Its not a job they that would interest he me, not one that i would accept. Im running a senate race in georgia. They know im a supporter of the president. Im running against a senator that decided to support the president four weeks before the appointment. The seat could be in jeopardy because of the flaws she has. Im a supporter of this president. Ill continue to fight for this president. The Intelligence Community has to get right. Im sure the president will pick somebody appropriate for the job. I want to talk about that. You say that youre not interested in the dni position. But you know congressman, something needs to be done to clean up these agencies. Theyve all been politicized, whether its the cia, the fbi, or just the Intel Committee whered adam schiff can be looking at the same exact information that John Ratcliffe and devin nunes are looking at and they have completely different narratives. We heard adam schiff say that donald trump colluded with the russians and the collusion was quote, unquote, in plain sight, something the media refuses to push adam schiff on. Theyre not going to push adam schiff. All hell do is tell more lies and make up stories. He has a narrative he doesnt like the president , he has a narrative that he wants the president to fail. We looked at this and he devin nunes and i sent a letter to chairman nadler about the fisa issue that a we have before us right now in the horowitz report which showed the fatal flaws we see in the fisa process, especially when it comes to attacking american citizens like carter page, will we see the fake dossier . This should have not gotten there, should have had more checks and balances. Going back to 2016, were looking at the corruption of comey and page and strzok and mccabe and brennan and clapper, its time we continue this process of cleaning this out and thats what were still doing every day as Ranking Member right now of the Judiciary Committee. It needs to be exposed. We cant let another president go through what weve seen because its just wrong. Our intelligence communities need to be arbiters of whats going on in the world and keep us safe, not getting political dirt on a president a that they dont like. This has got to stop. You cant make up stories that President Trump colluded when its absolutely not true and then get the entire country in hysteria. Let me ask about this letter that you and Ranking Member devin nunes sent to the house judiciary chairman, jerry nadler, urging him to not miss this opportunity to amend fisa as the march 15th deadline approaches. What do you want to see different in terms of fisa. The doj told us that two of the four warrants used to spy on carter page were unlawful. By the way, they didnt say the first two were lawful. Theyre still looking at the first two. So it may well be at the end of the day all four warrants on carter page were unlawful. Well, i think they have a lot of problems to answer with most of those warrants. I think this is why its important to me. I want to know why chairman nadler is scared to have a hearing with mr. Horowitz. Why is he scared to talk about the findings. We had director wray in the other day who dealt with it from his perspective, talking about what the report said. I want mr. Horowitz to come in. We can do the hearings on fisa in public and do classified hearings. Hes not willing to answer the deeper question on what needs to happen in the fisa courts. I think he doesnt want to show what happened under the Obama Administration and the corruption that took place and plight says polticization that took place. It says you cant have a corrupt process and go to reauthorize this without taking on the findness the reports from horowitz and say weve got to make changes. The American People must know the he secret courts are not attacking americans based on faulty paid for by the dnc information information to takek the president. Maria how can people have confidence that you will lead a cleanup of this. How can we trust the doj and intelligence agencies knowing theyve been completely politicized and used for political reasons. Hillary clinton paid for the dossier that was used to frame donald trump. It was used to get these warrants to spy on his campaign. Well, the president s got a lot of choices to make there. Hell make a great one. The acting grinnell will be great. We are now in the full blown National Security crisis by trying to prevent the flow of intelligence to congress. Donald trump trump is abetting n brennan is still at it. Hes trying to go down fighting. This man has so politicized other country. Hes the problem were seeing right now. Hes the face of him and clapper and comey standing in the middle of woods looking at trees that he tweets about. These are people that put their interest before the american interest. Vallow was arrested in hawaii late yesterday on multiple charges following the disa appearance of her two children. Joshua vallow and tylee ryan missing since september. Lori vallow now hours away from facing a judge. Joining me now on the phone is crime stories with nancy grace host, nancy grace. Nancy, thanks for joining me this morning. Tell us what happens next. This is what we know. We know shes been arrested on multiple charges. Just to give you an idea on one of these charges of felony desertion of children, theres a maximum of 14 years behind bars, a maximum for one count of that. Shes been arrested on felonies. Thats whats confounding everyone is why she hasnt been arrested if her children cant be found. They needed a felony in order to extradite her back from hawaii. You cant extradite someone based on a misdemeanor or contempt of court charge. There had to be a felony and it took time to work up a felony. They did it. Shell be facing a judge. I predict she will not make bond, not get out behind bars until she tells the court where those children are. Maria what is her explanation for going to ah ha which which and what about her to what which you which. What about her husband, they fled last fall with no sign of her children. Daybell evaded all questions from the police. Do you know what shes saying with regard to the fact her kids are missing and the two of them are in ah h in hawaii. They got married and they had a seaside wedding. Theres pictures of them doing the hula while nobody could find their children. Theres a lot to answer up to. Not only where the children are, but what happened to her husband, Charles Vallow and his wife, both dead before these two get married. Theres another can of worms. Right now the courts going to be asking about the children and there are multiple charges including obstruction of the police and their investigation of where the children are. We also find out that her daughter, tylees cell phone was with lori vallow. So that makes me thinks the texts that the daughter sent back in september were really from her mother, that paint a nefarious picture of where the children are. Maria what about the spouses that you mentioned . How much a consideration is the fact that theyre dead . You know what . Those are just two dead bodies connected to this couple. There are others, such as loris brother, alex cox. It just goes on and on and on. Theres multiple bodies connected to them whose circumstances of death still remain a mystery. I think right now the ultimate concern, the first concern is where are the children, are they tucked you away with this doomsday cult. You cant even write this. Its beyond fiction, its more like scifi. That will be the first concern. Whats your take on oil in terms of todays move and where its going . Absolutely, maria. Its been a demand story for the past year. We look back to 2019 and weve had numerous disruptions to the flow of oil around the globe and had no impact on price. Then we look at the loss of oil coming out of places such as iran, libya, and venezuela and once again that loss of supply has led to no impact on price. And now we get into the coronavirus and oddly enough there seems to be, maria, this narrative on wall street that oh, its not so bad, this is like sars 2003, perhaps it is. Perhaps it isnt. Right now, this market is living with every headline with regard to coronavirus over the last couple days its been a bullish driver for the market, oh, coronavirus isnt thatte bad. Question. I just looked at a stock chart of exxon. Its almost at 20year lows. Based on this selloff, would you do you start to think some of these major oil producers, distributors, if you will, are buys right here or do you think theyre going to go lower as the price of Oil Continues to drop . I do think, gary, they are going to go lower at this point. If we just look at sars back in 2003, with china demand for jet fuel, we saw a 30 drop in demand in the Second Quarter of 03 because of the lack of fliers. That was back in 2003 when china was only 4 of the global gdp. Today, china is the second largest economy at 17 of the global gdp. So any sort of Material Impact in our model suggest we will see a 25 to 30 pullback in jet fuel demand going into the peak Summer Vacation season. No, i dont think theyre a buy right now i think theres a greater risk of Oil Prices Headed lower as we see demand disruption first from the shoulder months, were into the refinery turnaround season so refineries buying fewer barrels of oil. Is it true that you have contracted the coronavirus . Yes. I came down with the virus when we landed here in omaha, they testhood me and confirmed i have the virus. Interestingly enough, i had been tested in japan a few days before we left and i just learned that came out positive yesterday. Maria how are you feeling . What are the symptoms, carl . Tell us what youre feeling. Does it feel like just an average flu or something worse . Yeah, apparently people get it in different levels. So mine is fairly mild. Its like a flu, but high fever that spiked very, very quickly. That seems to be the common denominator. Thats why its so pervasive out there right now is as i did, one can go for days and days not realizing you have the virus. There are no symptoms. Then all of a sudden high fever hits, for me it was about 18 hours and then it disappeared. It came back a little bit the next night. Im bummed right now because i got three days without fever and then last night it hit. Maria wow. But low grade right now. Maria Jerry Goldman, youre with us this morning as well. How are you feeling . You do not you do not think you have it, right . You can contract this even without any symptoms. You can be contagious. Yeah. So i was tested on the ship, got no results back whatsoever. Then when we got to nebraska monday morning i was tested. We found out monday night that i was clear and we are being tested both of us today again, aanxiously awaiting. Out of the 14, 11 of us that are here now, so im one of three that doesnt have it. Maria what a nightmare scenario. The two of you went on a vacation. Tell me what happened. You went on this diamond princess ship. You had to dock off the coast of japan and tell us how this all played out. Carl. Sure. It was a vacation. I had purchased a gift for my wife for christmas and for her birthday to travel through Southeast Asia on the diamond princess. We left january 17th, february e one month. That was supposed to be a 16day cruise. We enjoyed all of Southeast Asia. On the last day we we had already packed our bags, learned that a passenger who had gotten off in hong kong days earlier had had the virus. He came down with the virus. Thats why this thing, as i said earlier, is so pervasive. He came down with the virus four days after he left the ship. When he realized he had it. Maria in other words, he didnt have any symptoms, he went to hong kong, got back on the ship, he didnt have any symptoms and then four days later people were sick. Yep, and thats whats happened with everybody. Everyone we know who has gotten the virus including me has no symptoms, so youre going around in your life and like in the norm and then three, four, five days later that fever hits and thats when we realize we had the virus. The only other symptom seems to be a dry cough but i had the dry cough, my wife had a little bit of a dry cough. She was negative. Im positive. So thats not the common denominator but thats definitely one of the symptoms. Maria unbelievable. Jerry, tell us your side of this. You get this trip vacation as a gift from your husband to go be on this beautiful ship to look at Southeast Asia and this is what happens. How did it happen from your standpoint . Well, not only what that, we were with our good friends and she came down with the virus the day after valentines day. And was heart wrenching because they gave her an hour to get off the ship. She was only able to pack a backpack. That was very emotional. Do you know the time in quarantine, we had an open balcony with them from the time we got on the ship. So we were spending that time with them. We were working during the day, we would have dinner and movie at night and making the best of it. Our circumstances. And then she got taken away and then it became a whole other ballgame of holy heck. And her husband now is in california at fort travis and the state department, he did not really want to go and the state department really did not give himwe werent getting enough communication. The embassy said we would highly encourage you to leave. So part of the problem that were having is theres just so much communication and as days go on were learning that the ship wasnt contained the right way, our luggage is still lost. I mean, theres just so many Unanswered Questions that we went from okay we can get through this, were doing a really good job to wait a minute, now i want questions answer. Maria unbelievable. And when you were with this other couple, jerry, do you remember anybody coughing on you or sneezing on you or you just were next to them, breathing in the same air . Its so ironic, because out of the four of us, shes the most healthiest. Shes a mountain biker. And we had gone out, it was our third time to go on deck, because we had we were able to go outside during our quarantine on our own deck. We her and i had did three andahalf, four miles in the one hour because we wanted to move. We get back, we had to take our temperature. She had no not even feeling of a temperature, went oh, my gosh, ive got temperature. Maria wow. Crazy. Maria what are the doctors telling you now, carl . For me, theyre going to have to do two tests at the end of my stay here. So when i no longer show any signs of the virus, i look like ive recovered, getting to that 14day period, theyll do another test, they take a swab, put it down the back of my throat, they they do it in both nostrils and take that to a lab. Luckily, here, that was the problem in japan too, on the ship they were doing that and sending it to a lab in tokyo and there was a two, three, fourday process and in our case we didnt learn i was positive until yesterday. From that lab. I lanted here, landed here, the omaha hospital and the biocontainment unit theyve got a lab on the premises so in four, five hours im finding out if im positive or negative. Maria unbelievable. Theyll do that test. If i make it through negative on that, theyll test me again 24 hours later before ill be released.
