Red Bull's Max Verstappen clinched his sixth consecutive victory, the eighth in ten races this season, on Sunday at the British GP at Silverstone. The two-time reigning world champion still flew over the race despite an average start and continues to escape the provisional world championship standings. The Dutchman is one step closer to a third consecutive world title, especially as his first pursuer, teammate Sergio Pérez, took only sixth place. McLaren's Lando Norris was the hero of the day and stole the show from local idol Lewis Hamilton, who won a record eight British GPs. The day was disastrous for the French Alpine team as neither of its two cars reached the finish.
