At a office in texas. These women were being told by pbc officers to drink out of the toilet. They were Drinking Water out of the toilet. Charles but i will be joined with one official who has been at the same facility and he says she is completely wrong. All that and so much more, on making money. Nike lazing loads of controversy, cans hing plans to feature the original, talking about the betsy rossstyled american flag. Because poster boy, former nfl quarterback Colin Kaepernick told them the flag was offensive and reminiscent of slavery. The sneaker was supposed to commemorate the 4th of july. Has Political Correctness gone too far, are there no limits on future references to erase history . Deroy murdoch and host of the rick ungar show, rick ungar. Your thoughts on this move in general . I think nike made a huge mistake. In any country youre going to have some bad, part of reality. You know what, you will have a lot more good. Nike didnt put the betsy ross flag on the shoes to bring up the bad. They put it on there to sell rate and commemorate the good. They should have left it there i will add quickly, i hear there are White Supremacy groups who adopted the betsy ross flag. You know what . To heck with them. That flag belongs to you. It belongs to you. It belongings to me. They cant have it. This was all wrong i would get the shoes back out in the store. Charles what do you think, deroy . Rick is absolutely right. Appalling, two days before Independence Day is particularly offensive. Why i dont know why were listening to Colin Kaepernick. He is failed Football Player of the has not played football since 2016. He is no moral leader. Put the sneakers out there, stop endless whipping and complaining. What is ironic to a degree, nike pulled a sneaker in china made in collaboration with the japanese activist. So you know theyre woke in america. Theyre asleep in china. You wonder, are they taking americans for granted . Do they think this doesnt matter . I dont get it from a corporate point of view . Nike has a long history when it comes to marketing trying to be on the edge. I think this time they went over the edge. They took advice i have no problem with Colin Kaepernick, if he is part of nike, wants to advise them, fine. Listen to his advice. If i were listening to the advice, i say thank you very much, colin for your point of view, i dont agree with you this time. I dont agree. Charles i thought about it, i put out a tweet. I was asking a question, i do really wonder, you have to think in the name of social justice, columbus day is just about gone. Betsy ross is now out. Really, im being, im not being facetious here, could there be a day when we could start to remove images of George Washington and Thomas Jefferson . People are talking about that already. Talking about taking down jefferson statues. The washington mon out meant will be there a long while. At a school they wanted to paint over a mural of George Washington. Charles to your point, the San Francisco mural was considered degrading. I implore everyone to look at it after the show. But one of the people who said they thought it was mistake, said the mural wasnt there to glorify the killing of native americans but to criticize the genocide. In fact it was made by, you know, sort of a socialist call that day, charles, payne day . Charles it was something. You know, what troubles me about this, i am a liberal. Im a progressive and it starts to look like this is what all progressives think. Its not. Most of us understand the balance between understanding your history, as i said, find me a country that doesnt have bad . In its history. Absolutely. Were no different in that regard. We have a lot of good. Why were still living here, folks. You dont have to live here. You want to live here. You cant overdo these things. It does styles get to the point where people are going over the line. Charles deroy, you will have some black people who will see the segment, you had a couple guyses there are uncle toms trying to defend betsy ross and the flag. For me i think the issue, i prefer to see young black men looking forward. No one here is saying racism doesnt exist. No one is saying we dont have issues in the country. Im proud where we come relatively short period of time. Absolutely right. We can spend all our life looking at rear view mirror, looking at things that went wrong, slavery, and remain in the fetal position. As you say look forward, try to improve ourselves, start companies, get educated. That sort of thing. Look in the past. Great work of louis armstrong, ella fitzgerald, George Washington carver, patriots in the American Revolution who were black and all that. Charles every single war. Every single war. Really important people like me do look backwards and do understand our history. Why . Because when you understand history you are less likely to repeat it. It is important to know. But that doesnt mean you have to denigrate everything good youve done, everything you stand for, even if youre not happy right now with things that might be happening in your country. Charles because you can fix, that should be the focus. Deroy, rick, thank you very much. Appreciate it. Happy fourth. Charles great guests. President trump revels, we all know this, the fact he is unorthodox towards foreign policy, a lot of other things but i would think you have to agree President Trumps diplomacy methods, no one would disagree theyre not working but just last night, President Trump was on fox news. He issued a stern warning to iran, calling off retaliatory military strikes. I want to bring in Hudson Institute senior fellow michael prigen. I see more people focused on the donald trump approach. I got to tell you something, it seems to yield certain results. It seems to also say there are other ways to do things. Listen at the dmz, michael, i saw a foe of president obama, he had on a flak jacket, behind a bulletproof vest and binoculars. Trump gets there, strolls over to the north korean side. This is your, this is your profession. What do you make of it . You like it. I like the trump is foot taller than kim jongun. I like trump went over, wasnt afraid to. Not sure kim jongun would have crossed over to south korea. I like it but i also understand the concern. I dont want to see the president do this with rouhani from iran. I dont want to see the president do this with the Supreme Leader. I think anything the president does to legitimatize the Iranian Regime would hurt the Opposition Movement in iran but i dont think that is the case in north korea. I think this is a young leader, who has been cajoled by this president. It is not the other way around. I think president knows exactly who he is dealing with kim jongun. A 35yearold who is afraid of everything. Who knows he cant have successful future unless the United States helps him with that. Im not naive on this i know he will cheat, he will do things. Charles sure. Trump knows that. Bolton knows that. Pompeo knows that. But i think it is good. I want to see somebody like Chuck Schumer be consistent. If you criticize trump with kim jongun charles people are saying, President Trump always has nice things to say about these vicious, evil people around the world. Erdogan called him a tough cookie. Mbs says he is a friend of mine. President xi, he is a great leader. Kim, we fell in love. Putin, very strong. You know, i call it the charm offensive, but do you have a problem with it . I have no problem with it. I think that a leader is supposed to do that. Youre supposed to shake the hand and smile at a geopolitical foe, keep them off balance. Everyone of these leaders are transactional leaders to include kim jongun. I like the way the president played off Mohammed Bin Salman against erdogan. Had him front and center the a g20. People didnt like that. But its a power move. A way to marginalize a geopolitical foe. Turkey is not supposed to be a geopolitical foe, theyre supposed to be a ally. What erdogan is doing in Northern Syria and iran and erdogan buying s400s from russia. This is good strategy to show u. S. Favor and disfavor with one president , the president. One minute left. To these countries, turkey, to your point, unresolved issues. For the most part people are waiting, watching for this charmed offensive to really work s, do you agree with that . Lets look at all of this from irans perspective. From the Supreme Leader perspective. President with trump smiling. The president with xi smiling. The president with erdogan smiling. The president with mbs smiling. Iran feels pretty isolated based on u. S. President charm offensive. That is part of this chol thing. China, russia, will always be a pawn in this game. President is smart to engage irans backers in this way. Charles michael, thank you very much. Thanks for having me. Charles Kamala Harris breakout moment at the first democratic debate has her breaking out in the polls. Not just harris, but all the female candidates are moving up. Inciting hopes that the year will be that we say madam president. New explosive claims from congresswoman alexandria ocasiocortez against the Border Patrol agents at a texas detention facility. Well hear from the president of border commerce, security council, who visited the facility in question. Says her claims are false. These women were being told by cpb officers to drink out of the toilet. They were Drinking Water out of the toilet. That was them knowing a congressional visit was coming this is cpb on their best behavior. [ sigh ] not gonna happen. Thats it. Im calling kohler about their walkin bath. My name is ken. How may i help you . Hi, im calling about kohlers walkin bath. Excellent happy to help. Huh . Hold one moment please. [ finger snaps ] hmm. Its soft. The kohler walkin bath features an extrawide opening and a low stepin at three inches, which is 25 to 60 lower than some leading competitors. The bath fills and drains quickly, and the door ensures a watertight seal, so you never have to worry about leaks. Kohlers walkin bath was designed with convenient handrails for added stability and safety. The wide, ergonomic seat is tilted back for comfort and stability. It has a channel so water wont pool on it. And it positions you perfectly by the controls. While the heated seat soothes your back, neck and shoulders, warming up your body before, during and after the bath. Kohler is an expert in bathing, so you can count on a deep soaking experience. Honey, are you seeing this . The kohler walkin bath comes with powerful, fully adjustable hydrotherapy jets and our exclusive bubblemassage. Oh yeah, thats the stuff. Everything is installed in as little as a day by a kohlercertified installer. And its made by kohler americas leading plumbing brand. We need this bath. Yes. Yes you do. A kohler walkin bath provides independence with peace of min. Would you mind passing my book there. Once again, thats. And financing is available for qualified purchasers. Hey i live on my own now ive got xfinity, because i like to live life in the fast lane. Unlike my parents. You rambling about xfinity again . Youre so cute when you get excited. Anyways. Ive got their app right here, i can troubleshoot. I can schedule a time for them to call me back, its great you have our number programmed in . Ya i dont even know your phone anymore. Excuse me . what . I dont know your phone number. Aw well. He doesnt know our phone number you have our fax number, obviously. Todays xfinity service. Simple. Easy. Awesome. Ill pass. Neil . Charles you know what . They got their groove back. Kamala harris and elizabeth warren, early hopes that the another woman would lead the democratic ticket. Cnn poll showing joe biden slipping 10 an points down to 22 . Kamala harris skyrocketing second place. Only five points. Elizabeth warren not far behind. Joining me, hadley heath manning, from independent womens forum. The narrative in the media changed dramatically. Feels like full circle. Entering this election this is year the democrats would show america, the world, it was woke, hip, about blacks, about hispanics. The first polls came out, two old white guys were at top of it. Now feels like all of the social, whatever, you know, all of the help people are happy again . Yeah, identity politics crowd. Theyre certainly room for everybody in a field that is wide open as the democrat primary feel is right now. I think what were seeing after the debate is a shift in favor of a couple particular female candidates whether Kamala Harris or elizabeth warren, who both had excellent performances. A lot of voters do want to see america elect a female president. Hillary clinton was a bad test case in 2016. She has a unique set of problems and baggage that came along with her as a candidate. There are many voters out there, including strong majorities of democrat men and women who see a surge in female candidates as a good thing for their party, for the country. I wouldnt be surprised at all to see a female clinch the nomination. Charles although, to your point, until a week ago, maybe they wanted to see a female, but when asked by pollsters they went with biden or bernie. Does that Say Something about the Natural Inclination to say one thing but always vote for the men . Or does it Say Something just to your point, this is hillary was such a bad candidate, perhaps she cast a stigma or question marks about a woman candidate . Ultimately voters on both sides of the aisle will ultimately prioritize other factors and not gender when it comes to voting which i think its a great thing. That suggests women have made so much progress it is no longer simply about who is man or woman but democrat voters as with any primary, not thinking about the candidates or issues, theyre thinking about this other very hard to describe quality which is electability. Theyre thinking about who can face off against President Trump, how well the gender politics shape up. In a recent poll, a very Strong Majority of americans said they want to see a female president but openly 1 3 of people thought their neighbors would think that it would be good that we have a female president. There are some suspicion that americans are more sexist than we actually are, voters hold it against a candidate simply because she is a woman, that may not be actually the case. That is more encouraging news americans may not be as sexist we think of one another. Charles 30 secondses. I have to ask you, history shows women dont vote for women. Where does that fall on the sexist category . You know, small majority of all voters are female. 53 of voters are women. Women have higher propensity of to vote. Women like men care about issues. Sort of a myth, that women only cared about subset of issues, pay family leave or abortion. They care about the economy, health care. They will vote top of mind on issues, rather than whether or not a male or female running. Charles hadley, always appreciate it. Thank you. Charles major indices hovering near alltime highs. Who used expedia to book the Vacation Rental which led to the discovery that sometimes a little down time can lift you right up. Expedia. Everything you need to go. Charles talk about a weird market . This is moving sideways, amid the Trump Administration threatening additional tariffs on four billion dollars worth of european goods. Investors awaiting fridays jobs report. Economists are expecting 160,000 jobs were added last month. That would be up from mays very disappointing 75,000. Joining me david dietze of point view wealth management. Jason rotman of lido isle advisors. Jason, let me start with you. It has been a long time since you and i talked. Im not sure where you are on this market but feels like to me, it could be a coiled spring. Im just not 100 sure what gets it to move . I think from, obviously we can look at a few different things, charles. First things first, the jobs report. My hunch if we come in right at expectations or slightly below, the market will look at both of those outcomes as very favorable. If it comes in at slightly below, will it make the fed a little bit more dovish . Probably. If it comes in right in line, hey, a win is a win. 150, 160,000 jobs are being created at the market near alltime highs. Thats a good sign. It is kind of saying were not quite done yet. I dont really see anything majorly bearish on the horizon especially with the trade war kind of simmering down. So i think were in a pretty good spot right now. Charles you know yesterday, david, we were up 290 dow points. Then the manufacturing data came out. It was the lowest number in three years. It wasnt as bad as anticipated and wasnt contraction. We lost the rally almost instantly. That gets back to what jason alluded to, Federal Reserve up to 50 basis point cut, later this month. Some people say that is nuts. Fed is what everyone is looking at, isnt it . Absolutely. The fed is the safety net under the market. Charles safety net . Theyre talking about this thing being a catapult. We have strong economy. 160 jobs created. Economic expansion, 21 months. Consumer expanding strong. If we keep the economy on track, given the low Interest Rates, i think the market will go much higher. If there is weakness, short fall, you know the fed is ready perhaps like 50 basis point immunization, that could launch the market higher. Charles glad you brought up the expansion. Jason, this is the longest expansion in history, but if you add up gdp points it would be number three by a mile. 6169, 500 gdp point. This one only 276. This long expansion, but lame, weak, struggling expansion the whole time. Does the fed take that into account . You know what it is, these are great points for everybody who is watching to understand is that, for example, corporate buybacks have, you know, really been one of the major propellants or catalysts last 10 years. It is not gdp, 800pound gorilla for the bull market. There are other reasons besides the economy growing at whatever rate it is growing. The zero Interest Rate, low Interest Rate policy, caused all the corporations to buy back their stocks. It is like an arbitrage. If they borrow 1 , their own stock yields 2 a year, why wouldnt you invest billions of dollars into the strategy. That is why trump, really everyone else, doesnt want Interest Rates to go that much higher. It will throw everything off. It is not just gdp. Charles there is a great story that corporate buybacks waning on purpose. Or Interest Rates. Charles so, david, heres the thing then. I think were on the cusp of a major breakout through a triple top. Historically when weve done that, we can rally for another two or three years. Is that, in your mind possible . It is certainly possible. I mean youve got Interest Rates which now are the lowest since like 2016. Youve got monetary forces all around the world now are almost in concerted effort to inject more liquidity into the system. I think certainly if we get some positive news on the trade negotiations that will also boost confidence. So why not go higher . One thing i would say about the gdp, reason for, i think a little bit of lagging housing hasnt been there. Now we have the Interest Rates coming down. At that could give another leg to housing and real estate. That could help drive this market higher. Charles jason i have less than a minute. Bond yields are sort of getting hit pretty good again today. Are you concerned at all . Typically the bonds are the canary in the coal mine . Yes, they are typically the canary in the coal mine, however, the whole world is in a low Interest Rate environment. I mean australia bond yields are ridiculously low. I think it is really not necessarily a function of a major depression or correction or recession. It is just the reality the world is understanding that all of the feds, all the Central Banks are really there to, lets face it, support the bull market to continue. Thats really why we see u. S. Bond yields low. I dont foresee, 10, 15, 20 correction anytime soon he specially if we see a trade truce. Charles i should be worried because were all in agreement but im not. Thank you very much. Thank you. Charles new york congresswoman alexandria ocasiocortez making disturbing accusations against the Border Agents at a Migrant Detention Center in clinton, texas. They were Drinking Water out of the toilet. That was them knowing a congressional visit was coming. This is cpb on their best behavior, telling people to drink out of the toilet. Charles blake burman live at the white house with more. Blake. Reporter charles, today, the white house is defending customs and Border Patrol and agents in that division from comments made yesterday by democratic congresswoman from new york, alexandria ocasiocortez. For example, Kellyanne Conway today essentially suggested that the congresswoman was lying. Here was the principle press secretary hogan gidley. I dont know what alexandria ocasiocortez is talking about but then again that is nothing new. I never know what she is talking about. In this particular instance im glad she is saying it is horrible down at the border. Weve been saying that for two years. She and other democrats called us liars. Some republicans said we werent telling truth on matter. The fact we have a terrible situation, humanitarian crisis on the southern border. Reporter the congresswoman took to twitter to defend herself against a report that she was screaming and yelling at agents during her visit down there to the cpb facility. She tweeted out the following saying, quote, when you pair 9500 current and former cpb officers, are part of a violently racist and sexually violent secret Facebook Group, corroborating accounts of abuse, cpb couldnt control their own officers for congressional tour what else do you call that but a rogue agency . Now the first part of her tweet there, charles, she is referring to a report which suggests that there was a secret Facebook Group that was set up of current and former cpb agents which threatened the congresswoman. A spokesperson for cpb, one of the top officials within the agency said if that were the case, that would be quote, completely inappropriate. Charles . Charles blake burman, thank you very much. Joining me, nelson balido, president of the border commerce and security council. Nelson, i understand you visited the same site, that is in clint, texas. Tell us what you saw and make of aocs comment. Good afternoon, charles. By the way i like your blue suit. I tell you, ive been to these areas without congress, with congress, with private sector, by myself and what she is describing is maybe, im thinking she took a wrong turn at bridge of the americas ended up in juarez and mexican jail. I tell you what i find there is not anything that she described. The Border Patrol are absolutely professional. The u. S. Customs officers treat these people with absolute dignity. If they want water, if they want food, they get three meals a day, absolutely with pure dignity. Actually theyre just there to get processed and moved out. Theyre not there for a permanent stay. Charles nelson, the chairman of the congressional hispanic caucus, Joaquin Castro, he was there as well, released a video and photos of Migrant Women held at the border facility in el paso. He said the women were crammed into prison cells. One toilet. No running water. They were separated from their children. Some were hold more than 50 days. What do you make of this . Well, ill tell you if a person want to go to the restroom and they dont want, they are taken an escorted to the restroom. If they get sick, if they have a headache, something hurts they get us courted to the hospital. There is absolute accomodations for everybody that is there. To say that, im just wondering if all these talking points, that aoc and Joaquin Castro and these other ones have they were prepared prior to them. Im convinced no matter what they saw, they were going to tell their story the way they wanted to say it. Charles the Border Patrol, they also have their own video of the visit. They will release it soon. Everyone is waiting to see that. Meantime, these charges about the secret Border Patrol, Facebook Group, called on 1015. 9500 members started in 2016. Now there is investigation. What do you say about that . A what are your thoughts about that . I think this is a facebook, private where people comment. It is not just Border Patrol. Sure there are members charles would you be a appalled by that, nelson, some things were true, what they said about the people there, some images that were posted there . Sure. Everyone has to have certain restraint posting publicly, privately. Certainly people need to be disciplined there have been people disciplined. Really overall understanding of that page is you know, it is, i would think that ocasiocortez has Better Things to do than look at facebook pages. We all know what she likes to do is get likes on facebook. Why she throws these bombs. Last week it was concentration camps. This week people drinking out of toilets. Next week it will be children being caned as they crossborder. She loves to throw the bombs out there, get more media, leftwing media to follow her, more people to follow her on facebook and twitter page. Charles on twitter page i delete things that people put up on my page, it doesnt represent me. The greater issue is the strain. We had 4 1 2 billion dollar emergency package passed. Both sides made some accomodations because it underscores the point you made earlier. This is unique. This is an overwhelming crisis no one was prepared for. Ive seen images of people crammed into crowded ocasiocortez would call them cells under the obama administration. How much support the cpb, the Border Patrol group, need from the American Public to get this done . Because i know theyre overwhelmed right now . They need all the support of everyone. If we would spend half the energy that these members of congress are spending complaining and actually putting together Immigration Reform bill and certainly an asylum refugee reform package, this would stop tomorrow. We would no longer have to have the detention facilities or people suffering or anything like that. But the true, the true issue here is the folks that make the plight all the way from central america, somewhere else in the world, like we said this, is open season for anyone to come to the u. S. And exploit our laws. Look at the way, the folks that never make it. No one, none of that stuff is ever documented. There is hundreds of if not thousands that never make it to the border. They either died or get sexually assaulted or exposed in some other areas. This can stop tomorrow if Congress Takes action today. Charles nelson balido, thank you very much. Thank you, charles. Charles always a critical component ever the American Dream . That is the ability for parent to help children achieve their dreams. We want the best for our children. How we help them changed over generations. These days, parents, mostly in the generationx category dug deep into their own pockets. Many have even taken on debt to make dreams of their children come true. Genx took a big hit during the great recession. Could take a bigger hit in democrats win the white house on slate of free stuff. Someone has to pay for it t aint going to be millionaires and billionaires. Here is novemberville idea from yesteryear. Make children do more of financial lifting. Might be time for gen see to put more elbow grease into their own dreams. Carol moscowitz, she wrote on this topic. And campus reform, cabot phillips. Great article as usual. 22yearold, goes to school in london, jetsets all around. Doesnt forget sometimes where the money is but he telling me is greatful. What is going on here . Generationx is one of forgotten generations. We talk about boomers, millenials charles 40 to 50yearold group . They were hit hard by the great recession. 20 think they will never retire. They dont have savings. When we talk about saving free proposals, canceling student debt, free college for all, generationx. We picture a old rich man will pay for it. Those old rich people are not working anymore. You cant tax their income. Generationx will be left holding the bag. Charles cabot, what do you think . Take every Single Person in generationx, tax them 100 , you wont r wouldnt have money for half of what is being proposed by government or democrats on the debate stage. There is misconception the left is getting away with, wont be your parent, wont be anyone in the middle class paying this. Everyone else will pay their fair share. So many young people want all this free stuff, they will be disproportionately impacted as well. When they try to find a job, so many average Business Owners of america will have a tax burden placed on them to pay for the free stuff. They wont have as much money left over to hire people. It will have inverse effect, adverse effect on people in multiple generations. Something the right needs to stop letting the left get away with, oh, it will be wealthy and 1 t will be all americans, plenty average americans will pay taxes for these things. Charles care, youre a parent. Feels like things changed rapidly. Right. Charles when i grow up, to my kids, my son in particular. Lastly under obama, staying on your Parents Health insurance until youre 25, 26, that kind of thing, because theyre young, you know. Younger kids, they join a football league, on travel team. Just the amount of money that is spent to raise children these days. Is there something inherently that could go wrong there . Just the idea, hey, i should be on under my parents wing at later and later age in life . Absolutely. We keep deferring adulthood. All of these plans. Stay on your parent netflix account, on their phone bill, all of it, much later than we ever did. I absolutely think that is huge issue. To cabots point. I think the big story this week should be that Bernie Sanders finally admitted that the middle class will be paying higher taxes. The fact that is not a walltowall story from republicans is sort of surprising. It really should be the biggest take out of the debates. Charles cabot, could be it republicans are concerned now the National Narrative is that young adults are, children, that they need to be under their parents wings for much longer period of time because of things like college debt . So it is a dicey area for them to go or why arent they trying to take advantage of this . Well i think that is absolutely happening. Young people have been coddled so much more than in past generations as far as being, what they can actually handle. I would point out, i made my own netflix accounts, my parents stole it from me. There is a little bit of a reverse trend going on there i think it is important to look why this is happening in the first place . Why are all the free things being promised would have been fringe a few years ago are now considered mainstream . It is because of fundamental misunderstanding that so many people have been indoctrinated to believing that the government is the solution to your problems. They can grant you fingers and grant you new rights like education, health care, debtfreehigher education, those things. The misunderstanding of governments role in life, people are i can requester to embrace any idea, any new rights the government comes up with, they think everyone else will pay for it. That is just what the government does. Charles less than a minute to go, but for millenials are there epiphany from millenials sounds this is too good to be true .
