Of come night chinese . We have Monica Crowley coming up the deadly fires, how much of the carnage could have been avoided well have liz peek on that. And so much more on making money. Charles so far the markets have begun the week on a very solid footing after seven sessions of wild gyrations. The result though on fridays session might have been the basis for todays rebound. You have a couple wall street firms think the selling is over but for two different reasons. Goldman thinks the selloff hit a normal 7 pullback. Deutsche bank says the put call ratio about options have come back to a normal position. Either way the stocks are coming back with assist from positive news on the coronavirus front, then we have megamergers. Is the worst over . I want to bring in kevin kelly, moneymap e map chief investment strategist Shah Ghailani and Gibbs Wealth Management president erin gibbs. Let me start with you, erin. Is the worst over . I think the worst of multiday declines, 11 drop is over. However i think we should be ready for a roller coaster. The vix is very close to 30, staying over 25. Typically what we look for in the future. Which means, i dont want to get too technical, generally the market will move 1 1 3 a day on average. Those are big day moves. So you might get a couple two or three days where it is down half a percent and it pops back up and right now the it is telling us this will not stop until the election. So just be prepared for a role every coaster. But i think the worst on the downside, yes, is over. Charles all right. So buckle up, boys and girls. Meantime, shah, you say there is no concrete proof that the worse is over. What exactly do you need to see . Well, first of all, charles, i see the breakdown really in all of the major indices and this is the first time they have really been challenged since the march lows, especially the nasdaq having fallen into correction territory very quickly is way outside the uptrending channel in terms of technicals. I think it has a long way to go before it gets back up and recovers. Into this well have to see Retail Investors come back in to buy this dip. They have been the driving force behind this market ascent. If they dont come in to buy the dip, yes theyre buying some today, but theyre really nibbling around the edges. The market opened up higher. They havent had a chance to buy today. Im apprehensive of this rally to see if this rally that were seeing today has legs. Charles right. Kevin, youve been really bullish throughout all of 2020, particularly at the moments almost everyone else was afraid. Were you shaken up at all in the last couple weeks . No, not at all. I actually think it was basically a great entry point for long term investors, especially in names you can know and love. Especially a name like nvidia. You could have bought as much as you want on friday 485 a share. Look at it today, right . It has great longterm growth ahead of it, not only what their core competency in the gpus but cpu market if the deal is done with arm holdings. You know it, was just, a normal, seasonality, september, october, heightened volatility types but you know what . Great entry point if you have a Shopping List which i did and i was buying. Charles all right, great. Speaking of nvidia, this is part of a series of megamergers announced, 70 billion, nvidia, 40 billion, gilead had 21 billiondollar deal, verizon a 6 billiondollar deal. Nvidia i think it is the most important name in the semiconductor world but there are a lot of new names emerging in technology. I think it is changing the whole outlook. Shah, youve been really good on some of these. I know you like nvidia. There are other names household names should be in peoples portfolios . There is nothing that im looking at right now, only reason being i think the ones that i have interest in, had interest in are really a little overpriced. Again if im looking for a bit of a pullback which i am, five, perhaps, as much as 10 , some of those new names might be enticing. Up here all of the new names i like are way overbought. Again, i just think that the timing is tough to get in now. Charles all right. Folks i want to talk about the cpi report, Consumer Price index. Came out on friday. Here is the interesting thing. For the most part we always talk about with respect tote federal reserve, inflation, maybe the feds ability to hold down rates indefinitely. But also for me, its a guide to investing. Think about things going up in price, how it relates to the stock market. Sewing machines up 15 last month. Look at michaels, up 28 last month. Men and Womens Clothing up five 1 2, 4. 9 respectively. Pbh has been the biggest winner for weeks. Capri is hot. Used car sales, forget about it, the highest monthly gain since 1969. Carmax has done pretty well. Rental cars written off because of the big bankruptcy, avis was looking phenomenal. Rental car prices up 4. 6 last month. 4 in the month before. I always say Pricing Power, that is what drives stocks. So im curious, erin, Pricing Power for some of the names that youre looking at that may be worth a, our viewers to take a look at . One, i think it is twofold. One, think of it is as moving to the suburbs, what do you need in the suburbs . Car obviously. That is one of the big ones. Home is where the money is, anything that is home, you cannot buy, home depot so so back ordered so hard to buy some basic things. Then Pricing Power is also, really getting things down to it is actual materials. You cannot get new lamiger. Some new lumber. Guys in pickup trucks go to chicago to go find lumber. When it comes to anything related to home improvement, construction, materials, for those components, all of those are really strong with Pricing Power right now. I dont see that trend changing in the next 12 months. Shortly quickly, home depot, lowes, sherwinwilliams, these are really, lennar homes are related to that, this new normal of do it yourself and homeownership. Charles right. I agree 1000 . In fact those are the two strongest groups on friday. They look great again today. You like one much these spacs, one has Pricing Power, people should look at it. It has been a hot market for blank checks. One of the best ones that i think is going to happen in 2020, when lca, will turn into Golden Nugget online gaming. They focus on the igaming aspect, table games, slots. Tillman fertidas company spun out, online form. Important to note theyre profitable unlike draftkings which had a similar situation where it went via ipo a spac. Now trading up 400 or what have you. Charles phenomenal. This is the way to go. It will happen in the next couple weeks, to have that catalyst. Charles if they can follow draftkings which broke out last week, up again huge today, or penn gaming forget about it. People will make a ton of money. Shah, you talked about overall these investors coming back into the market. What is really interesting for all the hype about how individual investors have been in, i think people would be surprised to know that Stock Ownership still has not recovered. Are we going to take President Trump . Has still not recovered from Great Recession highs of 60 . I think it is going to recover. Charles hold on a second, folks. Lets take President Trump for one second. He has just arrived. Well take President Trump. Well be right back. President trump obviously Forest Management in california is very important and now it extends to washington and extends also to oregon. It has to be good, strong, Forest Management which ive been talking about for three years with the states. So hopefully they will start doing that. Meantime were helping them up out in very big way. We have the best people in the world doing this. We have all of our people from fema. We have Law Enforcement here. We have the army corps of engineers. We have basically some other military and military operatives that do this. And im going to meet with the governor right now, gavin newsom. We worked very well together. I approved the Emergency Declaration as you know and i think well have a very good meeting. I think you will be able to go in, take a few pictures, a shot. We may or may not keep you there. As far as im concerned i would be okay with it but maybe, maybe the state would rather not have that and that is okay with me too. So were going in right now. Then were going as you know to arizona. Were meeting with a very great group of people, hispanic people, who have done really well and they understand exactly whats happening and weve had tremendous support as you know and you can see, from probably everything including polls. I dont give a lot of significance to polls even though weve been getting very good polls. We just to the a very good one from rasmussen as you probably saw. And we certainly got a very good one from within the republican party, 95 to 96 . So were going to do our meeting now with the state officials including the governor. And then i will see you in a little while. Ultimately, were also giving seven medals to seven great, really heroes, really, truly heroes. I look forward to doing that. Well be doing that. Well have a little bit after press conference inside. Okay. Reporter what would you like to see specifically done on the issue of Forest Management and it is possible, Forest Management and Climate Change, it is both things . I think something is possible. I think a lot of things are possible but with regard to the forests, when trees fall down after a short period of time, about 18 months, they become very dry, really like a matchstick and they get, you know, there is no more watering pouring through, they become very, very, they just explode, they could explode. Leaves, when you have years of leaves, dried leaves on the ground, it sets it up, really a fuel for the fire. So they have to do something about it. They also have to do cuts. People dont like to do cuts, they have to do cuts in between. So if you do have a fire, it gets away, you will have a 50yard cut in between. So it wont be able to catch to the other side. They dont do that. If you go to other countries, go to austria, go to finland, many different countries, they dont have i was talking to a head after major country and he said were a forest nation. We consider ourself a forest nation this was in europe. I said that is a beautiful term. He said we have trees far more explosive, he meant explosive in terms of fire but we have trees that are far more explosive than they have in california and we dont have any problem because we manage our forests. So we have to do that in california too. So i will go do. Well see you in a little while. Thank you. Reporter mr. President , you mentioned about Forest Management charles all right. Folks, President Trump just arriving in california. He will be meeting with gavin newsom about those raging forest fires, just now really expressing really in depth knowledge of the issues there with respect to the forest fires. Seems like were on the verge, we should have a very good meeting with both gentlemen. Hopefully well hear more. He will get a briefing about the California Wildfires a lot of folks are wondering though, how much the state might have made itself more vulnerable for destruction with the slew of out of date regulations and selfdefeating policies . Liz peek will weigh in on that right after the break. Oracle emerging as the winner as a partner with tiktok. Will the deals terms work for President Trump . I will ask Monica Crowley from the Treasury Department at 2 20. . Overdid what . Well planned, well invested, well protected. Voya. Be confident to and through retirement. This was the theater i came to quite often. The support weve had over the last few months has been amazing. Its not just a work environment. Everyone here is family. If you are ready to open your heart and your home, check us out. We thought for sure that we were done. And this town said not today. He will receive an update on these devastating wildfires that have been burning in california, oregon and washington in at least 35 people have died in the fires as thousands of homes have been destroyed. Foxs Christina Coleman is in monrovia, california, where the bobcat wildfire is raging nearby. Christina . Reporter hi, charles. Yeah, this bobcat fire is going strong. More than 800 firefighters are working it right now. A lot of them are out in the mountains that you see behind me. There is the u. S. Forest service as well. You have a number of trucks driving by, trying to clear out dry brush in this area. This fire is one of 94 that is burning in the west right now. The bobcat fire has gotten larger since saturday, burning more than 36,000acres, and forcing more evacuations, the scorched land makes up some three million acres recently burned in california alone. At least 24 people have died from the fires in this state as crews work tirelessly to try to get the fires under control. President trump as weve just seen is in sacramento. He is about to get briefed on the wildfires with California Governor Gavin Newsom and other local, state and federal officials. Meantime smoke pollution is a big concern. The air quality has ranged from unhealthy to hazardous. The west has the worst air quality in the world as fires ripped through washington state, california and oregon. Recovery missions are underway in oregon where 10 people have died and more people are still missing. Fastspreading wildfires completely wiped out some small towns in oregon, forcing half a Million People to evacuate. Many returning to their homes to find nothing but rubble. Ive never seen the last few years, i mean, we pray now, gosh darn it, we were lucky we would get through this summer with no fires. Well, you know, i, there is something going on, that is for sure, man, because its one thing after another. Every summer were burning up. Reporter also more red flag warnings are in effect for much of the west as more dry and windy conditions are expected over the next few days. Charles . Charles thank you very much, christina. Mean while democratic president ial nominee joe biden also addressing the wildfires today but from delaware. Biden blaming Climate Change for the raging fires but a scathing article in the economist says, quote, much of californias mess is of its own making. It has made itself more vulnerable with a litany of out of date regulations and selfdefeating policies. Joining me Fox News Contributor liz peek. Liz, when i see an article like that from the economist, which is very leftleaning, would make any excuse possible when it can, it really gets my attention. And they lay it out there. All of the things that people complained about in california years and it keeps coming back to haunt the state and its citizens. It is really scary now. There is no question, charles. This is a tragedy, several decades in the making, and it isnt to do with Climate Change. It has to do with bureaucratic bungling. You have two things going on. One, beginning, several decades ago a cutback in Timber Harvesting or logging in california which really reached a crescendo, if you remember, 2008 courts shut down log, you guessed it, the spotted owl. That is one big problem. Secondly they scent maintained their forests. Every reason to think trump is right, this really can be solved. In fact in 2019, january, trump signed an executive order encouraging better Forest Management. And by the way gavin newsom also went along with that. They know this is not Climate Change. This is a reluctance to get in there, spend the money, not just Timber Harvesting, but also clearing out all the brush, as trump said, acts like a fuel. Charles right. By the way there is a second element which is the state allowed just unmitigated development in areas where there is a highrisk of fires. So 10 years ago, 20 years ago, would you have fires like this and very few homes would burn but now you have 11 million californians living in areas that are highrisk. That is unconscionable. That should have never happened. Charles it really shouldnt have. By the way, trivia for you. The spotted owl is almost extinct anyway. Apparently it has a larger cousin that has moved it out. It moved into its nest and actually killed off the smaller spotted owl. All of those logging jobs, other things happened because of misguidedness is crazy. Before i let you go, what do you think then, why, if everyone knows all of these things, i mean, listen joe biden, this kind of works for his campaign which is now supposedly going to spend over five trillion dollars in part to address Climate Change, but why arent the locals doing more about this . Is there some Political Force pushing back . Look the green act at this hacktivism in california is a huge local power. If you read he letters being written by logging interests, guys who made their living like this for many, many years, they will tell you that for example, in that, near that creek fire there are about 800 to 900 trees growing per acre where there should have been 200. I mean these are obvious things that everybody knows. It is no big secret. But guess what . It is election season and they can blame President Trump for yet one more thing when this time it is Climate Change and wildfires in california. Its a political hot potato. Charles sometimes we got to put the blame game on the shelf and just address the needs of people. Thank you very much. You would think. Charles meanwhile, folks, oracle confirming the deal for tiktok but what does the Trump Administration make of the deal . I will ask Monica Crowley from the Treasury Department. Shes next. The founders and owners of the first black owned Stock Exchange explain why they made it happen and explain its benefits. Well be right back. Charles from stimulus to shutdown washington, refusing to get its act together on another Coronavirus Relief bill and now, well the Government Shutdown possibly looms. The congress and white house poised to start talks next week, this week actually. Joining me assistant secretary for public affairs, Monica Crowley. Great seeing you. Your boss Steve Mnuchin says there wont be a shutdown. How does he make this happen because the politics seems to be frothy right now . Great to be back, charles, always nice to see you. Secretary mnuchin has been speaking to Speaker Pelosi about a variety of things, particularly the continuing resolution. They hope to get that done by the end of this week. They hope to do a clean cr to make sure the government does not shut down. Charles i want to ask you about the white house reviewing the oracletiktok deal. It is not a takeover per se. What should they expect to go through . I will point out reuters saying this deal would create 25,000 new jobs in the united states. How would that influence the decision . Well i want to be very careful here, charles, because things are very fluid and obviously very sensitive but over the weekend we did receive a proposal that includes oracle as the trusted Technology Partner for tiktok and oracle did make some representations to address the National Security issues involved. They also made a commitment to create a u. S. Based company out of this with a commitment to create 20 and 25,000 new jobs. Our top priority is of course National Security and protecting americans data out of this. Charles right. So the next step in this process will be a cfius review. The committee on Foreign Investment in the, in the united states. They will review this. Then there will be a National Security review. It will be all reviewed with the president and a recommendation to him will be made. Charles meantime tell us, please, about this new National Strategy to help improve Financial Literacy among americans . Thank you for asking about that, charles, because it is a really important issue. Financial capability is directly linked to personal freedom. Its a door that leads to Economic Opportunity and the fulfillment of the american dream. That is why from day one the Trump Administration has been committed to expanding Financial Education to every american. Today the Financial Literacy and education commission, or flec, chaired by the treasury secretary will be releasing a report. That is a National Strategy. That National Strategy is committed to strengthening efficacy programs across all our participating agencies. Also implementing really best of class Financial Education tools to every american and setting new standards. So were very proud of it and particularly in this covid, postcovid era, we want to make sure we help every american with Financial Education, overcoming economic setbacks and also Building Financial resilience. It is very critical. Charles right. Monica, amen. Amen. Im so glad you guys are tackling that and its a pleasure to see you. Thank you very much. Thank you, charles. Charles speaking of which, folks, there is a new Stock Exchange coming next year and it will be the first to be blackowned and operated but that is not the only thing that will really make this special. Joining me now, the founders of the dream exchange, bill ellison and joe sekala, on how it works. First of all, guys, how will this Exchange Work and of course, how will you bring companies to it . So, i dont know, if i will go first, bill. The dream exchange will be another National Market system exchange. Just like any other Stock Exchange will work, with one very distinct difference. That is all of our marketing and our, all of our strati strategies in existens right now are targeting the underserved communities. That the black communities and all communities. Were looking for opportunities for Companies Listen to help the underserved areas of our society. Were dedicated to that. Charles as i researched this, i saw where one of the things that stood out to me is that 92 of the job creation associated with these companies comes after the initial Public Offering which is why it is so critical to get this done . Yes. Thats, that is a statistic from the ipo task force from the department of the treasury, for more than 10 years ago. When you factor that in, with the fact that there is only been one blackowned Company Listed on the new york Stock Exchange in its 230 history, you can kind of extrapolate that job growth in certain communities has been underserved and i think this is a genuine solution to creating jobs and meaningful careers. Charles i apologize for having to cut this short. Weve got breaking news. Weve got to go to President Trump. Well be bringing you back on to further discuss this. President trump soon after the event i will present the distinguished flying cross to seven military heroes who recently braved raging fire and suffocating smoke to save lives. So we have seven people that were recommended very strongly by your representatives and were giving them a very nice medal, a very important medal, a u. S. Medal that is very powerful and very important. So i know you like that. Together well keep the people safe. I want to thank the governor the job he has done. We had great coordination. Great relationship. I know we come from different sides of the planet but we actually have very good relationship, good man. And governor, would you like to Say Something . Great to have you back here in the state, mr. President. Thank you for being here in particular with two of the coast guard aircrafts that were now bringing into the California Family that have been retrofitted c130s. Just an example, another example of the partnership between the federal government and the state of california. That partnership of course extended with the incredible collaborative spirit of fema. Fema has done an amazing job. He is known by his first name as pete in the state of california. Bob fenton, his regional director. Were joined by tom porter, chief of calfire. Head of Natural Resources wade charles as you can see, President Trump talking now with local officials. Well continue to dip in as we hear something substantive or potential news. Meantime, big news that many of you know about. The burbs, theyre absolutely exploding. The wild growth were witnessing changing the demographics of americas suburbs. While President Trump is working to expand his base, latino advocates are warning the Democratic Party that theyre not doing enough to court this key deem graphic. Since 2000, population of has increased 25 . Millenials, the population grown far less than they have in urban areas. All the young kids want to be in the cities. However amid the pandemic, millenials are starting to join this mass exodus. We have sam debianchi, debianch real estate. How is this impacting your industry. Let me say, millenials like money. They like it more than any other generation. They like making it. That is your show, making money with charles payne. That is what we like to do. Millenials make up 38 of the home buying pool. We make up about 25 of the homebuyers. Were really driving the Housing Market as a whole. So many are moving to the suburbs. Why . They were living in the stiff centers, new york city, san francisco. They were spending all their money on rent but the plus about rent something that you can also save because youre not putting money into a down payment. So now that they can work from home, they can move out to the burbs. They can lower the cost of living, put a down payment on a home, more space and work from home. You have the second type of millenial were seeing all throughout the country, especially here in south florida, the millenials who bought their first home maybe for 400,000, 500,000, 300,000. Because weve seen across the country home prices have gone up by 8 . I mean thats, that is a huge number, theyre able to not only take out that equity that they have gotten from, you know, years before but now theyre putting more money into their pocket and theyre buying their upgrades. Theyre on their second home, some are even on the third home. Charles right. Here in south florida, theyre even buying Million Dollar homes. Charles you know, sam, one of the things im curious about, particularly in this sort of political atmosphere are these millenials sort of bringing the big city sentiment with them . Are they okay . You said they like money. Are they okay with building lowIncome Housing in the same neighborhoods theyre making these investments in . I think low Income Housing in the suburbs is inevitable. When and where and how i think that is still up to the question. I think the trend well see we saw very early on in 2012, there was this big trend with lennar and the home within a home where multigenerational housing. So again, obviously as home prices go up there is an affordability issue. If you can even find a home, you want to make sure you can afford it. So you will see mom and dad, maybe grandma, grandpop, living in the home. While not glamorous, these homes are being built in such a way you have separate entrances, separate masters, separate living rooms. You can bring you will at incomes into one. You can live comfortably and still have your privacy. I think well definitely see more of that as we continue to see home prices own the rise. Charles all right. I appreciate you taking time for us bah i know youre counting money hand over fist with all the business that you have. Always. Well see you real soon, sam. Thanks. Charles nasdaq having a pretty good rebound from its worst week since march. What is in store for the markets as the tech ipo boom is unleashed . You need to know about the stocks. Apple will have announcement tomorrow. There is no iphone expected. Can the Company Still wow investors . It is having a tough time today. Well have a preview when we come back got very quiet. Some lost work and invented new ways to get by. Others were busier than ever, and found strength they never knew they had. We sheltered with the people who matter most, sometimes finding how far apart wed drifted. We worried over loved ones, over money, over our planet. And over takeout. And we found a voice one the noise out there had kept quiet. When the world starts spinning again, lets remember this time where none of us felt secure, and fight for a future where everyone can. Because when the world seems like its standing still. Thats the perfect time for us to change it. And now your copilot. Still a father. But now a friend. Still an electric car. Just more electrifying. Still a night out. But everything fits in. Still hard work. Just a little easier. Still a legend. Just more legendary. Chevrolet. Making lifes journey, just better. So youre a small bor a big one. You were thriving, but then. Oh. Ah. Okay. Plan, pivot. How do you bounce back . You dont, you bounce forward, with serious and reliable internet. Powered by the largest gig Speed Network in america. But is it secure . Sure its secure. And even if the power goes down, your connection doesnt. So how do i do this . You dont do this. We do this, together. Bounce forward, with comcast business. Charles tech investors, listen up. This week four unicorn startups will make publiclytraded debuts followed by several more thereafter. Here to break down the big names filing for ipo is lauren simonetti. Lauren. Lauren, hey, charles. It is back to school for ipos. 14 are expected this week alone. Led by snowflake, its a cloud data unicorn. Its valuation is pushing 30 billion. It keeps going up. It hits the market on wednesday. The other key players right here, unity software, a plaid form for 3d videogames. Jfroming from, sumo logic, provides tools and amwell. What do they have in common. They are not profitable. Investors continue to reward growth over profits. This will be a test for that strategy as well as the strength and stability of the overall market turning increasingly volatile as we turn to election day but remarkably resilient in the face of the pandemic. All in, they expect 7. 8 billion to be raised this week in ipos. That is the biggest in terms of proceeds since last may when uberwent public and it is also the biggest week since number of deals. Since 2014, that is when alibaba went public. Honestly, were just scratching the surface here. Next week we likely get palantirs direct listing. Also all the numbers i just gave you, they do not include spacs. There have been 95 special purpose acquisition or Blank Check Companies ipoing this year. So the numbers are pretty big. This is a good sign for the energy of the markets, charles. Charles certainly is. Thank you so much, lauren. For more on these ipos and the ipo madness of 2020 i will bring in Constellation Research founder ray wang. Ray, i chuckled out loud a little bit when lauren said they all had one thing in common, theyre not making any money but they are growing. 14 this week. More coming after that. I need your help. The audience needs your help. Well sift through these. Which ones should we be thinking about buying . Snowflake, definitely. I mean cloud is growing, data is growing, a. I. Is growing. This is the intersection of this and they have done a great job. The growth rates are there they are losing millions, hundreds of millions of dollars at the moment, however, they grew 173 last quarter. They have an excellent management team. Frank slutman that took service now public. He is now back. He took over from bob mooglia to bring the company into play. They have been investing a lot in sales, marketing, a lot of enterprise expenses on product but its growing. Customers see them as the future of the data warehouse, the database, the cloud. That is why customers choose them. Snowflake is deferral there, compared to palantir. Charles you know, okay. I want to get to palantir in a minute which is getting a lot of scrutiny. I think some of it is politically driven. I think there was a hit job i think on peter thiel but inevitably there will be more comparisons to the dotcom bubble, right . All the ipos are going public. Can you distinguish between this batch much ipos and what weve seen in 2020 from the peak of the market back then . Yeah. There is a big difference. Back then every category had at least 20 competitors. There wasnt any real revenue. They didnt really have customers the way we do today. These are enterprise ipos which on the snowflake side and palantir side, right, these are different. Sumo logic, they have real businesstobusiness customers. Theyre growing at doubledigit rates. They have real sales teams and revenues. Unity side, that is another great one. Theyre the game engine. Theyre like adobe and autodesk for video and augmented reality and mixed reality. That is another one. Fast growth, a lot of customers. Theyre essential in every one of their Digital Media capacity and theyre also another good one were seeing as well. So this is very different than the frothy, hey, sock puppets consumers ipos that were happening earlier. Charles there have been adjustments, right . You mentioned augmented reality. 34 years ago it would be the hottest stock in the world. It has lost over 90 of its value. Before i let you go on palantir, are you concerned about it because of the Business Model or because it is just so, peter thiel and Silicon Valley and of course his involvement with the government, his support of trump is that going to hurt the stock . So the issue with palantir, take the politics out of it, it is really about the Business Model.
