their john hancock. I suggest the change to the state board of election which will make it easier for voters to understand where they should sign on their ballot on the ballot envelope, Governor Cuomo took these changes so there will be a big red x next to a redline that says signature or marker voter. New yorkers can look for the big red x and the board of elections are making the type even bigger to make sure voters in the state know they have to sign the back of the envelope when they mail it in. Back to you. David weve already seen messy elections in new york due to the mailing votes. Probably going to continue all over the country. Thank you very much, could we be on the verge of bush versus or scenario like we sell the hanging chad back in 2000, the political reporter alayna for more. My own feeling that this is going to be worse than 2000 because i was generally confined to just florida where all the action is. This is nationwide right . Exactly david, bush gore was one state, florida in question, this year with the pandemic widespread impact all over the country we are looking at the potential for the litigation and uncertainty in multiple states but i do think that we dont know at this point, i think its a challenge for journalists like myself to be ready and prepared for the outcome never going to see litigation like pennsylvania as eric brought up where they see and uncertainty around the naked ballots, we have to prepare for the outcomes. At the same time we cannot create a chaos scenario where were working ourselves up about how long the election could drag out in november. David i dont think theres any way to avoid it, you see whats happening to certain local elections like the east side of new york. It is a mess, we will see that multiplied many, many times. I want to switch to another subject that made the news earlier, the department of justice is thinking of changing certain aspects of the way social Media Companies or social media platforms like facebook, and instagram are protected from litigation, they had these protections because their story in the past is we are just a platform, we dont get involved in the content therefore we cannot be sued for whats on our platform, they have been getting involved in content putting up not only warnings about certain tweets or certain Facebook Post by going beyond that and centering certain things. They become publishers more than platform providers. The argument from the d. O. J. Is going to be we are going to remove the protection that you have from being sued from people who dont like whats in your publication. What is the latest on this, is the d. O. J. Suits going to go anywhere . Is a huge deal, david. Were supposed to hear more about that later this afternoon, the president is meeting with state attorney general at the white house to discuss this in part. Its a question weve been looking at for years now. Weve seen facebook, twitter, google, all of them be involved in peoples Free Expression of political news and campaign ads, all of these things and some like facebook and Facebook Ceo Mark Zuckerberg argue that there not a media company, their platform and they should not be subject to some of the litigation, of course the Justice Department is arguing otherwise. Its going to be a big fight, the big battle and really timing wise a few weeks out from election day there is a lot here, its going to be very important and we should see more from that later. David timing wise everything is focusing and fondling itself into the election time span. This is an extraordinary point in history for the United States. Alayna you should be happy recovering of all, i thank you for being here. Fox business will have special coverage of the first president ial debate between President Trump and former Vice President biden, neil cavuto will be live next tuesday it starts at 8 00 p. M. Eastern time, i might even be there, dont miss it. We will be expecting you. Michael bloomberg facing a possible election bribery probe, what republican lawmakers are looking to investigate, that is coming right up. We got no free pass. Everything we have, weve earned. The unmistakable lexus is. Get zero percent financing on the 2020 is 300. Experience amazing at your lexus dealer. David another ipo doing well, goodrx urging as the nasdaq today, the Company Originally priced its initial Public Offering 33 per share, a range of 24 28 per share, the ipo are 12. 7 billion higher than the 2. 8 billion evaluation that the companys last private fundraising round and 2018, up 47 , supposed to do well on it the first day of the ipo but thats exceptionally well, big tech stocks dragon on the market while gold as we mentioned is tumbling, that is primarily because of the rise in the value of the dollar partly because of whats happening in europe, Lauren Simonetti has more on this. That is the story and the idea being undercut, europe is handling the coronavirus better than the u. S. , not the case right now, the rising infection numbers that we are seeing and many parts of europe is pushing the u. S. Dollar up, the dollar up 1. 5 this week, that is crushing gold, it was just over a month ago that gold hit a record 2051, it has pulled back now it is trading under 1870 and becoming more expensive to purchase. Another reason, the reason dollar is rising in gold and getting crushed is washington, no stimulus from congress, nothing from the fed that can weaken the currency, congress is an impact on stimulus, citigroup says, this is interesting, dont count gold out, they seem potentially hitting a fresh record high at the end of the year because the election uncertainty. Lets take a look at the stocks, they are low but once again trading is choppy, its not just commodities like gold but oil that is selling off, Technology Stocks as well. Take a look at the big tech names that we like to follow. They are down today but if you look apple and alphabet in particular, crushed in september, down 13 this month, facebook down 17 in september. David i will send it back to you. David thank you very much. Florida republican congressman matt gaetz is calling for Michael Bloomberg to face an election bribery probe over a pledge, he made to help florida felons regained voting rights, he is addressing concerns with Maria Bartiromo this morning pretake a look. I spoke to the Florida Attorney general in a criminal probe may be underway, it is a felony for someone to directly or indirectly offer something of value. David to Charlie Gasparino with more on this. Maybe it is just me but couldnt possibly be a coincidence that bloomberg agreed to spend 100 million in florida and that gates is from florida. Im just suggesting. Yes, obviously there is a lot of politics, florida is a key swing states and if trump loses ford he probably loses the election. I will say this i been covering the connection between business in washington for many years, it is really amazing that bloombergs pledge to spend 100 million to sway one state hasnt gotten a lot of handwringing from the Mainstream Media, the Koch Brothers came in here. Can you imagine if the Koch Brothers came in and said we will spend 100 million to give ohio or wisconsin to trump or michigan, could you imagine. It is amazing, i think this is an outgrowth of that. Anytime you have this much money so entrance washing around your gonna draw attention. My guess that bloomberg has his eyes dotted in tees crossed legally, yes you cannot have a direct inducement to make someone vote but prove its very difficult, i think what this all is is just raising the issue, once again how important florida is and is going to be a huge win for either or, trump is narrowing the gaps, some have them ahead with likely voters and the democrats would love to take that seat away from them and bloomberg is going to spend a lot of money there. The media story to me is fascinating because again if this was anybody else, if this was a rightwinger doing this, it would be explosive buying the election. David if i had a dollar for every article i read in the New York Times about how theres too much money sloshing around in politics, i would be a millionaire, but i have not seen much about this in the New York Times. Why is this not the front page of the New York Times. David if the democrats doing it not the republicans. What is fascinating about bloomberg, lets be clear, this is the guy that defended stop and frisk for years, take the criminals off the streets, any means possible, now youre gonna pay for them to vote or the ones that have served their times to vote, you cannot make this stuff up but we live in very interesting times. David we do indeed, Charlie Gasparino great to see you. Big news out of seattle, the city council overriding the mayors veto of Police Budget cuts. What exactly that means shortly after the break. I should get a quote. Do it. Only pay for what you need. Liberty. Liberty. Liberty. Liberty. And now your copilot. Still a father. But now a friend. Still an electric car. Just more electrifying. Still a night out. But everything fits in. Still hard work. Just a little easier. Still a legend. Just more legendary. Chevrolet. Making lifes journey, just better. David as we mentioned earlier big tech could be headed for big trouble at least in social media, the department of justice omitting a new proposal to congress that would curb longstanding Legal Protections for internet platforms like facebook, instagram and the rest of them, blake burman has the latest from the white house, we were waiting for this, now it has come, what would happen ne next. This is something that President Trump and the attorney general bill barr have been talking about for quite some time, section 230 of the Communications Decency act, what is in focus, that is essentially shielding social Media Companies from what there users end up posting on those platforms. Republicans, President Trump, many of his allies in congress have long felt that they have been targeted in some cases censored by the social Media Companies to distract legislation and they tried a couple different things, try to get rid of what the d. O. J. Sees as inconsistent practices by moderators, it also says that companies should not have blanket immunity from known criminal content that ends up on their products, the attorney general bill barr will be at the white house and joined with the president along with state attorney general, the ag staying in a statement, for too long section 230 has provided the shield for Online Platforms to operate with impunity, a white house spokesperson adding online censorship goes far beyond the issue of free speech, they also want to protect consumers and ensuring they are informed of their rights and resources to fight back into the wall. State attorney general are on the forefront the front lines of this issue and President Trump to hear their perspective, this is an issue that is likely not going to be going away anytime soon, regardless of whoever wins the election coming up in november, not only is this something that President Trump has talked about but joe biden has said as well he does not like section 230, the Communications Decency act for a different reason as democrats and biden say sometime in their view the social Media Companies in the promoting falsehoods and standby them and at least do not take them down on the platforms. A meeting at the white house and the 3 00 oclock hour later today. David they gotta pay the price, when you edit content on your platform, youre more than just an open platform, when you edit or censor the information, you become a publisher, that is the argument that we will hear. Good to see you. Cover this carefully. The Seattle City Council voted to override jenny durkins recent veto, a Police Department cuts by a 17 back to vote. This is the mayor signaling she may not adhere to the improvisers laid out in the councils proposal to kt th radio show host jason from seattle, i just love your coverage of whats been going on in seattle from the good, the bad and ugly to the ridiculous to the tragic, its all been happening in seattle and in away from my perspective the worst is yet to come because eventually the council is hoping to cut 50 of the budget of the police force and then they say where are the police. Are they serious. Unfortunately they are serious, lets separate the shortterm from the longterm consequences, in the short term because of the overwriting of the veto you will see 100 Police Officers being fired and a lot of that is going to come all of that will come from the newly hired class of cops which happens to be the most diverse in the history of the spd, and enable black lives matter they are firing a whole but the officers of color. Number two the getting rid of the Navigation Team which is a Specialized Police unit that connects Homeless People in the tent and cabinets around the city with shelter, with resources, that goes away in one of the most petty moves they decided the council to cut the salaries of the command staff and this was what weve seen being vindictive and petty. Thats a shortterm, longterm we expect to see crime going up, right now in the county weve seen over 44 45 increase in gun homicide, almost half of which have happened in the city of seattle, homelessness is going to continue to explode and theres going to be a significant issue about staffing the spd, they already dont have enough staff members, its goin. David as i mentioned, this charge, where are the police, that came from the Minneapolis City Council which is going through a very similar process then whats happening in seattle is also happening in portland to certain instead in new york city as well, when they do so much to discredit, defund and disrespect the police and then the police quit if they can or go on retirement if its possible that even if it is not possible, they are getting out and then ask where the police are, thats insanity or stupidity or combination of the two. Is a combination of the two, i can confirm its a combination of the two, weve been having these problems for a while, the most part when you dial 911 there only going to respond to priority one calls meaning emergencies that are happening at the moment that youre making the call we have had a significant past years of breakins and property crimes and when people call 911 they generally dont get a response for hours if they get one at al. David we have to jump but i gotta ask about businesses, how many have moved out and you know of any business in the past six months that has moved into seattle . Moving outlays been a significant jump in interest looking to bellevue which is a ten minute drive from seattle, weve seen the increase of over half when asked if there considering a move they said yes and weve also seen in the last few weeks amazon being overt, they are moving to the greater east side, they just chose not to lease an office space of 180,000 square feet. Those jobs are being dispersed to the bellevue and redmond ar area, they are not hiding this and dont talk about in the same way, they are not hiding their move, its been tied not only to the issue but a recent payroll tax. David a lot of businesses in new york are moving to bellevue but its a different bellevue if you know anything about new york hospitals, thats a problem that we share. Jason, good to see you my friend and good luck to you. Thank you david. David new york could see new aid for restaurants, details on what changes could be put in place in the big apple. That is coming up next. i need it so bad dont call it a hobby. Its way more than just a job. This is how we live every single day. David folks this is a fox business alert, i had to read this headline a couple of times to make sure i read it right. Listen carefully California Governor Gavin Newsom says the state of california, the state that is known for its highways and cars, is going to ban the sale of all new gasoline power Passenger Vehicles starting in 2035, 15 years from now, they plan to ban all gasoline powered cars in the state of california, a big state that uses cars to get around all the time. We know about electric vehicles but this is big news from gavin newsom, we will see how this works out, covid19 pandemic is changing the way people live their lives and changing how they are cutting cost to the cyber guy kirk newsom on moneymaking options that you could take advantage at home, i love these segments. Good to see you. David, right here is our gas guzzler that will be banned in the state of california where i am right now. But if you do own an rv or have not explored that, it is yet one thing that might be around your house that people have found during the pandemic are making the money, outdoorsy. Com is a website that has the Worlds Largest platform for renting rvs and we met somebody who rented an rv about four months ago for the very first time, three kids, wife hit the road, loved it so much he buys his own rv and now he just listed it at 445 a night. Is seemed like a winwin, i get to take great road trips but when im not using it i rented out and another family can take a great road trip and i can get some passing income. Rving has taken off, 1. 3 million was what was paid out to the top producer on outdoorsy between march 15 september 15, booking director hundred 50 yearoveryear for september. You also may have an extra car at home or may not use your car all the time, turow is a website that lets you rent out your card to other people, the top earner happens to be a Jeep Wrangler earning about two and half times what your Monthly Payment might be on that. You can go to the car q later to see what your vehicle might rent for. Then we have the marina behind us, you will not make a ton of money but allow you to list your boat and offset your overhead, lets go back to home and hit your driveway and look at the garage, there is money there there is a site called neighbor. Com, you can list out a portion of your garage in a space in your driveway to people who are looking to store in rv or park their old junk that they might put into storage locker, some people there earning 1300 extra just by renting out portions of that space at home that is not being used, what does all this mean, if you are doing this and decide to do this, i have three tips, number one make sure your existing insurance policy will cover you for other people using it and also choose a rental platform that already offers some form of extended coverage because you dont want to be caught off guard by that. The third thing, use the good sense of being careful about who you rent to, be selective about how you rent and who you rent to. Other ways back inside, if you got an opinion or you can make some money, 175 paid out to people to talk about social media took an hour and half of the time you you can sign up for surveys and earn money at home and the site is called fine focus groups. Com and i am sure you have an interest, there you have it, there is more output if you sign up for my newsletter, it is free, cyber guy, i will send you all the stuff and a plethora of more ways to make money from home, a popular thing people are doing because you can use some extra money anytime. David its amazing that some people get paid for giving their opinions, wait a minute. Kurt thank you very much. We have disappointing news from wall street, from the Dow Jones Industrial average, we are at session lows, 181 points down whether connected to the news coming out of california but by the year 2035 they will be on all new seals of gas powered cars, we dont know but it certainly has not helped the market, gold is still way down, down about 40 not that that has to do the dollar being up because of whats happening over europe, we will have more right after this. David corsair gaming is making ipo debut as shares are currently falling more than 6 , as you can see down about 5 year is the cofounder and president ceo andy paul joining us, first the bad news, we covered a number of ipos, they have all been way up, one is up 47 , white users down, thought done a lot but about 5 down. It shows that we price the ipo correctly and you can never tell on opening day but what we are focused on during the process is getting the right institution of investors and thats exactly what we did, we are happy with the outcome. David the good news, your company that has the potential of looking at 2. 6 billion buyers, consumers of your products of the gaming in e gambling world, how do you plan to exploit that huge universe. Most of it is going to show people how much fun they can have with gaming and coming to the gaming world of buying a gift, the members have developed 500 million of the 2. 6 billion that you mentioned for the pc platforms, that is a great deal if you have to start buying gear. It is a significant amount of people that have and i can tell you this year where people are little bit more focused on spending time at home, the market has been growing phenomenally and especially in our gaming relief real areas and streaming products, we see fantastic growth. David there are people at home more often but a lot of people who do not have jobs or income, how has that affected your business . We were initially concerned about that but it turns out is not affected at all, the overall Revenue Growth of you seen from the first half of numbers is a huge growth, what is happening is people are shifting the disposable income and what they have in the restaurants and bars also on gaming gear. David extraordinary, we hope as you say it happens to be in ipo that was priced perfectly in this market and thats weights down today, 2. 6 billion possible consumers, you really have a big universe, best of luck to you, thank you for being here. David new signs of hope, however, small for restaurants in new york city, the new York City Council members considering several bills that would aid restaurants in the Covid Recovery including one that would make sidewalk and curb side street dining permit in new york, we spoke with andy last hour on what he wants to see addressed for struggling restaurants. Listen. You got to grant outdoor permits and rent relief for the Restaurant Operators, that is the problem no one is talking about is a builtup rent with the Restaurant Operators owing. Ppp was a huge help of the Restaurant Operators need another round. David the ceo and my buddy zane, you have told me more than once that hope is not a strate strategy, how will the small openings, as hopeful as it might seem to some be exploited or how will that affect your strategy . Thats what i love about you david, have to be very careful of what i say because it always comes back to haunt me, hopefully not a strategy, the city getting propane heaters is huge and getting Outdoor Dining further along is huge, anything that can help has helped, what not is 25 Indoor Dining, younger higher staff, you have to have the manager and all the things and you will probably have more people in staffing that can handle 25 then seating. For example if you have 100 seats, 25 your servicing 25 people. It could take 15 people to service 25. David lets talk about Outdoor Dining, i ate out with my wife on saturday night, it was cold in midseptember, it was cold eating out, they did not have the space heaters but theres questions, if there is one accident with a gas powered space heater, they will be shut down. How far can you go with Outdoor Dining. I think you can go all the way, the model is out there, we are in westchester as you all know, and by the way the wonderful saturday night dinner with a wonderful wife. Saturday nights are nice for work because thats her big night. In any case going back to our model in westchester where weve been having her propane heaters up and operating for a a month not every day but when it calls for, they work amazingly well and we do now to give you the breakdown, 60 of her sales in Outdoor Dining, it was 60 last winter when the shutdown happened in march we started opening the end of march, 60 was the go business and about 40 was playing all old lost business. That was only thing the model permitted was to go, 40 50 sales down, slowly we are coming back in the segment of getting the casual dining and i do believe in propane heaters are dining outside and people will do it as we can do things as they want to do as many others, those who have no choice will sit outside bundled up in the heaters work amazingly well, it goes right over your table. David ive got to goes in, sorry we ran out of time, hope is not a strategy, that is in my mind forever. Thats why i remember what you had to say. We got a lead. Take care. Well be right back.
