Charles of course, rob, we havent gotten 5 pullback, almost 3, 4 , we are at alltime highs, thursday we went to alltime highs, so we get the one or two day pullbacks im not sure rob can hear me, i will stay with use, scott, until his gets ear piece fixed. It is more than it is, thats not even a full percentage point, what about the idea this is reality, scott, looks scarier than it really is and when you look around we could be at alltime high next monday or tuesday. Yeah, thats exactly it, charles, i think the big issue thats pressuring the market right now the coronavirus, its infiltrating everything, if you look at the dollar, money rushing into treasuries, the safety thats creating headwinds, charles, when you look at the market and you compare like Something Like sars, even with sars which may have been lighter issue than coronavirus, we had 8 and a half, 9 pullback, we havent received anything than 3 pullback here, on the 19th, 2 days ago we were hitting alltime highs, we are only 1 and a half percent, if youre an investor right here you have to be prepared for 10 pullback, to scotts point its probably time to lighten up if youre longterm investor you dont go off to cash but you have to expect the market to pull in a little bit right here, raise cash and be tactical, if you get, 7, 8, 9 pullback, thats time to get more aggressive. Now, the same big money investors trying to navigate the markets, well, they just happen to be in the crosshairs of Bernie Sanders, even Elizabeth Warren. The pair making it a point to target the rich and successful and how they actually make their money, and the big question is capitalism so unfair we need to ditch it or does it need some kind of major makeover . I would like to bring in robert wolf. Robert, we saw it on display at the debates and you know, of course, bernie just wants to upend the system completely. All the candidates out there are attacking it to a degree, more or less saying capitalism, theres something wrong with capitalism the way we practice it right now. Yeah. As you know, im a capitalist. Let me just make that point. Yeah, i think there always needs to be changes in a free market system. Regulation has to take is something that we need at times more than others and government involvement is something we need at times more than others. I would say to President Trump, is a farm bailout democratic socialism . You know, those are the types of things that there are times government is good and there are times we say government, stay out. So im not surprised, you know, im a reagan democrat from the 80s. Trickle down economics worked back then. You and i would have a disagreement that its working today. Charles well, why isnt it working today . If wages particularly in the last year and a half have gone up faster for the lower economic rungs, if Home Ownership is starting to go back up, if job security is there, why isnt it not working . So i would say we should put in quotes what working means. If you look at wages going up, the last three years of president obama, it went up 1. 8 , inflation adjusted. Under President Trump, the last three years it went up. 8 . So let me just finish so what i would say if you look at inflation adjustment over just the last 12 months, its gone up 17 cents per hour. Thats not really people doing better. Lets look at health care. Health care under noninsured health care is down by three Million People. Those three Million People arent feeling better off. They are paying more for their health care charles i can say this, though. In polls people are saying theyre feeling better off. The gallup poll last week, 90 of people said their own lives, they felt satisfied with it. Even the michigan, university of Michigan Sentiment reading, democrats opinions on the economy has gone up significantly. By the way, i think the economy is doing better. What im challenging you on is what does it mean to be working. Charles well, it means when people say its working, its working and when the numbers say its working, its working. Charles charles you mean to tell me a democrats going to come in and be able to get wages up more significantly more than we have seen under trump . I didnt say that. Im just talking, we are just actually having a respectful disagreement on what working means. Thats all. Charles im not. You are. This is your topic, working. Im telling you its working. I mean, its irresponsible as a political class, as a party, to always suggest that somehow they are going to come in and things that are good, you know, we are moving in the right direction. I would agree with that. I agree with that. But i think there is a disagreement you and i have what is working. I would say right now, health care is not working for most people. Thats a given fact. Charles obamacare was supposed to fix that. Right, but lets be clear, under whats happening with the Trump Administration, the inflation of medicine has gone up higher. Pharmaceutical prices have gone up higher. I mean, its just not accurate to say that this administration has done a good enough job. Charles they have been pretty vocal about i respectfully disagree. Charles they have been pretty vocal against it. The midterms spoke pretty loudly on that one because 40 seats flipped red to blue. [ speaking simultaneously ] as well as two governorships in red states that took place recently. Charles robert, robert, that was significantly less than the first midterm under president obama. Remember the quote, unquote, shellacking. Im not debating president obama. Charles why are democrats against capitalism . Im not against capitalism. I think actually im to the right of where this Trump Administration has been on fiscal responsibility. I would say there are some that are definitely too populist for me, as you know i have not supported charles got to leave it there. We will come back and talk about it.
