Emergency crews recover body of missing Chattahoochee kayaker, identify him as Lawrenceville man

Emergency crews have recovered the missing Chattahoochee River kayaker. The kayaker was identified as David Southin, 41, of Lawrenceville.
Firefighters were called out to the Chattahoochee River for a reportedly missing kayaker around 1:30 a.m. Tuesday.
Forsyth County’s Swiftwater team was already in the water and found a kayak without anyone in it.
They called in help from Gwinnett County because the kayak was found in their jurisdiction.
