Emmerdale is set to be the first soap to feature a character receiving a coronavirus vaccine.
The Sun reports the ITV programme will air a scene in March that will see Eric Pollard reveal to his son David Metcalfe (Matthew Wolfenden) that he has had his first jab, meaning he will soon be able to spend more time with his young grandson, Theo.
A long-term Dales resident, Eric is played by 72-year-old actor Chris Chittell, whose age places him in one of the top priority groups to receive a vaccine in the UK.
It's hoped the heart-warming scene will encourage vaccination uptake.
