American migrants to the southern border and ill also speak with carter page live, he is at the center of the fisa abuse scandal and has new information this morning to share with us about the origins of the russia investigation and also china expert Jonathan Ward here today just how personal is it between the league of the worlds two biggest economies President Trump and chinese xijinping, all that and a lot more right now as we look ahead on sunday morning futures. We have breaking news this morning President Trump is meeting with World Leaders at the g7 in france. He met this morning with japanese Prime Minister where the two agreed in principle on a new trade deal, breaking news out of france. He also met with canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and british Prime Minister boris johnson. Just minutes from now, he will have a bilateral pullaside with australian Prime Minister scott morrison, this as we await how markets will react tomorrow, breaking news after the close on friday night when the president ramped up the trade war. The president hit back on china in response to a new round of retaliatory tariffs that sent the dow en dust are alls plummeting on friday better better than 600 points abdomen the and the president tweeted out china should not have put new tariffs on 75 billion of u. S. Product, politically motivated, the president said starting october 1 the 250 billion of goods and products from china, currently being taxed at 25 , will now be taxed at 30 . The president writes additional ly the remaining 300 billion of goods and products in china that was being taxed from september 1 at 10 will now be taxed at 15 . The president lashed out not only at china but also his own chairman of the Federal Reserve tweeting this. My only question is who is our bigger enemy jay powell and chairman x . Earlier the same day the president rattled the markets with a tweet ordering American Companies to pull out of china. He wrote this, the president said our country has lost stupid ly trillions of dollars with china over many years and they have stolen our intellectual property at a rate of hundreds of billions of dollars a year and they want to continue. I wont let it happen, writes the president. We dont need china and frankly, would be far better off without them. The vast amounts of money made and stolen by china from the United States, year after year for decades will and must stop, writes the president. He goes on to say this. Our great American Companies are hereby ordered to immediately start looking for an alternative to china, including bringing your Companies Home and making your products in the United States. That tweet prompted many to question whether the president in fact has the authority to tell American Companies on how to do business. Joining me right now is what the president said about before we go to that let me show you what the president said before he departed for france. Watch this. President trump well in 1977, we had an act passed, a National Emergency act, and have the absolute right to do that. Well see how that goes but i have the absolute right. 1977 check it out. Maria part of the language in that law describes the president s capability this way. Any authority granted to the president bisection 1702 of this title may be exercised to deal with any unusual and extraordinary threat which has its source in whole or substantial part outside the United States, to the National Security, Foreign Policy or economy of the United States, if the president declares a National Emergency with respect to such threat. We just learned the last few minutes the Iranian Foreign minister arrived at the g7 site of the invitation of the French Foreign minister although no talks were expected with the american delegation between the americans and the iranians, joining me right now to parse through all of this is Jason Chaffetz, the former House Oversight Committee Chairman hes now a Fox News Contributor and author of the new book, power grab. Jason good to see you thanks so much for being here. Good morning. Maria a lot to get through. First your reaction to this news breaking right now, which is a new trade deal with japan. Its a huge breakthrough. Its going to be great particularly in the Agricultural Sector as well as technology sector. Lets remember when Donald Trump Took Office the Major Pressure was to sign on to the Trans Pacific partnership and for those of us that were in congress at the time the pressure was if you dont do this then china will and the president argued i think successfully showing he could do it now, the bilateral trade deals would be much better off and so to do this with china is great for wheat, its great for corn, pork, its great for beef, and i think it takes a lot of pressure off what the pressure is going on to which was china, and to open up these markets even better with a better trade deal with japan, on the heels of the u. S. Mca, it puts the democrats in a terrible position politically, but its better for the economy and i think its going to be well receive on monday morning. Maria this is something that i just mentioned as i joined fox friends, the fact that the president is trying to gain as many allies as possible so that he could go up with a stronger front against china, as this fight breaks out. Will he be effective in terms of stopping china from its bad behavior with more deals in this regard and what is the next big deal . Well i think its best for both parties, china and the United States, to ratchet it down, but theyve got to have a fair and reciprocal agreement, and i think the president , for the very first time, is ic tariffing this time to china. I think everybody in their heart of hearts has known this has been a problem. The president s in the past have talked about it but donald trump is actually willing to do it, but i think a lot of pressure on this u. S. Mca politically, nancy pelosi has not brought this up for a vote, i think as you look out in the heartland, and what people are doing acrosstheboard is telling people, senator grassley, look, if you want to have success, you have to have the democrats bring up the u. S. Mca. Do that in conjunction with a pending agreement with the brits as well as japan and maybe some others the United States is in very good shape. Maria now i know that the Chinese Companies do anything the Chinese Government tells them to do. That is a communist country and i know theres a thing called Civil Military fusion in china, which Jonathan Ward is going to be with me shortly to talk about china and how its all about the military but does the president have the authority to Tell Companies in america, move out of china right now. I mean look, i know hes got Broad Authority and if you just all you have to do is look at iran, and the fact that you dont see anybody doing business with iran because of a National Security threat can he do that with china . I think its a mere suggestion at this point. I dont think it has risen to that level. People are getting caught up with this language of hereby but i dont think anybody really thinks that suddenly tomorrow they cant do business with chain a. Maria were going to talk with Jonathan Ward the author of chinas vision of victory in a few minutes to talk about whats going to happen tomorrow morning because the markets open tomorrow after we had that breaking news after the close on friday night, when the president ramped up the tariffs on china, taking it up 5 on both the tariffs that were going to go into effect september 1 as well as the tariffs already in place so well talk about that. Let me take you to domestic issues now, jason, because its been quite a week on the 2020 front. What do you think in terms of the policies that youre hearing on the left, versus what the president is trying to do, do americans understand whats at stake . I think so. I think they see a president opening up markets. This japan deal i can not impress how big that will be in the heartland. At the same time they hear the democrats talking about a green new deal, and you know, Bernie Sanders and the like talking about a 16 trillion over 10 years, 16 trillion in new spending, to try to reconfigure the entire energy sector, cows, cattle, you name it, they want to get rid of every bit of fossil fuels, and that has bled over to Elizabeth Warren, i mean all of the leading candidates out there and you have a blunder ing joe biden, i think the president is stronger politically than hes ever been. Maria joe biden keeps making ga ffes, youre right but one important point to make is the fact that the media has been basically taking a side, and theyve taken the side of the left, and thats one reason that i believe china saw the media beating up on President Trump over these last two years, as everybody was in this collusion dilution for two years, while john brennan was on msnbc saying that the president was treasonist. No wonder the chinese walked away and said do you know what were going to renig. Im not going to put into law its unlawful to steal intellectual property. Were going to be done with this guy in about a year. Thats because of the medias coverage and well talk with carter page coming up in a little will and he of course is at the center of all of this ive got to ask you your case because carter page is a former trump Foreign Policy advisor an expert on these issues and of course a government informant which he will explain to us and the government actually turned against him. Your thoughts on what we learned this weekend that in fact andrew mccabe, who was the Deputy Director at the fbi, he is currently under investigation by william barr, and hes been referred for criminal charges by the Inspector General. He just got a job as a comentator on to have on another channel. It hasnt slowed down cnn. This is a person, mr. Mccabe, who did something that almost no other federal employee has ever donald that is he actually got fired for a cause. That is, i mean to then go and be a comentator on cnn it shows up in the airports but other than that i think a lot of people do watch it international ly and i do think that the chinese and others in the Foreign Policy world look at that and they didnt think donald trump was going to survive his first term, but not only did he survive. Hes stronger politically than hes ever been and i think carter page, this was a person, at great distance, from the Trump Campaign. Yes, he was associated but it wasnt like he was core of the team and i do have to note, that the fisa applications were to go after carter page. Hes the one person that they didnt charge with anything after this all of this. Maria he has no charges, hes Walking Around a free man, yes he was wiretapped for over a year but lets not forget when you wire tap one individualist not just necessarily hearing that individuals conversation with everybody in his life. Its hearing everything hes doing, so not only were they think about that he was on a committee, for Foreign Policy advice for then candidate trump and hes having conversations with colleagues about where President Trump wants to take Foreign Policy. Thats what they were listening in on. They wanted a microphone in the Trump Campaign. They did, and the story after labor day, becomes the genesis, the origin that why did they . How did they do this . I know youve had John Ratcliffe on this program many times and John Ratcliffe has actually read the unredacted versions of this, where the top of the application says verified. And it wasnt verified. Maria that is why. Go ahead, im sorry. No, no, go ahead. Maria because John Ratcliffe has been my regular guest for the last two and a half years he educated our viewers. It was no surprise to the viewer s of sunday morning futures there was no collusion, that President Trump was framed. My viewers knew it to thanks to people like you, John Ratcliffe, devon nunes and former republican challenging President Trump in the primary. What do you think . Thats generous to say that its a challenge. I think its an absolute joke. I know the other National Media will run up on it but if he, 435 of us in the house were voting for him i dont know that hed even get a single vote so he was nice to me, auto it was polite, i served with him, shake his hand but that aint going anywhere fast. Maria all right its just a joke. Maria jason great to see you thanks so much. Thank you. Maria congressman Jason Chaffetz there. Coming up well hear from democratic congressman coming up the cochairman for Bernie Sanders president ial campaign. Youll hear just what all the priorities for democrats in the house after september. Were back in two weeks time, and well be all over it. Maria welcome back. Two more Democratic Candidates dropped out of the 2020 president ial field in the last week, as some are questioning whether the race has become really a threeway contest between joe biden, Elizabeth Warren and Bernie Sanders. In the latest fox news poll, 31 of voters threw their support behind the former Vice President senator warren came in second, with 20 , and senator sanders is now third, at 10 . Joining me right now is democratic congressman khanna of california also the cochairman of Bernie Sanders campaign. Congressman always a pleasure to see you thanks so much for joining us. Maria always a pleasure to be on the show. Maria so is that a Fair Assessment that suddenly it feels like this race is now between biden, berner and warren and if so how does bernie break out, how do you see it . Maria i think youre absolutely right. The race has come down to senator sanders, senator warren and Vice President biden. Its a threeway race. I think iowa and New Hampshire are going to matter incredibly. Bernie sanders has two advantages. One, he appeals to independent voters, and he appeals to Rural America. I seen him go into these small towns and connect. He understands there is the industrialization and he understands we need to give more Economic Opportunity for Rural Americans in communities left behind and second, hes got a great ground game if you go into iowa and New Hampshire youll see he has one of the best deals there. Yeah, and differentiating himself, from Elizabeth Warren. Shes harder left, i think, or what do you think . And tell me how his policies will be different . Well i think Bernie Sanders appeals more to independence. I think he appeals month r to rural communities. Hes talked about, for example, farmers struggling and having price pairity. Hes talked about the need to invest in the downtowns of Rural America to bring new technology, new jobs there. Hes talking about healthcare and education for folks, and hes not just slamming industry. What hes really talking about is giving people more Economic Opportunity so i think hes got a broader coalition to be able to win back the heartland. Maria let me ask you about joe biden, and whether or not youre surprised that he still is at 31 . Hes still the leader in terms of this race on the left. Hes at 31 versus warren at 20 , and sanders at 10 and he makes this gaffes, the most recent one about president obama was pretty stunning. Lets listen to that. My two political heros were Martin Martin luther king and bobby kennedy. My senior semester they were both shot and killed. Imagine what would happened if god forbid barack obama had been a sos nateed after becoming a de tact o nominee . What would have happened in america . Maria wow. Your reaction . Well, i think he regretted those comments. The Vice President has had a distinguished career in public service. Hes had two terms as Vice President. Its not a surprise that hes doing well and any time you have a twoterm Vice President and in the primary theyre going to do well but at the end of the day the Democratic Party votes for change and they say we dont want to go back to the status quo. We want to elect someone who understands that a lot of people have been left behind, and who has a new vision for how well address that and thats how ultimately i think Bernie Sanders will be the nominee. Maria i want to ask you about the news of the morning. We got breaking news that the u. S. Is doing a deal with japan in terms of trade. Your reaction to what we heard in the g7, sir . Im excited if we have gotten a deal with japan. I think that we need to be constructive about opening markets overseas. I am concerned about the situation in china, i was telling someone as if your doctor diagnosed that you have clogged arteries and then you have someone go and say lets take a chain shaw to your heart. I dont disagree with President Trumps diagnosis. China has been cheating they have intellectual property theft but the idea isnt to blow up the trade system or threaten american businesses like apple and say get out. The idea is to have investment in blockchain technology, to go after the ip theft and to be really thoughtful about how we take on china. Maria you make a really good point. When we come back i want to get your take on what your priorit ies are when you get back in washington, were going to talk with mark morgan stay with us representative. President trump i think its a very special agreement, and it replaces nafta, which is perhaps the worst trade agreement ever done, particularly within our country its the worst. Were very happy with the agreement and i congratulate you and i hope it gets done. I guess we should save the congratulations for when they vote, but hopefully thatll be put to a vote pretty soon. Maria President Trump on his bilateral meeting with canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau earlier this morning calling on congress to finally pass the u. S. Mexico trade agreement when lawmakers return from their august recess im back with california congressman khanna, a nd i want to ask you where your priorities are when you get back to work in two weeks but first are you going to vote for u. S. M ca . We made it very clear what we need to do to be able to vote for it and that the is to get rid of the pharmaceutical protection. Right now it locks in 10 years for pharmaceutical drugs, and if they didnt have that, if they take that out i could get to a yes but thats my concern with the agreement. Maria youve spoken with lighthizer in terms of taking that out . I have, a number of other members of the Democratic Caucus have spoken to him. Weve actually praised some of his work in terms of Getting Better concessions for american, woulders and we said look, youve got to take a couple more constructive steps. We want to get the yes but take this provision out that the hand out to pharmaceutical companies. Maria so what does your gut say what are the odds that u. S. Mca passes this year . I think it wont pass if they still have the pharmaceutical provision. If they take that out i think the president would get it through. Maria what are your other priorities when you get back to congress in two weeks . Maria the biggest thing i think we need to do is to create jobs jobs across this country. We can extend broadband to every part of america. China is extending it to 98 of their country. Theres no reason we cant have high Speed Internet in Rural America and communities across the country and then invest in the new industries, invest in artificial intelligence, and quantum computing, create new manufacturing jobs, across america. That i think can be bipartisan and its something i want to focus on. Maria i know that you have been really terrific when it comes to technology issues, youre backed by Silicon Valley, youre obviously representing Silicon Valley whats your take on what were hearing out of france where france wants to put a tax on Silicon Valley companies and the president is threatening to put a tax on french imports like wine, et cetera, champaign, how do you, whats your read . Maria i dont want to be flip but i cant think of a Good Technology company that france has ever produced. France is about irrelevant when it comes to technology and europe has been pretty irrelevant when it comes to technology. I dont think America Needs to listen to europe. Theyve got one company sap, where its 100 billion. Weve got trillions of dollars of companies with amazon, facebook, google so a real competition is china, but i think this Technology Area is some place we can be bipartisan. Im working with Governor Reynolds in iowa, a republican governor to Bring Technology jobs to jefferson iowa, a Rural Community and what America Needs to do is extend the Technology Revolution across communities and lead against china. Maria but france wants to put a 3 tax on any revenue that companies earn from providing Digital Services to french users the president says if you do that ill put a tax on what were buying from you like wine and champaign. Should he do it . I dont think he needs to tax wine but he should pushback against the 3 tax but let me tell you the French Market is not a big market. France would be committing Political Economic suicide if they start taxing our Technology Companies. These temperatures dont really need the French Market, so they will just go somewhere else. Im glad the president is pushing that. Maria what about devon nunes is suing twitter. What about this idea that these Technology Companies are censoring conservative conversation. Should something be done about that . I honestly dont think they are. Do you know how i know that . The biggest beneficiary of social media is President Trump. If it was really being censored he wouldnt have one of the biggest political followings. I believe if he was being honest he would tell you he wouldnt have been president if it werent for social media. Hes more sophisticated on facebook than any other candidate right now in the field , so you know weve got to get over in this country, stop bashing the media, stop bashing technology platforms. When youre a president of the United States, or youre in the United States congress, you have extraordinary power and responsibility. Its the job of people in the media to be critical, and i think the role with the punches, have your vision, get it out there but tomorrow complaining about bias and criticism. American leaders have to be tough. Maria congressman good to see you thanks so much. Good to see you. Congressman up next, mark morgan with the very latest the acting commissioner of the u. S. Customs and Border Protection is here on the administrations latest move to stem the flow of Central American immigrants with at the southern border. How soon it might be challenged in the courts were talking days , back in a minute. Liberty mutual customizes your Car Insurance, so you only pay for what you need. I wish i could shake your hand. Granted. Only pay for what you need. Liberty. Liberty. Liberty. Liberty. I come facetoface with a lot of behinds. So i know theres a big need for new gasx maximum strength. It relieves pressure, bloating and discomfort fast. So no one needs to know youve got gas. Gasx. Maria welcome back. Breaking news, several states are expected to take legal action as early as this upcoming week over the trump adminitrations plan to rollback the socalled flores agreement. This move will allow immigration authorities to detail, detain children on their families indefinitely. Joining me right now is mark morgan acting Border Patrol chief and its great to have you on the program this morning. Commissioner, its not indefinitely though, in terms of holding families. Explain the news on the flores agreement and why its important , sir. Maria youre spot on and thats one of the false narratives out there that were going to indefinitely hold children. Thats absolutely false. Here is why i call this a game changer. Currently, right now, under the current flores Settlement Agreement the law right now is that we cannot hold kids more than 20 days or families. What that, we cannot fulfill the immigration process within 20 days, so in essence what that led to is the significant part of what we refer to as catch and release and we talked about that before, so right now you come here as a family. A kid is your passport into the United States. Were releasing you right now. The new flores regulation change s that. Thats why its a game changer. With this new regulation, we could hold Families Together and in a healthy, safe environment while they go through the immigration proceeding and then if there are claims are merit based claims we reloose and if they are meritless, they will be sent back to their country but we only hold them as long as it takes for the immigration process and history has shown us between 4060 days. Its not indefinite that. Thats a false narrative. Maria somebody comes illegally they want to get caught. They want you to catch them because they know that while you dont have the time to go through the process, by processing these people it takes more than 20 days so youve got to catch and release them . Maria thats exactly right. The cartels and smugglers educated the individuals that its vulnerable population in the northern triangle countries they have taken out radio ads, educating them just that. Grab your kid its a passport into the country. Right now a couple days youre releasing to the interior United States. This flores rig plus a couple things were doing with government of mexico this portion of the catch and release will end. Maria okay, so now, people come to this country and as word gets out that guess what when you get to america you may very well be held for 60 days as long as it takes for the processing to take place and we should point out that the Detention Centers youre talking about that could take 60 days while the processing goes through, medical facilities, what . Its like a camp for the kids youve got childrens recreational. Tell me where you will beholding these people . So maria thats another good point im glad you asked that. Its important, the Family Residential centers which these families will be held, they were actually created in 2015 and 2016 under the Obama Administration. They are campuslike settings with medical facilities, educational facilities, recreational facilities. They arent lockdown. Maria but commissioner having said that youll face a whole wave of litigation are you expecting the lawsuits to begin tomorrow . So since it was published friday, now the litigation actually starts with the plaintiffs and the judge, along with the government, to argue with what is in the flores to make sure that that meets the flores settlement issues within that. We believe the rig not only meets but actually exceeds the conditions and requirements of the flores Settlement Agreement but it will be litigated. Maria i want to ask you real quick about mexico has 25,000 troops helping the u. S. At the border. They continue to strengthen the border. Theyve accepted how many more than 30,000 people, that are waiting in mexico. Tell me who mexico has accepted so far what that means . Maria, again this is a second layer of a game changer that i call it and i think this is important. Its due to this president s negotiation with our partners in mexico and the northern triangle countries as long as this administrations initiative. Right now under the migrant protection protocol, there are over 35,000 individuals waiting in mexico now to go through the yeahs process and those are 35,000 people that would have been in our Holding Facility or released into the interior of the United States. Its another game changer. Maria i want you to tell us the breaking news youve got on the sixmonth old baby in Critical Condition right now at children s hospital in Corpus Cristi very quickly whats the story . Another tragic story. Early morning thursday, her and sixmonth old baby girl father along with 21 other people, were caught illegally trying to enter the country and immediately, they were medically screened, understood she had a congenital disease. They saw an abundance of caution and sent her to a local hospital , which they did. The hospital decided to fly that baby to Corpus Cristi hospital for further evaluation, and weve driven the father with her , and i tell you, hes with her still now. This is another example of why the flores reg is so important. We want to deincentivize people from grabbing their kid and risking their own lives and childrens lives taking this dangerous treck. With this new regulation, were going to deincentivize this behavior and hopefully, more the rest overlove. Maria and guatemala are they going to ratify that this week their own partnership with the United States this week right that they will become the home country for Central Americans very quickly sir. I hope so its looking really strong and thatll be another important step that government of guatemala as well as the government of mexico stepped up to see this as a real regional crisis and working with us. Maria mark thank you so much for joining us a lot there to digest, mark morgan is joining us and of course trade of course the major focus for the president today at the g7 summit this weekend when reporters asked if he had second thoughts on the volatile trade dispute with china here is how he answered. President trump i have second thoughts about everything. Maria wow the white house has since clarified that the only thing the president regrets is not raising interests even more. Want to bring in Jonathan Ward the author of chinas vision of victory, and he is a china expert and it is great to have you on the program this morning. Good morning. Maria the president ramped up the trade war after the close, market was down better than 600 points on the china retaliation on friday. Then the president came out and raised tariffs even more on the chinese after the close, so tomorrow will be the first time markets get to react to what the president did. What does the road ahead look like your reaction . Absolutely so people need to understand where this is going. People are expecting some kind of grand bargain with china or resolution to the trade war are missing the picture which is the beginning of economic competition between china and the United States. This is a country that wants to overtake us and a dominant economic and military super power and the United States is beginning to reorient towards this long term competition so we have to win the economic competition and were starting to see where this has to go is towards reintegration with our allies. Our Global Alliance system the worlds democracies are still twothirds of the world economy, so you see that today with the g 7 with the announcement of the freetrade agreement thats japan, britain may be next, you have nafta being reorganizing all of this is basically geo political rebalancing that has to take shape as weve come together to offset china. Maria do you think china can win in terms of this fight to become global dominating if the president has moral lies and really be able to do that . Youre saying if china is competing against twothirds, of the world its a little different than china competing with just the United States. Thats right and thats where we have the china vs. The u. S. Is a tough contest but china versus the democratic world is much harder so thats the next phase of this competition is can one bring together the alliances to set that foundation. Maria you were the first person to bring the term Civil Military fusion into the lexicon for our viewers. I want you to talk about that a bit, because the bottom line is as you first told us, months ago , when theres an important innovation that comes into china , like ai, whatever it is, the first place it needs to be checked or used is the military. Yes . Well the way that Civil Military integration, Civil Military fusion works is it says that any in know viega that happens in chinas industrial economy must be brought ultimately to the Peoples Liberation army and part of their objective to close the gap with the u. S. Military. China is building the military thats designed for conflict with the United States and our allies, so this is part of why Economic Engagement will have to have its limits and theyve taken 25 years worth of technology to transfer towards joint ventures and these things and built this into a military thats designed to compete with us in the pacific. Maria so your firm that you found is a senior outfit in terms of Foreign Policy decisions, congratulations on the firm that youve built. What do you want to see happen in terms of the road ahead between the u. S. And china . What does that look like . Id like to see, so atlas were advising American Companies essentially on u. S. China strategic competition one of the key things is were helping Companies Understand the chinese competitors coming out of china incubated in this country thats taken so much intellectual property where they pes regoing. Maria what if theres no deal with china . If theres no deal, i think people are going to have to start looking elsewhere. That makes sense. Ultimately, youre going to have to get on on the right side of this long term competition in the end its an economic competition and the fortune 1,000, the u. S. Fortune 1,000 is twothirds of our economy so having the office core of the fortune 1,000 being ready for u. S. China economic competition is really what we need. Last weekend we had an activist on and basically said if this extradition bill goes, hong kong is over. Tell me what the protesters in the streets, 1. 52 Million People every day fighting for their autonomy what does that mean for the u. S. China deal . I think what it shows us is an example of how china uses power against the own people and if they go too far on this then i think disengagement will move even faster and further. Maria so it is pressureing beijing as they deal with President Trump. Great to have you jonathan. Thank you. Im going to make with the lt. General next week and i want to declassify as much as possible and the American Public to hear the story. I want all of this information to come out and i dont want people to believe what i said, i want them to read for themselves , how bad it was, how the warrant application to the fisa court i think was quite frankly a fraud on the court. Maria a fraud on the court. That was Senate Judiciary committee mix Lindsey Graham on this program last week updating us on the multiple investigation s into the alleged fisa abuse and potential wrongdoing in launching the russia investigation. My next guest is a central figure former Trump Campaign Foreign Policy advisor carter page and carter its wonderful to have you. Great to be with you maria. Maria you have an esteemed career i want to start there because our viewers know that weve covered this story very effectively from the get go, poking holes in this whole idea of collusion, poking holes in the fisa court situation, but you have worked with the government for a long time, before they actually turned on you. Tell me your career as a government informant after you worked at the pentagon and after in the navy tell us about it. Well i got out of the navy in 98 and i was on a Research Fellowship at a Foreign Policy think tank and i was actually the first time its a civilian as you mentioned i spent a lot of time doing intelligence tasks in the military, but that was the first time when i actually did stuff as a civilian, and so one of the guys i worked closely with was Chris Stevens who was the iran desk officer at the state department in 9899 and we had a long ongoing dialogue, and so a lot of similarities between what happened with him, and the lack of responsibility by these democrat administrations. That was during the clinton administration, but the also of his life was really a continuation of that. Maria so the bottom lynn is youve worked as a government informant for what, two decades . Yes. Maria okay, and somewhere along the line, they obviously turned on you, because they wiretapped you. Yeah. Maria fast forward to 2013 or so when you are an informant for government about a spy ring in new york, involving three russians. Yeah, well listen. It was something where there was a lot, they did an indictment. I spent time with the fbi in 2013 giving them all of the information they needed. Maria this is under the Obama Administration. It was under the Obama Administration and then a number of top officials, attorney general holder, u. S. Attorney and john carlin in january of 2015 a year before the start of the when i joined the i was a volunteer on the Trump Campaign, they had this indictment, and it was just maria of the three russians. Yeah, of the three russians and so i was one of the main sources. Im male 1. Maria thats interesting, because were looking at a timeline in 2013 youre male number one and they indict these people and the indictment comes down in january 2015 and they name you. Well theres this big thing about masks and unmasking and i was very lightly masked and there are a lot of problems in that indictment and they really kind of put me out on a limb. Maria thats what i want to ask you because then you start getting Death Threats your lift was in danger lets take a short break and well hear more from carter page. Tell me what happened in 2015 after the indictment was handed down on the russians. Well really, in march of 2016, they called me into come testify in the Southern District of new york. Maria on that case . Yeah, and listen, there were so many falsehoods, and misrepresentations in their indictment the prioryear. I said i am not going to lie in court. Similar to the false Court Filings with the doj and the fbi has submitted in this case, and so it was a long back and forth with them but i told them, i am a man of my word and im not going to, you know, provide false testimony like theyve donald very similar between the false testimony which they did and that case against the russians, and the false testimony which they did a few months later in october of 2016 with their start of the fisa abuse. Maria you never actually testified in the spy ring circus in terms of that, but this all goes to government inform apts and you could look at patrick by rne from overstock. Com right . Well basically government is taking control of peoples lives i mean, ive lost steps of hundreds of millions of dollars and he lost a couple hundred million off his market cap just based on these falsehoods. Maria you mean the stock lost hundreds of millions of dollars . Yes. Maria not you . I saved hundreds when i switched my Car Insurance to geico. This is how it made me feel. It was like that feeling when you pull your green sock out of the dryer and then the very next sock is the other green one. And then you pull out two blue ones.
