FARMINGTON, KENDALL WHERE DID THE PROTEST HAPPEN? THE ORGANIZER TELLS ME STUDENTS PROTESTED IN THE CAFETERIA AND OUTSIDE THE FARMINGTON JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL TODAY. THE ORGANIZER TELLS ME STUDENTS ARE ANGRY ABOUT WHAT HAPPENED EARLIER THIS WEEK. FARMINGTON SCHOOL DISTRICT DID NOT DETAIL WHAT HAPPENED BUT DID RELEASE THIS STATEMENT: FARMINGTON SCHOOL DISTRICT IS NOT IMMUNE TO THE SOCIAL ISSUES CURRENTLY AFFECTING OUR NATION. WE WILL ALWAYS STRIVE TO BE PART OF THE SOLUTION...THE DISTRICT HAS TAKEN APPROPRIATE ACTION TO INVESTIGATE THE SITUATION AND ASSURE THE SAFETY OF STUDENTS." AUBREE HUTCHERSON SAYS STUDENTS FELT THAT IT WAS IMPORTANT TO PROTEST TODAY IN REGARD TO "RACIST INCIDENTS" THAT HAPPENED AT HER SCHOOL. INCLUDING WHAT HAPPENED ON TUESDAY.. "we are planning to do this almost every single day until they hear our voices and we see a change."
