Got vaccinated, still got COVID-19 — it does sound like a pandemic punchline, an April Fools’ joke built for our times.
Alas, it is just so, as evidenced by an alarming story from our Elizabeth Payne in our Wednesday editions. A number of frontline health workers at the University of Ottawa Heart Institute became infected with the virus, and this after being vaccinated with a first dose of the best stuff we have.
