So let me start by asking you this, when we look at this controversy right now, a lot of the focus seems to be on the Postal Service, but of course theyre saying, look, we can deliver the ballots, shouldnt the focus really be on the states in the president is making the case there is potential for voter fraud here. The states isnt necessarily count those ballots on time and make sure those folks arent voting twice. I dont disagree we that at all. Listen, out in california here for decades weve been using absentee ballot. I vote absentee. Its more vehement. I fill out a form, im accountable. And, of course, maybe its 40 or 50 of the ballots in california thatll be doing that. This year though because the politicians see it maybe as an advantage, although, frankly, in california its worked to the advantage of republicans, but maybe they see it as an advantage to have this frenzy and have this counting nightmare go on can on. Go on and on. Theyre going to mail 21 million ballots out in california. Theres a lot of those ballots that are going to end up two knows where. Not only that, we have ballot harvesting that they experimented with in 2018, and there were endless reports of people filling out ballots for other people. Listen, jackie, im a businessman, i want this run well. And for that we need to make sure we have results soon and that people feel their ballot was counted appropriate lu. Its well to point out, jackie, that in south korea on april 15th interesting day they held an election with 40 or 50 million south koreans, and the turnout was incredible. But it was mostly done in person. Im questioning why the frenzy was develop to try to do this entire huge mailin thing. Frankly, the president right a little bit. You know, we had bush v. Gore years ago where it was decided by just a few hundred ballots. We could have that situation in this evenlydivided population in michigan, wisconsin, ohio, North Carolina, a lot of statements. And that means states. And that means those states all have to sit there and go through all these mailed ballots. It could be a long, drawnout process. The lawyers will get rich are. There are so many people who are living their lives, theyre going out, going on vacation, doing all kinds of things, theyre going to the groce true store every day amongst other citizens. Its really these registrars who are going to be overwhelming with these numbered of ballots. Jack jack what i found appalling in the astronaut of new jersey where i have family who sent me copies, they ask you to fill out the ballot, and then theres a portion that says that you certify that you asked for out. Well, nobody in new jersey asked for it. They all received one of these. Its really outrageous when you think about it. It really is. And, you know, youve got to question, so why did a lot of these state rush to do this 100 mailin . What was their ulterior motive . Decide they really think there was going to be this inability to count the ballots, or did they think there was a chance theyd be able to game the election in frankly, inperson balloting is a smart way to do it unless absentee. Again, i applied, i can be traced for that. Absentee ballots have been used effectively but never have we had a mailin on this level. And this is a very important election. It really the future of this country at stake, and i think we all owe it to ourselves to make sure its done appropriately and honestly and validly so that we know the answer as quickly as we can. Durhams been at it since may. Some reports say it could come by labor day but others expect durham will wait until after the november election to avoid the appearance of political influence. Well, of course, we wont know that until those prosecutions are brought, but this is significant because its the first, its a felony plea. That makes it significant. It was against a lawyer whos going to lose his law license as a result of this, and it came directly out of fbi headquarters to the general counsels office in connection with a review of material that was ultimately submitted to the fisa court for application to intercept the communications of carter page. All of those things make it significant and also are indicateoff of the fact that this is the first but not the end. So i think what i expect to see in the coming weeks and i think before the election is that you are likely to see other prosecutions as well. Jackie and presumably his hands were tide. Thats why he pled guilty here. Im wondering if at this point pleading guilty means that hes cooperating, perhaps, with durham. Thats impossible to know at this point. I mean, he seemed to suggest during the plea allocution before the judge that while he admitted and acknowledged that he altered an email to change its meaning, hes suggesting that he didnt have Knowledge Beyond that in terms of any intent to deceive the court. If the prosecution let him get away with that statement, that would not be particularly helpful relative to his potential cooperation against anybody else. So i suspect that this is a oneoff, but it doesnt mean that thats the end of the investigation. Far from it. I think this is just the beginning of holding those accountable who were responsible for what ultimately was a wire talking about application that was based on false information and false information that people apparently at fairly high level within the Justice Department and the fbi knew it was false.
