Escapee 'Kaka' pleads guilty to shooting cop he disarmed

Ricardo Richards, the man who was recently recaptured after allegedly disarming and shooting a policeman before escaping from the National Chest Hospital in St Andrew last month, has pleaded guilty to charges relative to the incident.
The accused, also known as 'Kaka', pleaded guilty to robbery with aggravation and wounding with intent last week in the Gun Court section of the Home Circuit Court.
He is to be sentenced on June 18.
On Friday, March 12, Richards reportedly disarmed and shot a Denham Town-based police officer before making his escape from the National Chest Hospital where he had been taken for medical treatment.
