Family survives COVID-19, including mother who battled the disease and gave birth prematurely

That’s what happened to an Oklahoma City family.
“Basically, she went into the hospital pregnant and when she woke up, she was no longer pregnant,” Marilyn Lopez Murillo said of her mother, Maria Murillo.
Lopez-Murillo said COVID-19 targeted her entire family. Back in June, all seven members of her household were diagnosed with COVID-19.
Murillo, who was five months pregnant at the time, got the worst of it. She developed pneumonia and was admitted to St. Anthony Hospital and later transferred to Integris and put on a ventilator.
