Energy efficient streetlights for Lee-on-the-Solent in New Year

New streetlights in Hampshire to reduce carbon footprint
MORE streetlights in Hampshire will be upgraded in the new year as part of £3.2m investment to improve the county's carbon footprint.
Dozens of streetlights in Lee-on-the-Solent will be replaced as Hampshire County Council wants to reduce its energy consumption.
75 lamps in the town will be replaced with energy efficient LED lights.
Earlier this year, 12,000 high-powered lamps were replaced with more efficient LEDs.
It comes as part of the council's £3.2m investment which is set to save the authority £500,000.
Roads that will benefit include: Richmond Roar, Victoria Square, Montserrat Road, Osborne Road, Kings Road, Nottingham Place and the southern section of Swanage Road.
